Today I had the pleasure of seeing Pippin and Mowgli again! I heard the Pippin is quite the runner now, and oh boy is he ever! I took him first to wear him down before bringing Mowgli with us. He had so much energy that I decided to take him on a 'bear hunt' i.e. - to the zoo to see the bears! He wasn't super sure what he was supposed to be looking at, so I set him down and made him sit in front of the enclosure for a picture. We were outside on the path so it's not great, but in the very background of the photo there is a black bear, I promise! Then we stopped in the river for a drink and a cool-down before looping back to get Mowgli. On the way, we saw some geese and goslings and Pippin was VERY excited! We picked Mowgli up and headed off to the Elbow River paths to get a change of scenery for Pippin, and they were both so excited to be out that while we were waiting for a light, a fellow pedestrian who was also waiting turned to me and said 'they're very into it!' Yes they are! We enjoyed the quieter, shadier paths of Elbow River and the slightly more sedate pace Mowgli picked for us for a little bit before heading home. They are such buddies, but the way they show it is usually with play growls and snarls! They showed this off to many passersby, much to everyone's amusement. When we got back, they enjoyed some water the painter very kindly left out for them before I coaxed them inside. I had a very fun hour with these two buddies, and I can't wait for tomorrow! Thanks boys! Mowgli - 2 poops, many pees. Pippin - 1 poop, many pees.
