DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: DURATION: 1 hour 2 minutes When I arrived today, I knocked on the door and called out to Wilson. I was greeted with a tentative growl and a wet nose peaking around the corner. So I sat down by the front door and waited for Wilson to come say "hi". It didn’t take him long to come over for scratches once I asked if he wanted to go outside for a run! Wilson had pep in his step today and we started out at a good pace. We chose a different route today, but I think next time we will go in the opposite direction, every path we took was up hill today! We ended our run in the backyard with a quick splash in the pool and a quick game of catch. It was a perfect day for a lunch run. The sun was out, but not too hot and no smoke. You look great today buddy! ❤️ The Scoop: 5 pees, no poops. Runner: Michelle W.

DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.8 km DURATION: 1 hour Today was a Tour de Wilson. When I arrived Wilson greeted me with what I am sure is his best pup of the house voice. He was a bit unsure of me until I asked if he wanted to go outside and go for a run. Then, he crept closer and sat down beside me. He was trembling a bit. But after a couple of cuddles and scratches, he settled right down. Then, I asked if I could put his harness on and he put his head down and let me slip it on with no problem. I did put it on upside down at first. I am not very familiar with Rocky Ridge and I had no idea where we should go, but Wilson set a fast pace and decided where we should go! Our path was a bit loopy and full of backtracking because he kept picking the path that headed back home. We ran for 45 minutes and he hadn’t pooped so I slowed down to a jog. He peed, but no poops today. Then, we popped into the backyard. Wilson flopped into the pool. I was a bit jealous as it looked really refreshing. Then, we alternated between lying in the pool and playing catch for the rest of our time together. He is a real sweetheart, I very much enjoyed running with him today. The Scoop: 3 pees, no poops. Runner: Michelle W. DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE:10.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 4 minutes The super cute Doodle runs again! As far as runs and dog runs go that was about as flawless as one could hope for. Wilson was awesome. He was super happy to see me and was really great on the run. Beautiful weather and scenery got some nice pics of the photogenic little man. We saw next to no one and had zero issues. It was a really great easy run. The Scoop: 1 poop, couple of pees. Runner: Mark DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 10.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes Reunited and it felt so.... AWESOME!!! We crushed that run! 10km in 56 flat and it was super hilly and super windy. Wilson was super happy and excited to see me. He wasn’t hesitant or stubborn on our run; not one bit. We took off and never looked back. I love how indifferent he is and doesn’t have a care in the world for anything else. It was really nice to just cruise along and not be on point all the time. It was an absolute pleasure. Hopefully he is good and tired! The Scoop: 0 poops; several pees. Runner: Mark DGR RUN OF THE DAY #11 ![]() DISTANCE: 9.2 km DURATION: 1 hour Perfect conditions today. It was warm yet overcast, no wind and just beautiful. We had very little separation issues today and he got over it quickly and we had an awesome run. It wasn’t the most scenic as I had to do 800 meter repeats so we went back and forth on the boulevard but he loved it. We cruised and he gave me some good pulls at times. Looking forward to Thursday. The Scoop: 3 pees, 1 poo. Runner: Mark DGR RUN OF THE DAY #9 ![]() DISTANCE: 8.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute It was a great run today. We had a little separation anxiety right away but we worked it out quickly and we had a really good run. Did a new route through some trails up by the YMCA. Who knew we had caribou farms right there! See you next week! The Scoop: several pees. Runner: Mark DGR RUN OF THE DAY #6 ![]() DISTANCE: 8.8 km DURATION: 1 hour It has been a while since I’ve run Wilson and today was an adventure. Having his mom home while we left made it more of a stressful event for him due to leaving her. He wanted nothing to do with running. I was almost dragging him at points. It was pretty funny. Then I remembered he is a ladies' man and he followed my lovely girlfriend Christie everywhere she went on the bike! She went in front and we were off to the races! Earning his trust again will be good for us. Stay safe! The Scoop: 1 pee. Runner: Mark DGR RUN OF THE DAY #1 ![]() DISTANCE: 14.2 km DURATION: 1 hour 32 minutes Another solid longer run for Wilson and me. I took him for a car ride down to Shouldice Park and we went from there. His mom was right when she told me that Wilson would want to GO! Right out of the gate, he wanted to sprint. So much fun! I also saw his uber competitive side today! Some guys were running kilometre repeats and let me tell you when they passed us, Wilson was having none of it. He took off after them, or at least as fast as I could go. Amazing. He is awesome! The Scoop: 2 pees, 1 poo. Runner: Mark DGR RUN OF THE DAY #5 ![]() DISTANCE: 13.4 km DURATION: Well, someone had a spa day! Clean cut and smelling good, Wilson was in tip top shape. Holy WINDY!!!! It was insane today. We were getting blown all over the place. This was a solid strong run. Thanks to Wilson's mom for letting me take him a little longer today. The Scoop: 5 pees. 1 poo. Runner: Mark DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 9.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 4 minutes Wilson and I were a little sad that the clouds rolled in and it got overcast. We were hoping to work on our tans in the sun. It was still a beautiful day. There were lots of puddles and slush for us to dodge today. A great melt has begun. See you next week. The Scoop: 2 pees. Runner: Mark DGR RUN OF THE DAY #4 ![]() DISTANCE: 10.1 km DURATION: 1 hour 13 minutes Green means go! Once donning his green harness, Wilson was keen to get out the door and start running. We ran a long loop around his neighbourhood past several green traffic lights. Our pace slowed up a bit when we got to some snow-covered pathways within the neighbourhood. Once back on plowed paths and sidewalks, we charged at a fast pace all the way back home. My green buff that matches his harness sure made us feel extra fast—matching is key to running in sync. Runner: Lauren DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE 8.7 km DURATION: 2 hours Good Morning Lovebug😍. Huxley, you have the most exuberant greetings. Shoes, mitts, balls, toys whatever he can fit in his mouth is what he greets you with. Today, he took the mitts out of my hand to come back smiling and wagging his tail. It is just you and me today Hux Pup. Your bestie Marley B has started her Christmas vacation. Plus Aoife is on delivery presents with her Poppa. Let's try and hit as much off-leash as we can get in. Huxley was lumberjack obsessed. Branches & sticks just were not acceptable. Tree trunks it had to be🤣. The other unique ’Huxley’ move was the drop-flop-and-roll. There were multiple of these antics today. I believe the snow has to be just the right consistency for this to be accomplished successfully. Oh, Huxley, you crack me up. Xoxo. Merry Christmas to all your humans and furry family members. The Scoop: 2 poos, 24 pees. P.S. Huxley got double treats because he gave me those big eyes to say he would really like Marley’s portion. Yep, totally wrapped around those big: Runner: Michelle |
