![]() DURATION: 7.54 km DISTANCE: 1:49:73 What can I say my beautiful, Stormy? Running you has been one of the best experiences I've had with DGR. You have the sweetest temperament of any dog and excellent recall. You will be loved anywhere you go, multiple wiggly girl, even if you're soaking wet. To celebrate the times we had together, we did a standard run through the grass and then a trip to the river where we threw two large logs for her to bring back. Still a champ even when it's windy out and the water must have been be freezing! You are incredible! Scoop: 1 poop, several pees. Runner: Sarah

![]() DISTANCE: 7.02 km DURATION: 1:46:15 Down to the second last day with my darling Stormy! Running Stormy has been one of those big stress relievers, especially since we walk more often than run. She still makes it a great time and I can chuck logs into the river and she'll fetch them. This girl is wonderful and now that it's getting cooler, she's having a much easier time outside. And she is making friends! Stormy was great today, although she does like rubbing up against her friends and getting them wet after our river excursions. Everyone was pretty happy to play with her though, and watch as she wiggled down the pathway. I'll make our next and last run the best one yet! The Scoop: many pees, 1 poo. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 7.22 km DURATION: 1:46:56 I had a lot of pictures of Stormy today which Tammy will have to weed out, but it's because they're all winners! We had a long walk which I think Stormy really enjoyed. I did not join her in the river, as per usual, but she loved it still and wasn't even shivering. Glad to see this happy pup back to normal. We played in the waist-high grass which was really fun although I almost lost my phone. We met a really playful boy named Lou. He and Stormy shared a stick for awhile until we lost the stick. Then, we went home where Stormy enjoyed a nice dry-off from Dad. Have a lovely weekend my pups ❤️ You earned it! The Scoop: Stormy ahd 3 poops, several pees. (Note from Tammy: I kept them all, as I agree they're all winners!) Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 5.79 km DURATION: 1:21:58 My girl looked a little puffy today, but Stormy's been looked after quite a bit and she may have been having a reaction to some medication. To keep it easy for her, we stayed close to home. Although she was a little slow to start, once we got out and started playing and fetching, she was much better! A little too cold for a trip to the water, but Stormy didn't seem to mind the different path we took. She was excellent as always, although if the weather warms up I'll have to make sure to take her down there at least one last time! For Stanley, I was very surprised that he was willing to go out, but when we did our loop he was determined to get back inside as quickly as possible! Scoop: Stormy had 1 pee, no poo. Stanley had several pees, 1 poo. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 6.94 km DURATION: 1:23:01 I thought I'd bring back the stickers since Stormy and I have only a couple runs left! The trick with Stormy is to walk her, and when you can, let her off-leash like we did on most of our walk through the dogs parks. This lets her choose her own pace. The next trick to Stormy is to always have two toys to throw into the water. That way, when she brings one back you already have the other one in hand so she doesn't get bored. Always figure out which toy is her favourite. You can throw this one far and she'll still get it. If you throw a toy too far and she doesn't care about it too much she won't, I nearly lost the orange toy today because it went a little too far but Stormy can be coaxed to go get it with a little patience. Another trick to Stormy is to throw the toy you want her to bring back home last and start walking back. She'll follow after she's gotten her toy and knows it's time to go. The final trick to Stormy is just love her, which is pretty easy to do, and she'll follow you pretty much anywhere. The Scoop: 2 poos, 2 pees. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 5.90 km DURATION: 1:20:13 I think Stormy is enjoying the walking much better. She doesn't seem to limp or get foot pains anymore. It was pretty chilly outside but Stormy bolted into the water like it was nothing, I guess it's not too cold for her yet although you definitely won't see me going in after her! We saw a couple of dogs out too but Stormy was mostly just excited to show off her toy and wiggle around them. My fingers may be a little numb but it's always a great morning with this girl. She is always so happy to get going and have fun. I hope you continue to feel good Stormy! Scoop: 1 poop, 2 pees. Stanley: 1 poop, several pees. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 6.86 km. DURATION: 1:51:37 What a gorgeous morning for my girl! She's black as night, so we had to put a glow stick around her neck. Instead of doing the typical run down to the river, we took it easy on Stormy (although she was frequently trotting ahead of me anyway). We spent a good long time throwing sticks into the water for her and she looked absolutely gorgeous. The camera doesn't do her justice. Then she picked a light log to take back back with us. We finished up with a thorough dry-off and a walk for Stanley. Glad to see Stormy is feeling much better. As far as I could tell, she didn't have any issues with her paws. The Scoop: Stormy had 1 pee, 1 poo. Stanley several pees, 1 poo. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 5.36 km DURATION: 1:10:36 The puppies were very excited this morning. It was a little chilly outside as there was both mist and smoke out this morning. Unfortunately, you could only smell the smoke. Because of this, Stormy and I took it pretty slow our whole run through. She has been having a little bit of paw problems so we kept the play to an easy tug and toss. She also gets really excited when I sit on the ground and she sits on me. We didn't get down to the river today because of her back foot, but she had a great time snapping off some of the branches from this log we found. All in all, a very easy day. It is always a joy to walk with these two pups. Scoop: Stormy had 2 poops, 3 pees. Stanley had 1 poop, several pees. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 5.22 km DURATION: 1:09:45 On most runs, Stormy and I have developed a system where we take Tuesday off to do some easy play in the dog park and on Thursday, we are back down to the river. Today was the recovery day so we had to make our own fun without the big ol' fancy logs and the river to entertain us. First, we brought Stormy's own toy. Next, we got her a stick, and when we were at the park we found an abandoned soccer ball that Stormy decided was the best find of the morning. She did not trust me not to take that soccer ball away from her; not even for a treat! We saw some familiar faces and Stormy showed off her new toy before we had to abandon it and head for home. Stanley again came on a walk and I think it's safe to say it's a regular thing now. Glad I could make your guys' morning a little more entertaining. See you Thursday! Since Stormy is all black and beautiful, we wanted to head out extra early. 6 a.m. is a nice time. I promised to move at a slower pace and we did some easy jogging so that Stormy would make it all the way to the river. Stormy must have been excited to get to the river as she pulled us all the way there in 30 minutes. She is incredible! Clearly our recovery day helped! It was a great day to get soaked in river water. It was absolutely beautiful out with a small number of cars and people out so we spent some extra time at the river where Stormy found two gigantic sticks. As per usual, there was a quick break for Stanley and a treat for both of them for being such good dogs! I hope you guys stay cool in the coming days. The Scoop: Stormy had 1 poop, 2 pees. Stanley had 1 poop, several pees. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 5.26 km DURATION: 1:12:38 Today was a bit of a shorter day for my girl Stormy. Her back paw was seeming a bit wonky so we took it easy so she could have a great water day on Thursday. We still played some games of toss where we almost lost her toy (oops). I think my new favourite game is hiding from Stormy in the super long grass and calling to her until she finds me. She always gets super excited and starts wiggling her little behind when she does find me. When we got back, today was sort of a three dog day! We walked Stanley and then her cousin, Kismet who is so big. I love how she and Stormy are just sweet natured, heavy-breathing, miniature bulls. I'll see you on Thursday Stormy! It will be bright and early so we can have a nice long time by the river. Stormy: 1 had poo, 2 pees. Stanley had 1 poo, several pees. Kismet had 1 poo, 1 pee. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 6.81 km DURATION: 1:10:14 Today promised to be a hot one again so we finished before 9:00 to keep Stormy feeling nice and cool. Not much out of the ordinary occurred, Stormy was lovely as usual; she is so good on and off leash. We've been working on a sort of trick where I throw a treat to her and then get rid of her logs as fast as humanly possible which has about a fifty percent success rate. Today was just a very easy nice run to the river and then jog back. Stanley has also continued his breaks with me which is always nice to see. I'll see you guys this Thursday, and thanks for the great run Stormy! Scoop: Stormy had no poos, several pees. Stanley had 2 poos, several pees. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 6.84 km DURATION: 1 hour It was certainly eerie but beautiful this morning by the river. A good mist had crawled up the hill and Stormy posed for a moment beside it. Then, we headed down to the water and played with some major sticks. The funniest part though, came after the run. Stormy decided to bring the biggest stick back (probably about 6 feet long but lightweight) but I was pretty much against it so began my usual tactic: I distract her with a treat and fling the stick into the woods. First time, I accidentally flung it onto the path so Stormy found it, then I threw it three more times into the woods but she must have thought this was a game because she just kept finding it and bringing it back. The last time was into a tree far away from the path so thankfully Stormy did not get it. Stanley had his fourth walk in a row with me today too! Had a great time guys! See you next week ❤️Scoop: Stormy had 1 poop, several pees. Stanley had 1 poop, several pees. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 5.36 km DURATION: 1:03:30 Stormy must have seen all the rain today because she was excited and raring to go! I'm still feeling a bit under the weather but the rain was fairly light and we headed out for the park. While there we heard that the river was a bit crazy today so Stormy and I found the biggest stick we could (as long as it was on the ground) and began to toss that around :) We went up and down the same park, making many friends and showing off Stormy's stick which seemed to make all the other dogs jealous. We ended a little slower and a little shorter than our usual, but Stormy was happy enough. I'll have to towel her down. Stanley also came out again today which was a surprise due to all the rain and cold weather, 3rd time in a row! You guys did so well today, good job! Scoop: Stormy: 1 poop, two pees. Stanley: 1 poop, several pees Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 6.65 km DURATION: 1:10:09 Two days in a row I got Stanley to come out with me for a quick walk. This made my day to see him trusting me. It was a little bit warmer than what Munich weather app foretold yesterday, but Stormy and I managed to get out of the heat before 9:00. We started off around 7:30 and headed for our favourite spot by the river. It was absolutely gorgeous out and Stormy had a good time frolicking with a couple of other dogs before we got to tossing the 'stick'. Thankfully, she picked up a smaller one to take home and was showing off her new toy to all the dogs at the off-leash park. Stanley also went pretty easily outside and we did his normal loop where he likes to sniff at the backyards. Thanks for the lovely morning guys! Scoop: Stanley: 1 poo, several pees. Stormy: 1 poo, 2 pees. Runner: Sarah |
