![]() DISTANCE: 9.85 DURATION: 1 hour 18 minutes Hello, my Tuesday Sunshine. Samantha was all ready to go! I found out earlier that today was our last run together for a while. Let's make this one count. I had a great run with Samantha. She even let me catch up to her a couple of times. The Doggy Business Report: just 1 healthy poop. Runner: Michelle

![]() DISTANCE: 9.04 km DURATION: 1:06 Samantha, my dear, it was so great to be back running together. I understand that you are back to 100% so let's get some distance in. Within the first 200 meters, Samantha had done her business and turned to go back home to where brother Samson was waiting. Now really Samantha.....that little of distance is like being outside in the garden🤣. Let's run!! And that is what we did. Samantha was in fine form and as per usual not impressed with the long wait at the lights on Nosehill Drive. We had just finished a great downhill portion of our route and Samantha was flying. We finished off our last kilometre with a little race who could make it home first. Samantha won, all paws down. So great to see you today my speedy friend. The Doggy Business Report: 1 & 1, Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 8.43 km DURATION: 54:30 Samantha was playing a bit shy to start and even hid under a tree in her yard but as soon as we got out, she became her natural born athlete. She is a girl after my own heart and just loves to run. She had a cough early in the week so my plan was to just weave in and out of the neighbourhood so we could walk or return to her home if necessary. She would have none of it; she wanted to run. She also did not cough once! Hurray! We enjoyed each other's company, the sidewalk chalk art and a stop of water on this warm morning. The Scoop: 1 poo and 1 pee. What a nice visit with Samantha and her mom post and pre - run. Cheers! Runner: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 8.77 km DURATION: 1:05:56 Good Morning Little Miss🐾. I have missed my little speed coach. It has been one month since we saw each other. Samantha did not see the need to go slower or a shorter distance today. Build Up is not in her vocabulary. Run Run Run is what she likes. At about the 45 minute mark, I could tell she was panting hard. I insisted that we start a walk/run routine until we were home. Samantha amused me with the walking portion and then ran speedily on the run portion. I do not think that idea of mine was that successful🤣. Ummm.....not the best idea to pick up where you left off a month ago. Canines and humans think differently. The Doggy Business Report: not ever the right moment. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 10.27 km DURATION: 1:17:18 Good Morning Girlfriend! With that, I got a little kiss from Samantha. No ducking out of our 10K goal today. Especially since Mom said you are on holidays from running for 3 weeks. Let's make this one count. The weather was a perfect temperature, so no hurdles on that end. One thing about this route is we have a few traffic lights which my gal Samantha is not impressed with. In her world, she would love to swish straight through and keep the momentum going. Oh, if I only had the Marvel Powers to stop traffic 😊. Once we hit the long incline home, at the 8K mark, Samantha would have loved a few more traffic light breaks. Hey, I am not too proud to say, so would have I. Samantha did slow her pace a bit and once home was on the radar - no more dilly-dallying. What I love is when we get home, Samantha says 'Hi Mom' and then rests at the top of the stairs to be part of the Girl Talk. Keep those paws moving while on holidays Girlfriend. I will miss you. The Doggy Business Report: nothing - nada - nope. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 8.02 km DURATION: 1:11:30 Good Morning Sleepyhead (that is Samantha talking to me!) Today was our first day of summer running hours. We gals were appreciative of the cooler temperature for this morning's run. Today was a different one. Samantha was hoping to go home at each turn. I also don't think my spunky energy meter was on. Samantha and I visited the surrounding community of Edgemont and worked on her posing for photos. She is so gentle, and today was the day to expose this great quality in my dear friend Samantha. Next Tuesday we have a date for 10K🐾. The Doggy Business Report: ladies don't talk about those kinds of things🤣 (0). Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 9.80 km DURATION: 1:12:49 Hi Sammy🐾. Our goal is to go a bit longer in distance today. Of course, Samantha was up for a good old run. The heat was rising but we kept moving. One hydration stop completed and we were at the half-way point time to speed things up. This is the downhill portion of this route and it goes on for a good while. Sammy took the lead as usual. Then I tried to push her a bit faster and then she gave up the lead position to me. I knew that when we got to the bottom of the hill it would be water and rest time. Miss Samantha has never let me lead, the heat was upon us big time. Under a tree, we gals had our second drink and rest stop. Home was only a couple kilometres away so we were in the zone. So much in the zone, that we never notice DGR Dog Quinn who was trying to get our attention. It was not till after I got home that I heard Quinn noticed us and was following us🤣. We were hot, sweaty, and in the zone. It made us a good tracking target for Quinn’s nose. We will stop and smell the roses next time. The Doggy Business Report: closed today. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 8.90 km DURATION: 1:06:53 Happy Soggy Tuesday Samantha. Samantha gave me a smile. She has no aversion to duck and fish like weather. My theory is, "once you're wet, you're wet!". Let's go baby girl and have some fun. Samantha was like a kid with rubber boots on today. Every puddle had to be run through. Oh boy, I am glad I brought a couple of towels. There will be some TLC required after this run. After every puddle, Samantha would look back at me with her tongue out and she was smiling. We had two great 'Dog' encounters today. One owner & pooch came around the corner and surprised me. I made a 'Oh' sound of surprise and 'Smooth as Silk Samantha' just kept looking at me (ignoring the intruders) and gave them some distance. That is an absolutely perfect response! The other was when a younger, but larger brindled dog was across the street and Samantha stopped. He stopped, and her little bum started to wiggle and her tail & ears were in happy mode. Another fantastic response from this used-to-be shy gal. She is blossoming faster than a Spring blossom. The Doggy Business Report: 1 healthy poop. Yahoo! Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 8.78 km DURATION: 1:03:16 I'm BACK Samantha!! I received such a nice reception by Sweetheart Samantha. Her Mom and I had discussed whether or not Samantha may give me the 'cold shoulder' again for being absent. Nope, she still loves me😍. I can tell she also loves being out with Andrea because Samantha seemed more confident. I think our girl Samantha is blossoming leaps and bounds. It was great to be with 'Speedster Samantha'. The heat was rising faster than what both us gals were acclimatized for. Samantha chose some rather undesirable puddles to slurp from. I hope your tummy does not get upset. Summer is upon us and I promise to carry 'fresh/clean' water on our run. The Doggy Business Report: closed for the upcoming long weekend. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 7.77 km DURATION: 1:03:30 Morning runs are the best runs, Samantha loves to stop and smell new things on the run and check things out. It was a great time even when it started to rain. We took things slow when pathways became a bit slick but we still had good energy. During the run, Samantha wanted to get a taste of snow on the fly as she wanted to keep her pace. By end of the run, we had our dry-off shakes and called it a day and rushed back home to be dry and warm. Scoop: 0 poop, 0 pee. Runner: Andrea ![]() DISTANCE: 6.57 km DURATION: 1:00:57 It was all tail wags for Samantha this morning. She was eager to get out and start our run to the journey of the unknown. Samantha was very curious today with sniffing the snow, spotting a squirrel, and meeting new dogs. Samantha wanted to take things a bit slow as pathways were clear until black ice decided to make appearance and slowed us down. She wanted to stop to check out the view and have pets and cuddles. Eventually, our run turn into a walk and we enjoyed each other's company. Samantha was the sunshine this morning when clouds were dark and the sun was hidden. Scoop: no poop, no pee. Runner: Andrea ![]() DISTANCE: 8.25 km DURATION: 1:00:00 It was a good morning with Samantha. She wanted some pets and cuddle time before we headed out for our adventure. We followed her nose to a different route. We took it easy as Samantha wanted to stop and smell the new trails and enjoy the view. We walked and ran side by side and when she got ahead she would always make sure I could keep up with her. We finished off the run with a few loops near her home and head back. Scoop: 1 poop, 0 pee. Runner: Andrea ![]() DISTANCE: 8.15 km DURATION: 1:01:23 The sun was shining, and Samantha was ready to hit the trails. We decided to explore and follow her nose to some new ground. We climb the hills to reach the top to see the beautiful mountain view and we felt like we were on top of the world. It was all smiles despite our legs feeling tired. We were side to side on the way back home. We saw lots of people out heading back as it's Election Day! What a beautiful day! Scoop: no poop, no pee. Runner: Andrea ![]() DISTANCE: 8.12 km DURATION: 1:01:42 What a beautiful morning run with Samantha! With the sun shinning, Samantha wanted to take the lead and show off her wonderful neighbourhood. We checked out her favourite loop and then explored the off-leash dog park trails, Samantha loves her hills and she made sure that I was able to keep up with her. We finished the run with checking out some pathways in her neighbourhood. The Scoop: no poops, no pees. Runner: Andrea ![]() DISTANCE: 9.03 km DURATION: 1:07:36 Hello Sweetheart, ready to run? Samantha was more than ready to ’feel some speed’. We hit the pathway feeling great. At the 1.3K mark, Samantha was interested in playing with a stick. I was watching her with amusement when the next thing I knew I was kissing the pavement and Samantha was straddling me. Her front paws by my shoulders and her back legs at my hips. Samantha was on top of me covering me with kisses. As I resumed normal human position, (standing). I realized I should have been watching the frost-heaved pavement. Oh, sweetheart, I will be slowing us down. We did get a respectable 9K in today. Today's photos are post run🐾. The Doggy Business Report: Samantha was too busy consoling Michelle to create business.
