There were some spooky sightings this week that makes us realize that Halloween is around the corner. Check out our pups and all the pumpkins, ghosts and skeletons!

Today was a perfect day with Nikita and Lucy! Neither of them were in a hurry to get anywhere or do anything, so we just happily ran along at a really steady pace; stopping occasionally for pee and sniff breaks. We didn't even get tangled in the leashes! We went and checked out some new paths in Harvest Hills which the girls loved. We also scouted some soon to be opened paths that look really good! Towards the end of the run, we took a few more shade breaks, and by the end had easily breezed through 7 km. All in all, it was a perfect day, and judging by the constant smiles and snuggles from Nikita and Lucy, I think they would agree! Thanks for the great run girls! No poops for either, 3 pees for Nikita, and the rest for Lucy!

We barely got out of the house before these two snuggle bunnies needed some belly rubs and hugs.😊 Lucy, Nikita, and I wandered aimlessly with our heads in the clouds. While Lucy was rolling in the bunny poo, our friend Nikita was hoovering them up like chocolates!😆 Slowly but surely, we made our way back to where we started. You gals are like a Kit Kat bar... thanks for the break from all the seriousness in the world! CHEERS! The Scoop: 9 pees.

Good things come to those who wait. Nikita has made so much progress with me! Tomorrow, Nikita and Lucy will be going on our first actual run and I am so excited. It is so gratifying when a dog warms up to you. The Scoop: 3 pees and 1 poo.

On Tuesday I promised Nikita and Lucy I’d be ready to run, so when I showed up today, they were so excited to go that even Nikita was dancing around! We got leashed up and out in record time, and since they were so good about walking on Tuesday, the first place we went was their park! We took it easy because I’m a little sprinted out, so the girls got to sniff at a lot more things in the park than usual. One place we completely avoided though was the hornet nest! We then meandered through Coventry, not really with a plan or destination, and the girls seemed to enjoy the laid back nature of it. We went to another park, enjoyed belly rubs and rib scratches under many shady trees, and enjoyed the beautiful warm afternoon. We headed back and did an extra little loop around a cul-de-sac near their house so that we at least hit 4 miles, and then headed inside for some water and more pets. I’m definitely happy these two are back! I had another great hour with them, and I hope they had a great hour too! Thanks girls! 1 poop each, most of the pees are Lucy (Nikita only had 2-3).

I could hear Lucy and Nikita talking to me as soon as I pulled up!😊 They were so excited to get out and take me for a walk. These two little balls of love always brighten my day. Thanks for hanging with me ladies! Cheers! The Scoop: 9 pees.

Today Nikita and Lucy and I enjoyed a walk around their neighbourhood together. I'm still pretty stiff and sore, so I decided that a walk would be perfect, as long as the girls got to sniff whatever they wanted, and enjoy all the shade breaks they wanted. This seemed to be a good compromise for Nikita and Lucy because they grinned the entire time, and of course, got lots of pets! There was nothing much going on in this part of town, but there were a few other runners out that the three of us watched with envy. Soon girls! We ended right around the hour mark because it was starting to get pretty warm out and the girls were making more and more shade stops. We tested out the new doggy log app, and it was great! I definitely had some user error (I gave the app permission to use my location but then didn't give it access to GPS - oops!) but I think it will definitely be fun! I had a great walk with these two girls today, and I hope they had a great time too! Thanks for taking it easy on me girls! Nikita - 1 pee, 1 poop. Lucy - no poops, so many pees.

I had a nice visit with Nikita and Lucy this afternoon. Though it was short, I feel Nikita and I made a lot of progress. Today I was able to leash Nikita without a peep from her. I'm very happy and can't wait until our next visit!
Today was a tiny step in the right direction. No doggy business to report. Photos from archive.

WOW! I got even a better reception than I did yesterday, Nikita and Lucy sure know how to make me smile.😊 It was a warm one out so as I suspected the gals and I took our sweet time soaking in the sun and then resting in the shade.😆 Thanks for putting up with me ladies! I had a lovely time. Cheers!

Lucy and Nikita were slightly confused (I think) about today’s adventure. First of all, we headed in the wrong direction and second why our we out so long?!?!?!!! Oh it’s an extra long pee break!😂 What I’m trying to say is there was minimal running happening.😬 No worries we headed for the trails instead. It’s been a while but I took them on a route (sort of) that we use to take back in the day.😜 I tried my best to go for longer but I had to talk them through the last kilometre and a half ( it was getting hot out) so we headed on back to the cool comforts of home. Thanks for hanging with me ladies! Always a pleasure.😘 A few pees each. Cheers!

Today I spent my time getting to know Nikita and Lucy. Nikita is still a little hesitant and our relationship is still a work in progress but Lucy and I hit it off and went for a nice walk. The Scoop: 2 pees.

These two were full of enthusiasm this afternoon!😊 And I can see that Lucy has been teaching Nikita the high jump😂 After they showed me how light on their feet they are, we headed out. We went down the stairs for a break😆. Nikita dropped for some belly scratches and Lucy needed a snack. We then headed over to Gopher Central, eventually making our way back to their crib. Thanks for a great time ladies! A few pees each. Cheers!

Today started off great, then it was not so great, then was great again! I love all the pets and partying we do when I first arrive - they are so excited and happy that it's infectious. We went to their park early in the run and that's where the not so great part happened - Nikita and I were stung by wasps! The girls were sniffing at something super interesting in the grass which turned out to be a wasp nest and before I realized it, Nikita and I were stung! I don't think Lucy was because she was cool as a cucumber, but Nikita and I both had a pretty good jump start. We continued our run with Nikita and I comparing stings and had a great, but hot, rest of our run. I should mention, as dramatic as it sounds, the wasps weren't that bad! But Nikita definitely was itching and licking at her leg where she was stung during our first few shade stops. The rest of the run was great! By the end, they wanted to go back into the park but luckily we were out of time! Next time girls! Other highlights include lots of shady breaks to cool down and get pets, and gopher hunting in wasp-free parks. It was a great run, as always! Thanks girls! No poops, 2 pees for Nikita, and 4 pees Lucy.

This delightful duo always makes a gal feel welcome!😊 I missed these two little poopers on Monday and I think the feeling was mutual.... or was it the snacks!?!😁 In any case, Lucy and Nikita were entertaining as usual and we jammed in a lot of laughs in the short time we had together. Thanks for just being you ladies! 3 pees each. CHEERS!
