DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 9.5 km DURATION: 2 hours 18 minutes Well ladies, it officially here…. Today is our last run. It’s a little sad but let’s make this the best last adventure ever! The gals already had decided on what they wanted to do today and I had no say in the matter whatsoever! Truly, I didn’t! My friends wanted to go to the river today and apparently we were going on foot. Okay, but just remember what goes down has to come back up. So we headed down that long and arduous hill heading straight for the water and if my friends had it their way I’m quite certain we’d still be there. After a good chunk of time, Mona decided it was time to move along. I’m going to miss all my friends I’ve made over the years. You all have a special place in my heart and if you ever see me out and about don’t hesitate to stop and say hello as I will always have treats in my pocket. Thanks for an epic adventure today ladies! 2 poops for Reilly; 1 poop for Mona and many pees each. Cheers and peace out. Runner: Tracy

DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.4 km DURATION: 1 hour 57 minutes I was not aware that is was National Doggy Day until I was informed by my two gal pals!( the radio told me) So according to Mona and Reilly, it was their choice today. You can’t really argue with that logic can you? After all it is their day! So we headed out running and this lasted for a half a block….then my friends chose to slow things down to sniffing speed. Which lead us down a couple of back alleys; not the prettiest route but the ladies seemed to enjoy themselves. We then hit the swimming hole and finished things off with a short trail. Thanks for a really good time today ladies! 1 poop and many pees each. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 9.2 km DURATION: 2 hours MONA! Today, your usual partner in crime is away but I brought you your other accomplice, Gracie! The three of us headed to our usual spot to see what kind of trouble we could stir up. Not much as the gals were more interested in water sports and snacking than anything else. Fine by me… all aboard “The FUN Train!” Which is a little ironic seeing how Miss Mona doesn’t fancy those big metal beasts and there were many on today’s route. All good as she had her friends to support her. Thanks for a terrific time today Mona! Gracie, thank you too! 2 poops and a plethora of pees today. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 8 minutes Good morning little Kiddos! What a beautiful, cool morning! Could summer be almost over? Oh no! The pooches was very exited today. Leia was jumping on me like crazy and then those words came out of my mouth, “Leia, could you please be a bit more like Conor?" Oh oh, even mommy noticed. Ulysses, Miss Leia, your big brother behaves like a star! He is calm, polite and a real gentleman! Leia was happy and excitable! However, the walk was great and we can see a bit of colours changing on the trees. Where has summer gone? But since kiddos love the change of seasons! The Scoop: Conor had a poop and a pee. Leia had a poop and a pee as well. Runner: Fab DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 52 minutes It was another story book corner for Mona and Reilly on this fine Thursday morning. The gals hadn’t seen each other in a while and had to catch up on all the latest news and gossip in the hood’. After they were satisfied, we all headed over to the local swimming hole for a refreshing cool-down. Next on the agenda was a short trail and a little more reading (sniffing). We then happily trotted on home. Thanks for a great time today ladies! 3 poops for Reilly; none for Mona and many pees each. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 4.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 4 minutes It has been while since I have had the pleasure of running Mona so I seized the opportunity while regular DGR Runner Tracy is sailing. Mona is used to having friend dog Reilly on her runs so today, I brought a friend of the human variety named Newton along with me. Newton is a prospective DGR runner so Mona was good at showing him the ropes. I also got to meet handsome Romeo who was visiting and showed me a hi-five for a treat. Due to the heat, we stuck around the hood. It was a casual jaunt and we got to see some mini dogs. First, we saw two kids who were carrying their mini dog stuffies. Next, we saw a Chihuahua who was pretty mini but was keeping up with his/her owner on rollerblades. Mona was not bothered by any of the dogs and did not pull when we saw a squirrel. She was slow and steady in the heat, I think she was pretty excited to get home to quench her thirst as she headed straight to the watering can. As always, it was a pleasure to spend an hour with this sweet gal! The Scoop: 1 poop, several pees. Runners: Ruth and Newton DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 8.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 58 minutes According to Mona and Gracie, Stampede is not done yet! These two had the ZOOMIES the entire time we were out! It’s good to see friends have fun but the copious amounts of duck treats had them both hankering for a live one! Poor duck! I hope he/she doesn’t need too much therapy after that encounter with these crazy kids. I’m so glad they came back empty handed. Otherwise, I would have been the one in therapy. It was a nice day for my furry friends and with the cooler temps probably explains the extra pep in their step. Thanks for another unforgettable adventure Mona! We enjoyed ourselves as we always do. 1 poo and many pees. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.9 km DURATION: 1 hour 57 minutes It was another spicy day in the village with a side of smoke to boot… Criminy sakes! The gals and I (mostly the gals) thought it was best to head down into the valley and keep a close eye on the water levels today. Who am I to argue with a couple of intelligent ladies like Mona and Reilly? As we made our way around the park making sure everything was ok, the gals got sidetracked and the next thing I know we were on a back alley tour! These two sure like the strange and wonderful smells that permeate from the city bins! Once we got back on track, my friends needed on last dip before heading on back home after a hard day's work! Thanks for an amazing time today ladies! 3 poops for Reilly; 1 poo for Mona and several pees each. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 8.8 km DURATION: 1 hour 59 minutes WOO WOO! GOOD MORNING MONA! I know I’m yelling but this little pooper was full of beans today and it melted my heart when she got into my truck and was very happy about seeing her friend Gracie. 🥰 The three of us headed over yonder and decided to have our own Stampede Party down at Edworthy Park! The gals were absolutely intoxicated (no not like us humans at the Stampede) WITH JOY! As we made our way around the loop, Mona and Gracie had a blast! We stopped a few (yeah right) times at the water for a refreshing cool-down. We ran into quite a few folks who commented on how happy the gals were and why wouldn’t they be?!?! Thanks for making our day Mona! Gracie enjoyed her first Stampede party with you! 1 poo and several pees. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 8.2 km DURATION: 2 hours 7 minutes My friends and I had the best time today and they were sure pleased that it wasn’t a thousand degrees outside! Slight exaggeration I know but how would you feel if you couldn’t get rid of your excess fur (hair)?!?!? Anyways, Mona and Reilly knew exactly what they wanted to do today and I didn’t want to stand in their way. To the Party Pond (not the stinky one) we headed and my the gals couldn’t have been more delighted as they ran off and hit the water with a thundering splash! They were having such a good time that I had to eventually hook them back up and drag them away! I felt a little bad but if they had it their way we’d still be there…. After that we hit a short trail and then made our way back home. Thanks for the entertainment ladies! You always delivery! 2 poops for Reilly; 1 poo for Mona and many pees each. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 25 minutes We tried our best today! Mona Reilly and I took it one step at a time, there was no reason to overexert ourselves in this heat! The ladies and I dillydallied our way through the hood with snacks and water about every 10 minutes. They needed the water not the snacks to keep their energy up! Reilly seemed a little less affected by the temperature so I took some ice cubes and stuffed them in the back of Mona’s harness for a little extra protection against the sun. Needless to say, she was pleased. Although they did wonder why I was making them move! Thanks for hanging in there ladies! Pleasure as always! 2 poo and many pees each. Cheers and stay cool! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: DURATION: It was the Invasion Of The Body Snatchers! Who are you two and what have you done with the real Mona and Reilly?!?!!!! When the gals and I took off on our old lady walk around the hood( teehee) it was raining. My oh my, the delicious odours unleashed from the rinsing of the dry and dusty days gone by had my friends sniffers working overtime. This finally lead us to one of our (their) favourite party spots and they walked on by without blinking. What is happening?!?! It must be the rain. We continued on our merry way. Thanks for such a civilized adventure today ladies! 2 poops for Reilly; 1 poop for Mona and many pees each. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: DURATION: 1 hour 33 minutes "Please Tracy - can we have just a taste! This is what I think both Mona and Reilly were thinking when they couldn’t keep their eyes off the ducks at the pond. Haha! Poor ducks! As I fed the gals their relatives from my snack pack….. I think covid has made me a little cold-hearted. NO! There was a touch of guilt. Anyways. after that I got the gals to move along and we hit a short trail before nonchalantly heading on back to the abode. Thanks for a lovely time today ladies! Pleasure as always🥰 1 poo and many pees each. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE 3K DURATION: 1 hour 46 minutes Well, today was a day that I feel Mona, Reilly and myself would have just preferred to park are butts at a beach (river bank) somewhere and stayed. I felt like a walking zombie, Mona really didn’t want to go any farther than 2km…. Especially, after an encounter with a snake and a bee (no animals were harmed)! Reilly kept giving Mona encouragement to keep going but then lost her poop on a sign and we had to cross the street to avoid it! Haha - what a day! The kicker was when I ended Doggy Logs and it said that we had only done 3km. Despite everything I had a fabulous time with my friends and always look forward to our next adventure. THANK YOU LADIES!!! 2 poops for Reilly; 1 poo for Mona and many pees each. CHEERS! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 32 minutes As Mona and I were heading to Reilly’s house, the sky looked angry! The wind was blowing and there was lightning. My friend was a little concerned. Mona, Reilly and I headed out staying to the right of the storm and as luck would have it, it blew on past us! Mother Nature must have figured that we three gals needed to spend some much needed time together.🥰 My friends were all smiles today and so was I as we toured about. Thanks for being there today ladies! I needed one of our group sessions as I’m losing it again…. (no comment). 2 poops and many pees each. CHEERS! Runner: Tracy |
