It's the last edition of ’Thursdays with Marley’ for a while. Miss M. and I chatted our way through Griffith Woods and I was not going to rush my time with her. We have this game we like to play. Marley is off-leash having a sniff-about and I call ”Missy Moe Moe” (my pet name for her) and she comes barreling back with such a big grin. I then proceed to tell her how ’fast’ she is, with lots of praise. We do this over and over again. What I was not aware of today was a couple who were walking far enough behind us that I did not notice them. They could hear and see Marley & me playing our game. We gave them a good chuckle for the day. Dogs understand human talk much better than humans understand canine lingo. 😊 Going to miss you bunches Marley. See you in March😘. The Doggy Business Report: 5 pees & 1 poop.

As I am opening the garage door, one big fast black ‘Swoosh’ passed me by. As I fully opened the door I see this cute little fluff ball. See Photo #1. Marley, you have shrunk and changed colours.. Luckily, Marley’s Mom had given me the heads up to the new furry house guest. Back to ‘Black Lightening’ who is waiting in the Jeep! Hey Miss M, were you going to introduce me to your friend in the house? Marley’s Response - See Photo #2: ” Nope.....it’s Thursday Lunch Hour......IT’S MARLEY TIME!! Hey Michelle......my treats are down there.” Yep, I speak dog😂🐾. We had a magical trip to Griffith Woods. At one point, I said to Marley ’can you hear the birds?’ Poof - Marley was gone again in a flash and had ’flushed’ out a grouse! OMG, that was amazing. I think with all this excitement and praise, I stoked Marley’s ’Fowl Drive’. Marley had a blast scattering the ducks also. Needless to say, Marley was in fine form today. See you next week Sweet Pea. Hi Miss M, I have a surprise for you😉!! Marley goes to the Jeep and there was Henry. Double the fun for Marley today - and treats too!! Off we hit Griffith Woods and Marley’s ’Happy Flag’ was waving all the time. That means the little white tip on her tail was going full force and wagging with excitement. The more the merrier is Marley’s Motto. 🐾 We also did a different route with Marley today and I just love the look she gives when you change the direction. She is like ’What?!!’ Then run, run, run and the tail wags with excitement. A fantastic group walk, hey Missy Moe Moe? See you next week. The Doggy Business Report: 2 poops and 4 pees.
What a busy week Marley and I have had. ’This the Season!!❄️. We started off with some fun walks to Nosehill and surrounding areas. Plus, we increased our average distance. My family had a couple of social engagements that Marley sparkled brightly at. We had a fantastic Meet & Greet with DGR Fab and her visiting Marley. These two are going to be a great pair. Marley ’toy tested’ all my Doggy Christmas gifts. 🎁 Marley has Henry completely trained that every time she has a pee, she gets a treat. And sometimes, even for the reason ’just because’🤣.!! The kitchen was totally supervised by Marley, I was just the kitchen helper this week. Our evenings were complete with cuddles on the bed in the TV room. Thanks for being such a great help this week Marley. Big hugs💕 and miss you already!!

It’s Thursday Miss M!! One of the greatest days of the week😊. Today had a little twist. We headed into town, which greatly perked Marley’s interest. This was new. Then her tail started to wag, wag a little faster and then full throttle. Hip Hip Hurray - it’s a Nosehill Day (4 🐾’s UP). A doggie's ’Fun-Barometer’ is monitored by the speed of the tail wag. Marley’s little white tip on her tail was going full speed today. She was excited to go to Nosehill. After all that excitement, she fell asleep in the vehicle on the very short trip back to my house where our Pet-Sitting adventures will begin. The Doggy Business Report: just a couple of pees.

Happy Therapy Thursday Miss M. Our Thursday’s are so great that it's like going to another planet and being with Marley is so much fun. Kinda like a spa but with fresh outdoor air. Today I went to the front door and Marley gave me a quick ’Hi Ya’ and poof was in the Jeep. I was talking with her humans when a free-ranging poochie came up to the front door. Marley jumped out of the Jeep to make sure all was cool. This young Shepherd was only a year old and must have sensed that Marley & I were off to have some fun. He did not show much interest in going back with his humans.😊 I know Marley we were giving off FUN vibes🐾Thank you to your humans for the gift 🍷. The Doggy Business Report: 5 pees & 1 poop.
Welcome Back Miss M!! What an action packed week Marley & I had. First Marley had to entertain and play w/Felipé our AARCS foster pup. They played for hours on end. It was like a Big Marley & a baby Marley. Marley Moe Moe was a bit sad when Felipé left but no worries, much more action is on the horizon! Lots of walks to Nosehill and one special ‘All Girls Day’ where M & M just hung out. A very special admirer of Marley’s arrived yesterday. My girlfriend Celine came from Ontario. Celine always reads Marley’s blogs and loved to finally meet her in person. Marley got right into the Halloween spirit last night. About half way through, she decided just laying in her bed and a wee bark was enough participation 🤪. No worries sweetheart it is hard when everyone loves you. This morning we finished our last day together at a Griffith Woods and a few extra treats. I think you maybe sleeping & recuperating when Mom and Dad come home. It was one action packed week!

Hip Hip Hurray, it's Thursday!! Which means, it's a Marley Day. We have not seen each other for a couple of weeks so there was a pretty energetic greeting by both parties. Marley saw me at her front door and I could hear her squeal with delight. When I opened the garage door, I got a quick ’Hi’ and poof she was waiting in the Jeep. I have a surprise for you, Miss M. We are going to have today's walk to Nosehill. We started with a big hill which got our blood pumping and finished off playing with lots of doggies. Now for the second surprise...... Let's go to my house and start our pet sitting holiday🐾. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop & 5 pees.

Hello Missy Moe Moe! I received a wiggle-wiggle and a great smile from Marley. We drove to a new parking lot (for us) at Griffith Woods and added on some distance to our normal route. It was absolutely peaceful and amazing to feel tat we were out of the city, when we were not. The lack of both pathway and very slushy snow were totally ignored just because we were in our ‘Happy Place’. I think Marley will be tired tonight because there was some heavy work slugging through water/slush/ice/mud today💤. Plus, she fell asleep on the way back home😉 The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop & 5 pees.

Who is the cutie pie in the window with the wagging tail? Miss Marley was all smiles today and so excited to see me. She met me at the garage door with a quick ”Hi” and poof she was out the garage and waiting for me in the Jeep. I'm excited to see you to Missy Moe Moe! Off we headed to the park all ’blinged’ out. After some correspondence with Marley’s Mom it is time to bring out the Doggy Bear Bell.🐶 Miss Marley seemed to kinda like the dingle dingle sound. Another great outing, and see you in two weeks my dear. PS: Marley, you smelled very nice today. 😉The Doggy Business Report: just 5 pees.

What a brilliant adventure today's Thursday with Marley was🐾👍. I had a couple of special guests come with us. Henry (my husband) loves Miss Marley and was waiting in the Jeep PLUS my little nephew Linden. When Marley jumped in she snuggle right up to Linden. I tell you I was totally forgotten about because ’funnier’ people were around. Griffith Woods was our stomping grounds. We had great adventures of Marley tracking Henry and barking loudly when she found him. Good Girl!! Then it was time for tree jumping and with Spruce Meadows just finishing, I think Marley is a great candidate for next year. She was clearing with ease. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and 7 pees.

M & M are reunited! Same time, different day and still all the usual fun. Marley greeted me with some great friendly enthusiasm. It has been a few weeks since we have been together, so it was a must to jump in the Jeep and hit ’Our’ spot. Griffith Woods, here we come!! at the first water stop, Marley just got her toes wet. By the second watering hole, it was a run in, plop down and slurp up some cool water. To finish our adventure off, we walked with Tucker, a 10-year-old Lab rescue, that was in excellent shape but double the size of Marley. These two got on really well and said their goodbyes in the parking lot. See you next week my friend🐶🐾. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and 6 pees.

Miss Marley has been a special guest at our home for a week. I can tell she feels at home. She does not miss a beat, with the comings and goings of our house. She is now called the ’Foreman’ for our bedroom renovation. She lays on a drop sheet and oversees everything. We wait for her ’Paw of Approval’. 🐾Our early mornings start with a brisk walk over to Nose Hill Park and Marley LOVES this! All the great smells and different pathways, and let's not forget the off-leash freedom😉!! After dinner, we go for a stroll around the community where Marley has made some friends that she meets regularly. Lucky for us. we have this special girl for another week. The Doggy Business Report: all things are functioning well. 🐶

YaHoo - Miss Marley has her groove back! Marley you have some pretty big ’Pep-In-Your-Step Girl!’ 🐾 What a difference a week has made. I also think both Marley & I were making the most of our last walk day for Summer. Marley was out of the house with zip and poof in the Jeep and smiling big. She wanted to run in Griffith Woods, especially on this damp day. We sprinted a bit, jogged, walked, and smelled the flowers. A great time with Marley Girl. I will see you in about 1 month when you are coming to stay at my house. I will start counting the days😊. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and 6 pees.

The word is you're feeling sluggish Miss Marley. When Marley jumped into the Jeep she immediately laid down and started a little siesta on the way to Griffith Woods. The lazy days of summer have begun!!😎😂 However, Marley was not sleepy enough to snooze through a treat that was offered halfway. I see you in the rear view mirror checking out for more treats. I was not going to push my friend and I really followed her lead. That led us to the water of course!! As predicted, an immediate ’Plop - n - lie down’ was in order. I just entered with my feet and it was so nice and cool. We moved along the mulch pathway and ran into our friend ’Ella’ a 7-month-old Lab that is so full of beans. Marley’s like ’okay okay enough, I see you, but stop dancing on my toes.’ Ella is like ’Marley, HI Hi Hi, want to play? It's been a whole week since I saw you!! Puppies, hey Marley, they have so much to learn from you seniors🐶🐾. The Doggy Business Report: 8 pees only.
