Miss Marley B packed her bags for an extended visit this time. Her timing was perfect to spend time with so many of her DGR pals. She also wore her Momma Marley hat for a little while, with our AARCS foster pup. The first part of her visit was full of girlfriends. Our Aoife and the Doodle Sisters kept things entertaining, like a pyjama party all day long. If it was not backyard fun or frolicking in the park, they were all snoozing on the couch or at least very close to each other. Then, there was musical dog bed, with each one trying out what felt best. Then, her good friend Ennis came and these two love to hang out together. I think somewhere down their ancestry line, they must be related. Like clockwork when it is time for a visit at the off-leash, they get so excited to get out of the vehicle. Then after 10 minutes of excitement, they both settle into walking behind me side-by-side. Marley will stop and check something out and her pal Ennis tries to tell me we can not go further until Marley gets back into the pack. Just like a big brother. I know that you are soaking up lots of love now that you are back home. It was a real pleasure having you for an extended stay Marley.

Hurray, Miss Marley is back for a Staycation!! As you can see from the photos, Miss M has a pretty large group of doggy friends that she likes to get together with when she stays at Aunty Michelle’s home. There was Ellie’s 1st birthday puppy party, a couple of Sunday Senior Strolls with Sophie and never to miss a Thursday rendezvous with Huxley. Aoife thinks Marley is her big sister and is alway happy to share the doggy beds and couch with her. Miss M also got to see Cassie, who I fostered a few years back. I hope to book you back soon into our Doggy Hotel.
Pet Sitter: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 50 minutes Brrrrr, it is chilly out today. There are days I wish I was a dog! Today was surely one of them! The Apple Dumpling Gang consisting of Huxley, Marley and Aoife, did not feel an ounce of that icy wind. This Gang was happy to be together and share their adventure. Just look at those happy faces.❤️🐾💕The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 1 poop and lots of pees. Marley had 1 poop and a few pees. Runner: Michelle Miss Marley is in the house!!! We all had been looking forward to the arrival of Marley to our home. She walked right in and of course went for the cookie jar. There are no flies on this gal. She may be in her senior years but she is as sharp as ever AND still the leader of the doggy pack. There was never a dull moment with doggy friends coming for sleepovers or a Nosehill walk with her favourite pal, Huxley. Marley would be the first at the door excited to get out. We all had to laugh as Marley put on an evening musical performance for everyone while she commandeered all the squeaky toys and showed Aoife, Ellie and Sophie how to really ‘squeak’. Marley was very delighted in her newest friend and kindred soul. DGR Sophie. Closer in age and an instant friendship was developed. Do not wait too long to come back Miss M, we miss you already.
Pet Sitter: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 27 minutes Yahoo! Let's kick off the weekend early. Huxley pack your toothbrush. After your adventure today with the girls in Nosehill, you are coming for the weekend. Dogs like humans love the warmer weather and today Huxley, Marley B. and Aoife had extra spring in their step. The smiles were big, the roaming mode was on overdrive, and the fun factor was off the chart. This pack is longtime friends and just loves hanging out together. Let the weekend begin! The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 2 poops and many pees. Marley B. had 1 poop and a few pees. Runner: Michelle Miss Marley, we are all so happy that you re here for the weekend! Aoife stared out the window for about 2 hours waiting for her ‘sister-friend’ when she heard she was coming. This was one Dynamic Doggy Weekend. Marley had the pleasure of time with DGR Doodle Sisters, Sophie & Ellie. Both Marley and Sophie are in their mature years and they both partook in the changing of the guard when it came to the memory foam XL dog bed. I have a feeling that the next time these two are together, they will be sharing the bed. Saturday, was a party at Nosehill after we picked up Marley’s soulmate, DGR Ennis. Marley was pleased and happy to see her friend. These two like to walk together and sniff the exact spot at the same time. Sunday morning was a pretty lazy start and our mid-day walk was not on Marley’s agenda. She was really wanting to go back to the truck. Just when we were going to leave, Miss Marley ran over to a new doggy that she just had to meet. I must say she has very good taste. He was a handsome solid German Shepherd. You still got it girlfriend. Pet Sitter: Michelle Miss M came to stay for a couple days. She is just part of our household and family. Mornings always start by bumping Aoife off the couch so that Marley & me can have morning coffee cuddles. Marley is the ‘Big Sister’ at our house. Then, of course, she gives Henry the eyes so that the day starts off with some treats. Several pack walks with all her DGR friends. Including her soulmate DGR Ennis or the young Irish Sisters (Patti & Aoife), Marley keeps up and is still very young at heart. Play-time includes tug with the gator stuffed toy or even tossing the toy monkey around. Miss M has plenty of spunk. There is always time to snuggle between Henry and me when it is TV time. On this visit, Marley preferred Henry’s lap. Our time together always goes by too quickly. I know that you are soaking up all your families love at your house now.
Pet Sitter: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 21 minutes Is it Christmas or Halloween? The girls were ready for almost anything. Patti was slicked out in her dashing raincoat. Miss Marley chose au naturel and Aoife chose her Monkey sweater. Aoife is excited for Halloween and it worked out perfectly for her to try it today. The girls were all happy to take a walk around Baker Park under some stipulations! We MUST start and finish at the off-leash park. Miss Marley supervised the Irish Sisters and let it be known when they got too rambunctious. Patti & Aoife were extra spunky today. The Doggy Business Report: Patti had 1 poop and a few pees. Miss Marley had a poop and a few pees. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.9 km DURATION: 1 hour 32 minutes The Apple Dumpling Gang was back together for a Halloween Crawler. Huxley, Sully and I zipped over to Nosehill. We met Miss Marley and Aoife, who of course got their chauffeur (Henry) to drive them over. Yes, it was a crisp 1 degree and the girls preferred a warm ride to the party station. Huxley & Sully had a fabulous tussle with a big stick as we crept into Nosehill. A tad bit of a spooky grey morning today. Lots of fun on the trails. These dogs love any reason to get together and have a party. Time to dream of all those Halloween treats they are entitled to. Remember NO chocolate! It is not good for the stomach. The Doggy Business Report: all the dogs had many pees. Huxley had 2 poops, Sully had 1 and Miss M had 1 poop too. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 27 minutes The gang is back together again. We had sunshine steps at Nosehill with Patti Cakes, Silly Sully, Momma Marley and Aoife. This pack is starting to get a ‘following’ on the hill. One of the regulars we meet on our walks was so pleased with our pack's magic. One of her dogs can be nervous. When he saw our pack, his tail started to wag and he had the best-relaxed energy. All the pup's tails wagged. I am one very happy dog owner and one very proud DGR dog runner with my All-Stars with paws.🐾 I learnt after taking Patti home that she is not eating that much, which explained her lower energy. I hope you devour your lunch this afternoon sweetheart. The Doggy Business Report: Patti had 2 poops, Sully had 1 poop. Marley had a few pees as did the other pups. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 49 minutes The ‘Happy Gang’ was out & about again today. This pack consisted of 8 happy faces. 3 humans and 5 canines. Sully, Huxley and I ran over and met Henry, Noah (our nephew visiting from the UK) Ennis, Marley B., and Aoife at the Tuscany off-leash area. The happy faces when everyone united were electric. We had two mountain bikers call us the ‘Happy Gang’. When these canine friends get together they make sure fun is that be had🐾. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 1 poop and many pees. Sully had 1 poop and many pees. Ennis had 1 poop and several pees. Marley B. had a few pees Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5K DURATION: 1 hour 11 minutes Today’s special guest to join the Irish Sisters is........Miss Marley. Our family calls Marley, ‘Aoife’s big sister.’ There is a strong sisterhood in today's walk. We had a later start because to our surprise the John Laurier entrance was closed. No worries girls, we are determined to have an ‘all off-leash’ day. Success on all accounts. Miss Marley and Miss Patti are now sisters too. They got on smashingly. The Doggy Business: Marley had 1 poop and a couple of pees. Patti Cakes had 1 poop and 3 pees. Runner: Michelle ,Our other doggy daughter came for a little visit, Miss Marley. There was excitement from the get-go. We all (including Henry and Aoife) piled into the Jeep and headed to Nosehill with DGR Patti too. Marley loved being in the doggy girls' pack. It was rather cute when Aoife and Patti started to wrestle and chase each other, Momma Marley had to referee. She would bark at them and try to get in the middle of them. As you can see from the photo, Marley was teaching Patti that Henry is an easy touch when it comes to treats. After such an exciting time at Nosehill, it was time to have a snooze on the couch. Then it was time to do a beat-down on the stuffed dog toy called ‘Big Daddy Gator’. Look at the love and destruction Marley has in her eyes. We love Miss M.
Pet Sitter: Michelle Miss Momma Marley is back ‘In the House’ with us!! We love having Marley come and stay with us. She is very comfortable and she and Aoife get on great. Marley walks in the front door, gets a treat (or two) and then ’takes court’. She love the postrampedic dog bed we have in the front room and she can survey all the comings and goings on this oversized bed. It would take about four of her to fill the bed. On that note, only Marley gets that bed. The "Queen of the House gets the King-sized dog bed. When Marley needed some peace and quiet from all the ‘young rowdy ones’, you would find her hanging out in Aoife’s crate in the office. I completely understand. Sometimes I would go to the office, and spend time with Marley for some peace and quiet too. Lots of social interaction this visit. I know that your home will be much quieter so you can catch up on some senior's snoozing. Xo Xo!
Pet Sitter Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5K DURATION: 1 hour 32 minutes Happy Happy Pups🤣. The old gang (Huxley, Miss Marley and Sully) are reunited and they let a newer friend, Mikki, join in on today's adventure. On our way to the off-leash area, we needed to walk to the on-leash area. This pack took the whole width of the sidewalk. Miss Marley and my Mikka had Henry as their leash master. I took Huxley, Sully and Aoife. There was some fancy footwork on the human side. The dogs HAD TO walk side-by-side.🤣 Keeping the humans agile and on our toes.🐾The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 2 poops and many pees. Sully had 2 poop and many pees. Marley had 2 poops and 3 pees. Mikki had a couple pees. Runner: Michelle |
