Oh my goodness, what an action-packed staycation Marley had with us these past few days! Marley is just part of our family. Henry & I are thinking about asking if we can 'Time-Share Marley' 🤣 Marley started her staycation with us on Wednesday evening. The next morning the jam packed schedule commenced. We had Huxley's Birthday party on Thursday which was a hoot for these two Besties. Friday was full on helping Henry organize the garage. That alone was an overwhelming task. Saturday was working in the office with Michelle. Whenever Marley thought I should stop working, she went to the top of the stairs and howled at me to 'Get out of the Office.' This gal is always taking care of me. It was a big day on Sunday with Father's Day celebrations and playdate with Little Miss Lola. Finally Monday rolled around and we tried to beat the heat in a new off-leash area for Marley. I think this gal will sleep for a week when she gets home. Love You Marley See you on Thursday.🐾

Happy Daddy Day from Lola to her human Dad. 🐾 Lola whispered that in my ear today on our walk. She wanted to make sure I did not forget to mention in our blog. It was such an exciting adventure for Little Miss Lola today. Momma Marley is staying at my house and came along to see Lola. These two hit it off great last time. Then close to home, at the green space, we all met Oliver and his family. Oliver is a 10-month old American Cocker Spaniel. I see a budding friendship in the near future between these two. Little Lola is a tad smaller but was wanting to keep up with the ’Big Dogs’. Lola took some time out to give me plenty of kisses. Oh, how this gal melts my heart ❤️. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and 2 pees.

🎵Happy Birthday Huxley🎶. Today was Huxley's Birthday Party with Marley. Wow, I can not believe you are 4 already!! I remember when you were just a little monkey. Marley wanted to surprise Huxley today. Usually I pick Hux up first and then Marley. Today, Marley was waiting for him in the Jeep. The Party was held at Baker Park. As soon as these two hit the water Marley barked "Happy Birthday" to Huxley and chased him in and out of the water. The game of choice for the party was 'Tug o' war with a stick'. Both Marley & Huxley are competitive at this one.😜 Lots of swimming, running around the park, and just a great birthday. Huxley had a touch of the 'runs' today so the cookies were kept to a minimum. Maybe more would have help things!! 🤣 Tons of fun and laughs to be held today. Then, they both fell asleep in the Jeep on the way home. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 5 runny poops & 1 good one. Lots of pees.

Howdy Hux Pup, let's go for a zip around your neighbourhood before picking up your BFF Marley. Huxley always greets me with a shoe in his mouth. Oscar, the kitty cat, sits among the sneakers because he knows it is Huxley’s running time. Quick cardio completed - let's go and have real ’Doggy Fun.’ Huxley gets so excited in anticipation of seeing Marley. He has taken to jumping into her seat!! We reached Marley’s house and I was wondering how Marley would feel about this new seating arrangement. In true BFF fashion, all was great. Today was a first because Marley got Hux to chase her while she was on land and he was in the water! These two just crack me up! They are such good friends. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 2 healthy poops and lots of pees. Marley had 1 healthy poop and tried really hard to compete with Huxley’s number of pees.

It was a perfect day for friends, family, a picnic, swimming, and a bike ride. The Jeep was ’a full house’. First up, Huxley. Since today was a bit warm I thought Huxley would prefer more Marley and swimming time than our usual 30-minute run and then a walk. Huxley jumped in and said ”Hi” to Henry and Linden (my 5-year-old Grand Nephew). Huxley was whining and providing happy yelps until Marley got in the Jeep. Huxley loves his Marley time. Once the Jeep had all passengers, it was off to Griffith Woods. Everyone jumped out🐾. Henry & Linden had a picnic and bicycle time. Marley, Huxley, and I headed out for our walk and swim time. I swear M & H are part fish🤣. We had a much longer walk and achieved a reasonable 6K. These two friends packed in a lot more exercise with swimming and running in and out of the forest. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 1 poop and lots of pees. Marley had 1 poop and 5 pees.

Good Morning Sleepyhead. I have a feeling that Marley was hoping for a rest day, after playing so hard with Huxley yesterday. Come on sunshine, you will feel much better after some exercise🐾. When Marley jumped into the Jeep she was like 'What No Friends or Puppies?? I want to go back to bed!!' Have a couple of treats - Miss M. and let's go somewhere new today. We drove over to Elbow Valley and walked along the ridge. Marley made her feelings on having to move so early (9:15 AM) well known. Then all of a sudden, she saw that green space and 'freedom' ridge and she was a 'Spunky Monkey'. Miss M. I think you were just playing with my head. We did a very respectable 4.15 km this morning. I bet she will be sleeping soon.😍 The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and 3 pees.

Huxley's total: 8.54 kms. 1:43 for time.
Huxley came out speeding for his run portion today. I could tell he was excited to see me. Then after our run, off we headed to get his BFF, Marley. Then Hux Pup was really excited. These two are so hilarious to watch 🤪. They checked out where the other one had explored, smelt and of course peed on the exact same spot. They both would have added an additional 1.5 k onto Runkeeper with all the swimming and in and out of the trees. These two are getting so comfortable with each other. When they are checking out a scent, they are crazy glued together. It is my pleasure spending time with these two happy bums. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 2.5 poops and many, many pees. Marley had 2 poops and 5 pees.

Lola did 1.2kms and Marley did the full 3kms. Momma Marley, I have a very special ’little guest’ for you to meet. Little Lola is joining us on this damp afternoon. Marley is so good with puppies. She gave Lola her time to sniff around and get used to the park. Then, Lola had some puppy moments and wanted to give Marley kisses all over. Marley was so great. When she had enough, she just strolled away. Lola really tried hard to keep up running after Momma M. A flock of geese flew by ’honking’. Lola did not like that sound and had a little whimper. Momma Marley came running back to Lola to say ”it's okay.” All was good again😘🐾. Back to play time. Marley’s Dad told me when they did Marley’s DNA test it came back as 1/8 Cocker Spaniel. No wonder these two got on so well. The Doggy Business Report: both poochies had 1 good poop each. Marley had 4 pees and Lola had 1.

Huxley knew we where going to pick up Marley. He got so excited, he jumped into her spot in the Jeep before we even got to Marley's house. Hux, you go to the back, while I go get your friend. Marley was so happy to see that Huxley had returned for our outing today. These two have by-passed the recess bell and it is now full on Summer Vacation. What do all 'kids' love doing at summer time......swimming!! In and out of the water was today's exercise. Marley usually will dip her toes or if really hot, lay down. Today, Huxley convinced her it was much more fun to splash, run, and shake all that water everywhere. Who says 'Summer is not upon us.' We invite anyone feeling the winter blues to join us on Thursdays for summer fun. The Doggy Business Report: Both pooches had 2 poops. The pee department was competing pee spots, and there seemed to be a million.

Two runs today for Huxley. One with just Michelle and one with DGR Dog Marley B. (see Marley's blog). First stop, pick up Huxley and do a quick 4.5 km community run. Good Job Huxley, now jump into the Jeep because we are off to see one of your friends. Surprise Marley - look who is joining us today!! It's your Pet Sitting Roommate Huxley🐾. Oh my goodness, were these two happy to see each other. We arrived at Griffith Woods and they where like two school kids when the recess buzzer has rung. I love love love seeing when two doggies connect. Miss Marley was like a young pup all excited to show Huxley her park. Huxley was all over the place, smelling the new surroundings and jumping in and out of the water. I think it is pretty safe to say they added an additional 2 km to what Runkeeper calculated. At the turn-around point they started to slow down to the point of at least keeping somewhat close to me.😊 At the end of the trail there was some slower little bums bouncing back into the jeep. Thank you Huxley & Miss M for making my afternoon so much fun. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 2 poops and lots of pees. Miss Marley had 1 poop and 7 pees.

Hello, my Thursday Marley Girl. Wait a minute, it is Tuesday!! It’s my lucky week - I have two outings this week with Marley. Out the door to the Jeep. ’Come On Michelle. Stop talking to my Mom.’ Oops I forgot to put the doggy treats in the cupholder where Marley can help herself. My bad! Rumour has it you were training every day on your vacation. I missed you while you were gone, I just hope I can keep up with you🤣. Griffith Woods was our destination today. There was still lots of snow but at least it was not snowing! Miss M was not in the mood to run all over the place and smell. She kept pretty close to me while we walked. I would like to think she was missing me too. She had a couple fast bursts and spurts of speed and I cheered her on. She likes to show me she still has the moves. You still got it, girlfriend. The Doggy Business Report: 5 pees, 1 big poop, and 1 little poop.

Henry & I drove into Marley’s driveway and I noticed her having a nap in the window. I think she was waiting for us😊. I got out and gave a wave to Miss M. One eye opened and then the other and then like lightning Marley was at the garage door wagging her tail and raring to go. As per usual, treats where give in the Jeep. As you can see in the second photo on my finger, Marley was drooling. We entered Griffith Woods from the far entrance where we found a crate labelled to provide a lost dog with safety and security. Marley & I kept all eyes open for this little soul. Our route today was following the tree-lined path. Less mud and muck🐾. We did get caught in the rain, but we were happy it was not snowing🤣. The Doggy Business Report: 6 quick pees & 1 small poop.

Today was a bit different for Momma Marley🐾. We picked her up, she jumped into the Jeep, Henry was with us, go to the park and.....WAIT just a minute. How come Michelle is not walking with us!?! Full stop, brakes went on. ”Henry - go back and get Michelle!!” Oh, you have treats. I need more cookies to forget about the pack not being together. A great first ’solo’ outing for these two. Plus, one very bummed Michelle waiting in the parking lot. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and several pees. The blog is written by Henry’s Ghost Writer.
Miss M, come back!!! Okay, it's only been 10 minutes but we miss you. Thank goodness, we have a Thursday date. Marley Moe Moe has a new name after this week's pet sitting. Huxley’s pet sitting time overlapped with Marley & these two got on fantastically. The reason for ’Momma Marley’ is Marley would have to herd Huxley if he got too far away plus Marley would do a dead stop until ALL the pack was together. What a ’Momma!’ Marley missed Huxley and decided his bed was more comfortable and Momma Marley was now the owner of a stuffed baby bear! Marley, you are so much a part of our family!

Hip-Hip-Hurray, it's Marley & Michelle’s Day!! We both were so excited to get together and get our groove back. I have certainly missed you, Miss M!! Everyone can guess where we headed.......Griffith Woods, of course.🐾🐾. I think we both had permanent grins of happiness on our face. I'm so happy to be resuming the ’Marley on Thursdays Adventures’. The Doggy Business Report: 2 poops, several pees and multiple snow cones. PS. Marley - Henry has already filled the treat jar for Sunday!
