Our week started off with a loving little package! Little Lola arrived early Sunday morning for a visit with her suitcase all packed. Sunday at our house was a Doggy Play Day for sure. Sully, Kenny, Marley, Lola and Aoife all had a time romping in the backyard and time at our off-leash park. Sunday evening was just the girls, and these 3 do smashingly together. Nothing like ‘Girl Power’. Lola and Aoife played together and Momma Marley was the referee. Teaching ‘proper’ play and also partaking in on a few of the puppy antics. Lola is such a little love bug. The recipe for feeling loved is having Lola come for a visit. She just wants to give you so much of her affection. We would have cuddle time on the couch, and this little girl is a real snuggler. I am going through puppy cuddle withdrawals, since Aoife is now the size of a full grown Lab at only 4 months. Lola obliged me, without a blink of an eye, to accept cuddles. Lola would squirm when she had enough of this ‘baby business.’ Lola is a spunky little monkey and needs to see what is going on in all parts of the house. Tuesday, Lola had a chance to be reunited with DGR Huxley. Lola loved Huxley the first time she had an outing with him. Let’s just say, she remembered him. Nosehill was a great success, and at the hour mark Lola just laid down on the trail, time to go home, she was all tuckered out. Give the pups an hour or two nap and viola, it is time to play, We also watched the happenings of the neighbourhood outside the window and played some more. I got a couple of pics of Lola and Aoife, in all aspects of their time together. We miss you already Little L..

Little Lola, we have been waiting for your arrival. Aoife (our pup) is excited to have someone closer to her age. Lola had an action packed 6 full days. She prepped Aoife on what the first day of puppy school was going to be like and how to behave. Lola was great for this because she just graduated from the same school a few months back. Lola had a Baker Park River walk on Thursday with Momma Marley. Just look at how happy these two gals get on. The time at our house was also filled with lots and lots of play. Lola maybe substantially smaller in size but is MUCH faster and agile. Lola would walk under Aoife’s stomach and get her to go in circles. Both gals shared their chew sticks and even shared one bed when they ate them. I understand this was a big plus for Lola. Little L demonstrated how to get up on the couch and was very patient when our pup just could not get the hang of it at first. Lola did it with much more grace than leggy Aoife. Sunday was our last day together and Lola went with me for a family visit. Needless to say, we caused a traffic jam at the elevator because everyone wanted to pet Lola. We all miss you already.

Momma Marley😊, that greeting is a little hint of what is in store for today's walk. Hux Pup is on holidays with his humans, but don't be disappointed. DGR Little Lola is waiting in the Jeep. She is a few months older and ready to play🐾. This is a perfect day for even more change!! Off to Baker Park for a fun river walk. These two poochies do so well together. Sort of like Big Sister and Baby Sis. The way they look at each other just melts my heart. You two have a sleepover booked at my house later in September. A great ”Girl Friends” Day. The Scoop: 3 pees, 1 poo.
DISTANCE: 2.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 5 minutes
Lola, you give the best ’Hello’s’. We are all set for our full hour outing today. The water bottle is totally full and we have some treats. The puppy play started only two blocks from home where we met up with Lola’s Jack Russell friend. He was at the end of his walk and pretty tired. No problem, Dad gave us the okay to check out your community off-leash doggy park. Lola had so much fun chasing a mini Bulldog. The perfect pairing in size. We spent the rest of the time in the park where Lola sprawled out and chilled after all that fun. Time for home sweet pea. Great to get some Sunday Lola love.

Wakey Wakey Little L. Oh, ”Hi” Michelle, I'm very happy to see you! Come sit on the couch and cuddle me! Okay, you will never hear me complain about cuddles. Lola did brilliantly with her Gulpy cup. She was extra affectionate during our whole walk. The Scoop: 2 pees, 1 poo.

Lola, you are a much ‘Spunkier Monkey’ today!🐾 No more cone, must be contributing to this energetic you. Good Job Lola. Rumour has it, that your community has a brilliant fenced-in off-leash park for the canine residence. Let's see if we can find it for next time. We are still being conscious of your stitches. We found it and as it turned out it was very close. We chatted with George & Kona’s (Bernese Mountain Dogs) dad, while Lola and I sat on the bench. That mission was accomplished quickly, let's see who else is out and about. Little Miss Lola is a social bunny plus she is a magnet for conversation. Today Lola caught the eye of AnnaBella, a little neighbour. The gals had a great chat and cuddle session with Lola on the front lawn. Nothing like ’Girl Time’. I am glad you are on the mend Little Miss L. We will check out the doggy park for sure next time. The Doggy Business Report: 2 pees.

Hello Lola! I get the pleasure of seeing you twice today. I was a few minutes late to her house as I found a dog who had strayed (a Bichon Frise named Macy) and returned her to her owner who told me she was an escape artist. Okay, good deed done so off to Lola's. With our second outing, Lola wanted to lead the way so she grabbed the leash and we went a different route. The temps had risen so we tried to stick to the shady side of the street and take some breaks to lie in the grass. On our return, we went down a street where I have 3 friends but no one was home just their statues (see photo). I guess it is just you and me, Miss Lola! The Scoop: 1 poo and 3 pees. Thanks for double the happiness today!

Well Miss Lola, you sure are growing into a fine dog! We lives less than 1K from each other so although I drove to your place, I decided to head to my house for a mid-walk hydration and some snuggles from my son and his buddy. It was definitely a win-win situation as you are a social gal. There also was a cat in your neighbourhood who was interested in meeting you but we stayed clear. You were really good with your sit and heel commands. I also love how happy you are to be outside on this fine sunny Sunday. The photo of you by my purple flowers made my day. The Scoop: 2 pees ( 1 upon seeing me) and 1 at the park and no poos.

Hi ’Little Bum Bums’ (aka Lola). Oh, my little girl, did I wake you up?? Lola was a bit sleepy and really would have preferred that I just cuddle her. Of course, I obliged😘. This is not our normal time, plus it's a weekend, extra extra cuddles are a must. Lola perked up when she saw her 10-month old friend Oliver, the American Cocker Spaniel. Both Oliver’s dad and I tried to get these two ’young ones’ to sit still for a photo. No way, it's playtime. On our way home we met a neighbour, Ann, who is another one of Lola’s fans. A stop for greetings, cuddles and play was a must. Needless to say, today was all about affection and attention.🐾 The Doggy Business Report: just a little tinkle of excitement to see Ann.

Little L, I am back and with a new guest for you who is more your size. Today Snowy, who is staying with me, joined Lola & me for her pee break. Lola was so excited to meet Snowy. Snowy is a gentle soul and Lola was enamoured instantly, We had about 10 minutes of tag on the front lawn and then it was time to get this party moving. The heat of the day was zapping the energy of my two furry friends rapidly. Back home to the cool grass. Lola was not willing to share the Gulpy Dog Bottle. Or more to the point, she would share if Snowy did not mind her standing in it. 🤣 Little L, laid the girl charm on today. Once back in her house, she plopped under the table all spread out. It takes a lot of energy being so charismatic, sweetheart. The Doggy Business Report: 1 & 1.

Happy Sunday Little L. I have a BIG surprise for you. On today's outing, I brought along my weekend house guest, DGR Dog Huxley. To say there is a size difference is an understatement! I knew these two would get on famously. Huxley is such a gentle soul and Little Lola is such a sweet pea, I wanted them to have some space to play. Lola became the Master of the Leashes and tried very hard to carry hers & his in her mouth. I know you are becoming a big girl, but that's a bit over the top😊. We got to the green space where they stayed connected but were able to sniff. Huxley rolled and Lola played with him. I think Hux knew he had to come down to her level. A sweet pair to spend an hour with. The Doggy Business Report: Lola had a pee.

Oh my what a difference in size!! Before getting to Little Lola's, I had just finished Kona's outing. Kona is a Great Dane also part of DGR's running family. Well, I had to adjust my leash for sure! 😁 Little Lola must be one of the smallest in the DGR running family. It was a great way to spend a small portion of my Canada Day. Lola and I were out for about 10 minutes when the wind came up. In one of the photos, you can see how it made one of her ears fly up. It was strong. I said to Lola, " Let's go home". She took off like a rocket and ran all the way back home. Mighty things come in little packages🐾. The Doggy Business Report: 1 & 1.

Happy Wednesday Little L.. Oh my, you are getting so daring. On Sunday I took a photo of her up on the couch with her front legs up on the back. Today. this little monkey jumped right up and was perched on the back rim of the couch with my drying-off mitt hanging out of her mouth. Oh, they grow up so fast😂. We headed over to the park on 26th to have some green space fun. We needed a rest because it was hot! Lola’s little tongue was working over-time. We stuck to the shady side on the way home. I think Lola has our routine figured out because she pulled out her blue Kong when we got back. The past couple visits, I stuffed treats in it before I left. She worked hard so she wanted them NOW!🐾 The Doggy Business Report: 1 & 1.

Big Congratulations Little Lola for Graduating Puppy School. You are on your way to being a canine scholar! It was a tad wet today but Lola handled it really well. We ventured in a different direction because today was only a Pee-Break. She won the hearts of a couple of gals that did not mind a wet puppy. 🐾 One look at that happy little face and wiggly bum gets them every time. Lola seemed to really like the wipe-down and cuddles to dry her off. Haha, so did I😘. The Doggy Business Report: 1 pee.

Happy Daddy Day from Lola to her human Dad. 🐾 Lola whispered that in my ear today on our walk. She wanted to make sure I did not forget to mention in our blog. It was such an exciting adventure for Little Miss Lola today. Momma Marley is staying at my house and came along to see Lola. These two hit it off great last time. Then close to home, at the green space, we all met Oliver and his family. Oliver is a 10-month old American Cocker Spaniel. I see a budding friendship in the near future between these two. Little Lola is a tad smaller but was wanting to keep up with the ’Big Dogs’. Lola took some time out to give me plenty of kisses. Oh, how this gal melts my heart ❤️. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and 2 pees.
