DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.7 km DURATION: 1 hour Lincoln was a lovely boy today and could not have been better. He was slow but happy and it didn't take too much encouragement to not pee on everything he could. He was in heaven at the end of our run when he found some snow to roll in. So nice to see you again Lincoln! The Scoop: 2 pees, 1 poop. Runner: Jessica

DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 8.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute It was so nice to see Lincoln again today, he was the perfect running buddy. Lincoln was in full model pose for all our pictures and looked oh so handsome with all the Christmas decorations. He only had one stop to roll break and was eager to keep moving. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 1 poop, lots of pees. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute Lincoln was a super runner today and we had a great time. We looked for colourful backdrops to see what his best colour was (green, purple, or orange). I decided he's handsome enough to pull off any colour. Haha. For the last bit of the run, my eyes started to water (I think the smoke settled in a bit) so we slowed down. Lincoln didn't complain and he was pretty tired anyway (he had to lay down to drink, haha). He also found two spots for his happy grass-rolls and almost body slammed himself he was so excited. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 2 pee, 2 poops. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.9 km DURATION: 1 hour 4 minutes Lincoln was the perfect running partner this morning and was on his best behaviour. It didn't even take much convincing that he didn't need to pee on every block and we were able to keep a nice pace. He was getting a little warm so anytime he needed a good roll in the shaded grass we would take a moment to cool off. Great work Lincoln! It was so nice to see you again today. The Scoop: 1 pee, 1 poop. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes Lincoln gets a super A++ on his report card today! It was the best he's ever been on a run. He was put to the test when we got stuck on a bridge deck with a bike (and carrier) coming towards us and we had nowhere to get out of the way. He sat, full attention on me (with treats) and the biker went by only 3 feet away without him moving a muscle! Not too much further along, we had to pass another dog on a run and the same thing - he was fully focused on the cookie and didn't react at all. What a good boy! Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 1 pee, 1 poop. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes Lincoln was so excited to get running today he was doing a happy dance at the door. It was a little cold to start but we warmed up quickly and it was a great run. He was perfect running beside me and we hardly saw anyone outside. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 1 poop, 1 pee. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #1 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.5 km DURATION: 1 hour Lincoln had hawk eyes for yellow snow today and it was like a magnetic pull that he HAD to smell these spots. Haha! I did let him stop more than usual in case he needed to do his business but other than lots of pees, he seemed pretty normal. The wind was cold but it was a clear morning and a great start to the day! Thanks Lincoln. The Scoop: 1 poop, lots of pees. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE; 7.9 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes It was so nice to see Lincoln again today! The weather was absolutely perfect for a run. We were looking for the best Halloween decorations - Lincoln's favourite was the wheelbarrow of bones (he even woofed at it!). Mine was the pumpkin tower. He found the little bits of snow to do his happy roll. It was really great. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 2 poops, 1 pee. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #1 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.8 km DURATION: 1 hour Lincoln was an absolute gentleman today! He would run beside me at just the slightest touch of the leash and didn't try to pee 1000 times (we stopped enough to make him happy but nothing excessive). We even passed a school that was outside playing Frisbee and he didn't bat an eyelash (my dog would have gone crazy). There wasn't too many people out and about and the smoke in the air was pretty yucky by the time we were done (so glad we started early!). It was a great run. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 1 pee, 1 poo. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #1 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes I think it must be a full moon or something because Lincoln was full of beans. He was extra reactive to other dogs and some bikes, and some cats (although one was being walked on a leash so he maybe thought it was a little dog. Haha! I'm just going to think of it as an off day because he is usually much better - we all have those days! It was still nice to get out for a run even with change in temperament. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop; 1 poo, 1 pee. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #1 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes I'm so thankful that we ran early in the day! Lincoln was eager to get started and we zigzagged around road construction, other dogs, and shady spots. He would rest when he needed and loved rolling in the wet grass. Great start to the day. Thanks Lincoln. The Scoop: 1 poop. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #6 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes There was high humidity this morning so although the temperatures weren't quite as warm, it felt like we were running in something thick. The wildlife was feeling extra sassy and wanted to play chicken as we were running by a particular squirrel. One hare scared the snot out of Lincoln and me when he darted away from us at the last second. Lincoln definitely wanted his happy-roll breaks today. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 2 poops. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.4 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes We started a bit early hoping to beat the heat. Our first 10 minutes was great, but then the cloud cover dissipated and the temperature went up quickly. I thought Lincoln would like to go through a sprinkler and he thought I was crazy. About 10 minutes later, he was laying down and rolling in a different sprinkler mist (told ya so! Haha). There were much fewer pee breaks today although he really wanted to stop and roll in shady grass spots so we would take breaks there. It was shorter than our usual route but Lincoln set the pace and seemed happy. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 2 pees, 1 poo. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #7 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute Someone must have been teaching Lincoln to read because he took all 'stop' signs quite literally today! He didn't feel the need to sniff other signs, but for whatever reason stop signs were absolutely irresistible (which, given our area, made for a very slow start!). He was happy to roll in the shade when he could with his goofy smile and was really good passing other dogs (no spinnies). I think we set a record for marking the neighbourhood so hopefully Wednesday he'll be a bit speedier. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 1 pee, 1 poop. Runner: Jessica DGR RUN OF THE DAY #4 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.8 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute Lincoln was a good boy today! There were lots of dogs and people outside so we crisscrossed and zig-zagged through the community and had a peaceful run. There was lots of flowers and flags to look at. We took lots of pictures. We were having so much fun that we lost track of time so our last few kilometres home were extra speedy. Thanks Lincoln! The Scoop: 2 pees, 2 poos. Runner: Jessica |
