It was such a fun time with Linc today! He is so sweet and always so excited!!!! We wandered off to another subdivision and then came to a dead end so had a bit of a longer run but we both loved adventuring!!! We went on the trail for a bit, Linc enjoyed rolling in dry leaves and sniffing the wilderness.. The sun came out and it got nice and warm on our way back! The view of the city on our way back was spectacular and the clouds were beautiful! Amazing morning and I can't wait to go again! 1 poop and 4 pees.

Happy Monday Lincoln! What a beautiful start to the week. I tempted fate today and headed towards the Edworthy Hill. By that I mean this is a high frequency dog and bike traffic area... not exactly the best place for Lincoln! On our way down, a cyclist surprised us (no bell, no warning) and Lincoln had the reaction one would expect. But to be fair, I would have been jumpy too had something come whizzing by me! We made it to the bridge without further incident. I decided we would check out the west end of the Bow River pathway today, so we headed towards Shouldice Athletic Park and did a great little loop there. On our way back towards the bridge, Lincoln learned a valuable lesson. The Canada Geese are back, and they are not friendly! Lincoln got a little too close for one goose's liking and it let out a loud hiss! Linc backed off immediately; lesson learned I think! We ran (non-stop) back up Edworthy Hill and made our way home. It was a great start to the week! See you Friday buddy! Dog business: 1 poop, 4 pees.

Happy Friday Lincoln! A spring snowstorm blew in yesterday, so today will be a sloppy slog! But if I know one thing, it's how much Linc adores the snow! He practically prances through it! We had a great run today that was relatively uneventful. A few dog sightings here and there but nothing out of the ordinary. I gave in and let Lincoln have a few rolls in the snow, which meant that by the end of our hour together, Lincoln and I were sufficiently dirty and sufficiently happy! Oh ya, and Go Flames Go! See you Monday buddy! Dog business: 1 poop, 5 pees.

It was such a great outing today! I've missed Linc! He is such a sweet pup and full of energy! The weather was beautiful and Linc was so good today. He listened very well and we both stayed out of trouble!😂 He enjoyed sniffing grass along the way and watching the squirrels chase each other! Beautiful times outside and I can't wait to get out again! 1 poop, 4 pees.

Happy Monday Lincoln! Let's enjoy this beautiful morning with a run! I was informed Linc was all riled up this morning, so that usually means our run is a bit scattered. Today though, Linc and I had a beyond great run! We made our way down to 14th Street, where Lincoln seemed eager to try A&W's new Beyond Meat products... Spoiler Alert: it's DELICIOUS! Sadly, the lights weren't in our favour and we continued on. Linc and I made our way back through Sunalta, and when we passed by the school. It was recess time. A group of girls came squealing over at Lincoln (he's beyond handsome, who wouldn't!!) but we maintained focus and continued on our way. The second half of our run was essentially uphill, and Linc was definitely tired when we made it back! Have a beyond great week Lincoln. See you Friday for another beyond great run! Dog business: 1 poop, 3 pees.

Happy Friday Lincoln! We seem to be firmly into spring, and I couldn't be more excited! Less layers, no ice, no frosty eyelashes... what more could a girl want!? As for Lincoln, the things spring brings are so amazing. Soft grass to run on, clear sidewalks, long dead animals that smell irresistible once thawed, and so many dogs! Ah yes, the joys of spring! We had a great run today that didn't go as planned, many route changes because more dogs are out and about now that the weather is nicer. But that plays nicely into my New Year/New Routes Resolution that is still going strong! We still have yet to repeat a run, and are always finding new paths. Today, we came across a neat little structure titled "The Village." I wanted to read about it but then a dog came around the corner so we had to scram!! Loving the spring running with this guy, and I think he loves it too! See you Monday buddy! Dog business: 1 poop, 1 fake poop (yes, he pretended to poop), and 4 pees.

What a wacky Wednesday run with Lincoln today! It all started on my drive over to his house, when I saw a Lincoln doppelgänger and had to do a double take. Sprinting right out of the gate, the two of us meant business today, looking to cover some ground (nothing quite like DGR Runner Kathy though). While the temperature was 5 degrees, the breeze felt cool and my hands were even a bit chilled. After crossing Sarcee Trail and venturing along the Rotary pathways, we found ourselves at the back entrance to the Westhills Shopping Plaza. Navigating back to familiar territory, Linc spotted a chicken bone, and I was quick enough to snatch it from him before he got the full flavour. Lots of treats for this good boy today! The scoop: 1 poop and many pees.

Happy Monday Lincoln! Let's start the week off right with a good run. Unfortunately, Monday had other ideas. It's not to say Linc and I had a bad run; we clocked almost 11km, explored a new part of Patterson, and got a good work out in, but everything was just a little off. Lots of dogs out enjoying the spring weather made for one distracted dog, so there was lots of time spent correcting Linc's exuberant response. I think it's hilarious how it doesn't matter what kind of dog it is, big or small, whether it's in a car, yard, or house, Lincoln's effort to make friends is the same! And then he looks up at me with his big brown eyes as if to say "please may I go play with that dog!!??" Sorry buddy, not today, or ever!! We made it home for a roll in the grass. Anyone notice how Lincoln sports Spring camo?? Have a great week. See you Friday! Dog business: 1 poop and 4 pees.

Happy Friday Lincoln! I am mostly recovered from my cold, but my goal for us today is to take things a little slower than usual. Linc is just happy being outside, so the slower pace was no bother to him. It's our first official spring run together, and we saw lots of spring things: squirrels galore, puddles to dodge, and a canoe! They must be prepping it for the water... at least I hope so because it's not really an attractive lawn decoration! Linc and I successfully ran slow today, but from the looks of it, Linc got a little bored, so hopefully Monday I am ready to up the pace again! Have a great weekend. Dog business: 1 poop, 4 pees.

Lincoln, oh Lincoln, you were in a strange mood this morning. I don’t remember you being so interested in bikes. I can’t see jumping on a bike being satisfying, but today you tried your hardest to get on those bikes. I definitely had a good workout today. One of the things I love about Lincoln is his happiness to go whatever distance or speed you want. He is just pleased to be outside. Cats, bikes, dogs, and people weren’t in his good books today, but we made it work, running on quieter paths and streets checking out the light dusting of snow, which made Edworthy Park just a little bit icy. Overall, it was a great morning, and we both got some exercise. 1 poop, 18 pees.

Happy Monday Lincoln! Today's outing is brought to you by my spring cold. An overnight onslaught of grossness means no running for me, but we will get out for a nice walk in today's misty conditions. It gave Linc carte blanche to sniff and mark at his leisure. We strolled through Spruce Grove and onto the Douglas Fir Trail to check out the spring thaw; discovering it will still be a while before that route is ready for running! We made good tracks today, albeit at half pace of our usual. But fresh air does everybody and dog good! I am hoping to kick this cold and amp things up for our regular Friday outing! See you soon Linc! The Dog Business: 1 poop, 5 pees, and many more markings.

I miss Linc! He is such a sweet pup and has so much energy! What a beautiful day too! We kept a good speed and really enjoyed the sun! We did some climbs! At one point, an off-leash dog came behind us and was so quiet that we didn't notice but Linc was good and both of them were safe. Great time today! 1 poop, 4 pees.

My morning run with Lincoln was a stroke of luck! I happened to be about 10 blocks away from his house when I got the call that DGR Runner Jaime was under the weather and could not take Linc out. Have no fear Lincoln as I won't make you stay inside on a day as gorgeous as this one. A long time ago I had regular runs with this handsome boy so it was nice to be reunited. He sure can run though I did not give him a 10K like Spartan Racer and regular Lincoln Runner Kathy does. I think Lincoln was okay with this because he wanted to make several stops in snowbanks to cool down. I think we both are not acclimated to a day close to 20C. The run was uneventful and peaceful which was because we stuck to obscure streets where there were no dogs to get Lincoln all jazzed about. The Scoop: 1 poop and 2 pees. Lincoln, I am glad to see you still can roll-over for a treat!

Well, Mondays kinda suck. I found myself begrudgingly getting out of bed. But good ole' Lincoln reminded me that he has no concept of time, nor what day of the week it is! He just wants to run run run, no matter what day! So run we did. Lincoln's smiling dog face pushed me along and we had a great time running through the greenway. There were lots of other people, dogs, and bikes out to enjoy the same warmth & sun that we were enjoying. I think it was almost a little too warm for Lincoln. The only time he wanted to stop was to roll around in the snow. 1 poop, 10 pees.

This dog LOVES to run. I could not go fast enough for Lincoln; he would have gone on forever if he could have. It was my first time running around this neighbourhood & Lincoln was a great guide. He showed me around a bit. We got a bit turned around but we managed to get onto a scenic multi-use pathway. I know now a great route we can take next time! Lincoln is a dream on the leash; always making sure that I am keeping up and having a good time, and hoping for some extra treats too. 2 poops, 6 pees.
