What a strange day with a few runners forgetting their runs. I wonder if the rain scared people away? As a result, I was lucky enough to get to run Lincoln in the rain which meant no triggers to get him fired up like bikes and other dogs. We just cruised and weaved in and out of the hood without a care in the world. He really liked my liver snaps and worked hard for a few of these treats. Thanks handsome boy! The Scoop: 7 pees, 3 poops.

Happy Monday Lincoln. In an effort to stay as dry as possible, let's get a move on! Moving fast is never an issue for Linc, and we trotted along at a great clip. Linc and I had a great run. There is something about damp ground that is overwhelming for Linc. He sniffed it constantly and rolled in it every chance he got! The temperature was pretty perfect, and the rain was held off until about 2km from home. There was no downpour, just a constant drizzle; the kind you can't open your eyes in and is just hard enough to make things wet. We were a soggy duo back at Lincoln's house, but there's nothing a towel and a treat can't fix!! See you next time buddy! Dog Business: 2 poops, 3 pees.

Happy Friday Lincoln! After our last outing, I was not a happy camper. An ankle twist 1km in was not what I had in mind. But 10 days of rest and rehab have set me right, so let's do this! My plan was a slower and shorter run than usual, but I was surprised at how good I felt, so Linc and I went for our usual distance and pretty close to our usual pace. Lincoln was very well behaved, even ignoring the barks of a dog in a car as we waited for a light to change; good boy points earned!! He again resisted temptation when a cyclist hauling a stroller came up on us while we were at the next light. Bikes, strollers, child in the stroller, all usual triggers for Linc, but today he looked up at me as if to say, "nah, I'm good being a good boy today." We cruised home for a roll in the grass and some well earned treats. Have a good weekend Linc! Dog Business: 1 poop, 4 pees.

It's so refreshing to start my day with a sweet friend and a run!! There was no rain even though it was gloomy. This made for a perfect outing! Linc had a great amount of energy today. We saw some pretty grey and black squirrels on the way. He tried to chase them but no luck. We also saw some lonesome pups in the window. I think they were barking because they were jealous that we were outside having so much fun! Linc ran on the grass whenever possible as it was nice and cool! Great outing! 1 poop, 4 pees.

It was so great to see Linc today! I have missed this boy! We started with great energy and finished with good rhythm too! We stayed on sidewalks to avoid other pups as it was such a nice day! Linc sniffed grass along the way and had water breaks with me! We saw one giant bunny. There haven't been that many around lately so he was very interested. We had a great time and if we had more time this morning, I would have loved to keep going! Great times my friend! 0 poop, 5 pees.

Here is an archived photo of this handsome boy. Unfortunately, DGR Runner Kathy twisted her ankle after the first km of this run. Lincoln sends kisses for a swift recovery!

Happy Friday Lincoln! It's been a hot minute since I've seen you, and I was excited to get going this morning. Judging by the welcome you gave me at the door, you are just as eager!! It is so nice to have summer in full swing, but that means Linc and I need to have fun in the sun while in the shade. Sticking to the cover of trees and houses ensures Lincoln can manage in the summer heat. We wound our way around the community today, and had a grand time. Linc took a few breaks to cool down, which were welcome for me too, as I'm fighting a cold! We cut things a little short of our usual 10K, Linc was slowing down quite a bit, and we made our way to the A/C back at Lincoln's house. Stay cool this weekend buddy! See you next time! The Dog Business: 1 poop, 4 pees.

Today was ideal Lincoln running weather and we made the best of it. 11km was a little tiring as he kept laying down and rolling in shady grass for the last km, so we took our time and made sure he got a nice cool-down. The big excitement on this run were all the dogs! We must have passed 6-7, on leash and off, in cars, in yards, on sidewalks, you name it there was a dog on it or in it! This was a little much for Lincoln, but he was really good about listening on the leash and not pulling too hard. The wind started to pick up towards the end of the run which made it a little cool, but that was great for Lincoln. We ended our run with lots of pets and belly rubs on his front lawn. I hope he had a great time today! I know I did! 1 poop and 2 pees.

It was a warm day so we did an earlier run today with my buddy Linc! He apparently was in for a good surprise as I came in right after he woke up 😊. He was very excited to get out! There were lots of people out on the streets with Stampede on especially by the train station. Linc found and rolled in wet grass to cool off during our run! Many squirrels were out right on the sidewalks today! We did our best to stay in shady areas! He had some water from my bottle. When we got back, he gave my many kisses while I was wiping his paws!❤❤ I take it as a thank you! Such sweetie! 1 poop, 4 pees.

Today Lincoln and I got as close to Edworthy Park as we could without running into the off-leash areas. The change of scenery meant we were stopping much more frequently so that Lincoln could catch up on the neighbourhood's' gossip and leave some of his own! That's ok though, the humidity was pretty high during the first half of our run so a slower pace was just what we needed. Lincoln really wanted to go down into the park, but I had to be the adult and say that we were road runners today - no trails! Despite staying away from off-leash areas, there were tons of dogs out! Lincoln was great, and at most would just prance beside me. Another highlight was a Stampede breakfast that had a live band! We watched the festivities for a minute before moving on. Once we got close to home, we weaved around to avoid dogs and had a little cool-down walk outside his house. These runs just seem to fly by! Thanks for the great morning Lincoln! 1 poop and 6-8 pees.

It was such a great time this morning! Linc and I both had great energy and there was no rain so it was perfect! We enjoyed seeing all the people in country-style outfits heading to Stampede by the train station! Very exciting! Linc told me he would like a cowboy hat or at least a bandana! I will see what I can do! We saw a few dogs on the way. I wish people were more considerate with keeping dogs on leash in designated areas but I guess not everyone has the understanding that every dog is different. I'm glad that I have learned how to deal with another dog off-leash so that they don' approach! Linc really enjoyed sniffing wet grass and doing some uphills today! Great times! 2 poop, 4 pees.

Today, I got to see my pal Lincoln again! He was in the mood for some action and activity so we headed to 37th and ran down it as far as we could. All the hustle and bustle keep us entertained and before we knew it, we were at our turn-around. I think we went a little too far for Lincoln's comfort because right before we turned, he was starting to slow down and look back 😅. No worries boy! We headed back and seemed to meet all of Lincoln's triggers - bikes, dogs, and squirrels! Luckily, Lincoln is a working breed, so all I had to do was remind him that his job is to run with me and we passed by without an issue! One we got back, we slowed down and I gave Lincoln lots of time to roll around in the grass to cool off. It was a wonderful start to the day, and I hope he had a good run! Thanks Lincoln! 2 poops and 5-ish pees.

Today Lincoln and I got to actually run! Last time we ran it was so smokey we didn't cover too much distance, but today we had perfect weather and Lincoln was able to stretch his legs. He marked probably every tree we came across for the first few kms, then settled into a nice steady pace. Were it not for the steadily rising temperatures, he could have kept that pace for hours. We weaved around trying to stay in shade and avoiding the few other dogs that were out. He gets very alert when we pass other dogs but he's such a good boy that all he needs is a reminder that he's 'working' (aka running) and we can pass by with no problem. Even when we saw a cat, he was easy to redirect. We went a bit longer to get 10 km in, and by that point he was fairly regularly laying down and rolling in wet grass, so we turned towards home and had a few minutes to cool off in his front yard. He's such a handsome boy, and a total dream to run. Thanks for the great morning Lincoln! I hope you had a much fun as I did! 1 poop, 6 ish pees. We also saw an early dog gone runner! 😅

It was such a great run today! Even though it was sunny, it felt just right! There was plenty of water for Linc and I to have along the way! We had to really watch for cyclists as with this nice weather lots of people biking! Linc enjoyed rolling in tall grass and sniffing the flowers along the way! He is so cute, when thirsty as he looks at me and starts moving his tongue! Such a great communicator! What a great time today! 1 poop, 4 pees.

Lincoln, the sun is shining, hurry let’s get going before the rain. Amazingly enough, we didn’t see any rain. WOW! After this weekend, that was a blessing from above. There were, bikes, dogs, runners and everything else you could imagine out and about today. Everyone felt the same way! No rain, let’s party! Unfortunately for my friend Lincoln, I have been slightly under the weather, so that meant more walk breaks. We still got our 10 km adventure done; going through the wet lands of Douglas Fir Trail. It sure was muddy today. Some spots, were so slippery I had to use total arm strength to get up, because my sneaker became mud skis. It sure was fun though! It was a muddy wet adventure my friend. What else could a dog ask for?. 3 poop, 23 pees.
