![]() DISTANCE: 9.46 km DURATION: 1:11:25 Miss Kali, the weather gods read our email and it's lovely this morning🌞. Let's swing by and pick Leo up and have our Christmas run. There was no time to chit-chat or dilly dally. Oh my. Leo & Kali were in the zone today! I had to stay focused and even our greetings were on the run🐾. It was a fun run and I tried not to hold these two up for too long, at photo time or picking up after bathroom breaks. Kali got to meet Leo's little sister, Samantha today, and both did really well. Merry Christmas to the dynamic BFF duo of Kali & Leo. May you and your humans have a bright holiday season🎄. See you next year Kali. Leo and I still have a date next week. The Doggy Business: Kali had 1 poop and Leo had 6 pees. Ho Ho Ho! Runner: Michelle

![]() DISTANCE: 8.54 KM DURATION: 1:12:03 Hello Kali, guess who is joining us today? That's right it's your BFF....Leo. Kali gets into the vehicle and we are off to Leo's house. Leo was so excited to see us, he couldn't wait for Kali to jump out from the back of the Jeep. 🐾 We are off and ready to spend some energy. The weather was rather deceiving. It has warmed up but if you are facing into the wind, wow that was cold. ❄️Our route choice was head into the wind first and have the wind at our back coming home. We were out longer than anticipated but both Leo & Kali passed all the ears & paw checks and we got in some distance. Leo, I think is half polar bear. It's great that these two BFF's let me tag along. I received some lovely hand made Christmas Ornaments that I will put on my tree tonight. 🎄Thank you Georgina😊 Doggy Business: Kali 1 & 1 and Leo 4 pees only . Woo Hoo, this is the second week in a row the dynamic duo of Kali & Leo got to run together. Poor Asha has a sore hind leg which we all hope heals soon. Today Kali & Leo thought it was a play date not so much a run date. These two pups like to take their front paws and greet each other with a little thump on the other's head. Then they go low and want to wrestle a bit. Oh, hey is this running time? We will play and sniff again in 5 minutes unless Mother Nature has different plans. Good old Mother Nature was also out to play and entertain Leo & Kali with lots of squirrels and rabbits. Playtime stops when it's rabbit time. Then it is run run run. Leo had a little surprise for us, he now has a permanent little sister named Samantha. Welcome to the pack Samantha. The Business Report: Leo 1 poop & 3 pees, nothing to report for Kali. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 8.74 km DURATION: 1:02:21 There was a very special surprise for Kali & Leo today. We humans were talking and since both pups seem to be missing each other greatly, we decided to get these two friends together for a run. I picked up Kali and we ran to Leo's place and she started to whimper, I think she thought that she was only going to be able to see him through the fence. I go inside, get Leo who is very happy to see me and we come out and he does a quick second look and SURPRISE you two🎉. Let's run! Of course after a couple of minutes of play time. Kali & Leo hit their usual stride and pace. This is like magic for these two; they are totally at peace and have this beautiful energy that they create. They like to run close to each other, but one on each side of me, so sometimes my legs get in the way of literally being side by side😊 I guess 3 can be a crowd sometimes😂. The Doggy Business; Kali 1 pee and Leo 1 poop and 4 pees. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 8.25 km DURATION: 58:08 Guess Who? Ha ha, there is never any doubt when I have arrived to Leo's house. I think a good nickname for Leo would be Mr. Chatterbox. Leo loves to talk and vocalize what he wants. Today one of his humans asked, "What kind of a spell have I put on him?" This was happening while Leo very clearly was saying, "She is here to run ME!" 😊🐾 Let's go my chatty friend and burn off some morning excitement. We are still trying to keep our runs around the 8K mark and today Leo and I hit 5K in 30 minutes so we needed to slow it down but my chatterbox running mate did indicate he was not as thrilled with this lazy speed. Leo, my love, your personality is larger than life; Ithought the one photo of him captured that. Doggy Business: 5 pees and 1 poop. Runner: Michelle DISTANCE: 8.11 KM DURATION: 1:01:59
Leo my Tuesday running mate is all about movement. Keep moving, no reason for stopping, just run, that is what he likes. 😊So photo time is just silly nonsense to him, but you are so handsome and take great photos (when they are not blurry because of Mr. Action). I thought it would be a good idea to run to my house for multiple reasons. Lots of hills which keeps Leo's need for speed a bit tampered. Also I talk about him so much, my husband wanted to meet him and hopefully get some action shots. Plus the benefit of a new route. All went well but even having someone else trying to take action photos was a challenge. Leo just loves to move! I think I will store the camera on the up hill portion of our runs, then maybe we could get that glorious shot of Leo in motion. On the way home a squirrel surprises us from under the leaves and Leo took a lunge at him, and then gave a whimper. I hope you did not pull any muscles, have a rest my Action Hero. The Doggy Business: 1 poop and lots of pees. Runner: Michelle ![]() Hello Leo my ❤️. How are your doing today? All your muscles feeling better? It's spooky outside, I think we will call this our Halloween run. Leo dressed up like an athlete from the 70's. He obliged me by wearing reflector bands on his legs (it was really foggy today and safety first). These reflectors reminded me of the tall tube socks that years ago everyone wore up to their knees. All that was missing was a terrycloth headband😂. Think 'Welcome Back Carter'. Leo 'tricked' a squirrel up a tree. We both got scared of the 'Headless Horseman'. Leo did not like this blow up! But Georgina 'treated' us with tea & cookies and PUPPIES🐶‼️ Sam (Samsonite) is the darker pup and Sonnyanita (sorry spelling) is the beige pup. I wanted to take them home. A great ending to a foggy run. Thank you. The Doggy Business: 1 poop and 5 pees. Runner: Michelle Hello Kali girl, it is great to run with you again. I know Leo will be surprised and happy. Let's go get him. "Hi Leo", we were playing with your internal clock. Leo, you are so smart knowing the time. Well the pack is together so let's get some running in. It took us all a couple of kilometers to get back into our groove and show off the nice rhythm we can get into. At the 4K mark we got all the dance steps sorted out and Kali & Leo stayed stride for stride and side by side. I think I caught Leo whispering in Kali's ear😉. Kali & Leo run so well together, and sniff the same spot together. Anyone would think they grew up together. The Doggy Business Report: Kali 1 & 1 and Leo 1 poop and 4 pees. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 9.52 km DURATION: 1:07:43 Wow, hello Leo lovely to see you and get a warm welcome outside the door. Let me put my keys in your house and then we are off. 🐾We headed over to our doggy business loop and found a loose dog running up and down the hill. Leo handled this really well even when the dog walker finally caught up to her lost pup and had 3 other dogs walking with her. Business done let's run! Leo was the leader today he had extra energy to burn and he tried throughout the run to push (or should I say pull) me to go a little faster and then just a little bit faster. At around the 8.5 k mark Leo was okay running beside me and for a short time even behind me😉. A big applause and 'Good Boy' moment when we hit one of the crossing lights and Leo silently and patiently waited. 5 pees and 1 poop today. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 9.50 km DURATION: 1:12:39 Hello Leo, my love! I just love Tuesday mornings because I know there is a big welcome coming my way. Leo did not disappoint. I thought we would mix up a newer route we like with an oldie that I used to do years ago. What did fail in my memory, was the last 2 kms. all uphill going into the wind. The wind fairies were not on our side. Leo had to do double duty, not only did he have to get himself up the hill but he had to pull me too!! Leo you are a great running companion - your help was greatly appreciated. So we both arrived at the door with our tongues hanging out and rather tussled. Our return greetings were between huffs-n-puffs.Today's other excitement was Leo found a cooked chicken bone that he wanted as a snack, but he gave it up when I realized he had something in his mouth. You deserve a healthy good for you snack after that workout. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and 11 pees Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 9.13 km DURATION: 1:05:44 Leo the Lion, a little wet won't stop us from running today☔️. It is always great to see Leo and experience his energy; it is infectious. I could not believe how much water Leo's coat holds. We stopped at the crossing lights and he shook himself and he released so much water, he must have been carrying an extra 5 lbs. There now he is lighter and faster and we are ready to head home. I got to see and have a little chat with both Leo's humans and heard the fantastic news that Leo's family is getting some foster puppies. That is wonderful to hear and Leo I know you are going to be a super Foster Big Brother. The Doggy Business: 8 pees and 1 poop. Runner: Michelle DISTANCE: 8.42 km DURATION: 1:08:33
Hurray, it is Tuesday and Kali is joining Leo & I. Kali gets picked up first and she is so happy to see me. She knows this means running. We run at a quick pace (which Kali sets) over to pick up her partner in crime - Leo🐶. Good Morning Leo - we see you are full of beans today!!😉. Leo was all about showing off his athleticism. He grabbed his lead pulled Kali & I to move a little faster. Kali was 'Okay Leo no problem I'm fast too'. Then another trick Leo had to show off was running on my right side and all of a sudden he decided to go behind us and jump over Kali's lead on the left side. Except he only got half his body over the lead. Oops! Leo, that trick was only half successful. Last attempt to impress Kali was when Leo stopped running but jumped forward like a rabbit for several meters, Kali just kept her pace. Oh boy, Leo you gave it a good shot to impress. Kali did let him give her a little kiss on the cheek before they said their goodbyes. The Doggy Business: Kali 1 & 1 and Leo 1 poop and 7 pees. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 10.03 km DURATION: 1:10:56 Good Morning Leo - it's time for school😉Well, maybe just a push to make first bell at St. Maria Goretti Elementary and see all the excitement of the kids and parents back at school. We made first bell and got a friendly wave from the street crossing guard for the school. With all that positive energy, our run was going to be a good one. Every so often Leo would look up at me and just smile and put his head by my hip and of course he received big pats and praise. I think he was just checking in on me and telling me how much he loves his runs. Big praise goes out to Leo today because the positive effects of his runs are showing. This morning on two separate occasions, we met dogs that were not that friendly. These dogs barked and growled at us and Leo just kept running. He was a truly a model dog🐶. Today was all about positive energy🐾. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and 7 pees. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 8.43 km DURATION: 1:08:38 I have heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, Miss Kali proved that theory to be true. Her human gave me the heads up that she may have more energy today because she ate her breakfast. Watch out Leo here we come with some fuel to burn. Picked up Leo and as usual he was raring to go. We hit the pathway and our new favorite green hills. These two ran like they have been running for years together. They feed off each other and that makes for a smooth and such peaceful run. At one point Kali was rolling and sliding in the grass. Leo looked at her with his head cocked and a very quizzical look " What are you doing?". Then she did it again and slid right under Leo's chest. Leo looked at me "That's not running!". Leo, my dear I think she is trying to get your attention😉. The Doggy Business: Kali no pees and no poop. Leo 1 poop and 5 pees, Runner: Michelle |
