Oh hello Kona... guess what? Today is the S day! Sunshine, slush and sand! I will not complain a bit. We had so much cold for so many days..🤪. Today, we had Kona and Ruby in the house. Both went out for a quick pee break in the yard before getting ready for our run. Kona loved the sunshine. She was bouncing around and grabbed a big bite of snow here and there. We tried to find some new routes, so we stopped a few times to check the GPS to figure out where we were! I'm one of those directionally challenged ones so I need GPS until I know the route by heart. Kona got to meet a little boy on her run as well as a neighbour by the mailboxes. Kona had no poop or pee to report, I think she took care of that in the yard before leaving.

Happy Monday Kona! It was nice to see your mom today. She got you all dressed up with your blanket and off we went. We weren’t sure how far or how long we would go. After all, it was -18C. Since Kona was in happy spirits and her paws weren’t bugging her, we went for the full hour. This gal can trot! It must seem quite comical to see us running as Kona has such long legs and I have short ones. The sunshine warmed up our hearts fairly quickly and we ended up running 7K; a new best for Kona 👏👏. She truly enjoyed her outing and was so relax. She even stopped for a pee which is a first. Since the family was home, I didn’t take care of Ruby and Winter. Today’s Business Report: Kona had one pee.

Oh hello, my friends! The gang welcomed me at the door, all happy to see me. It was nice to see that Ruby is also happy to see me as well since it is very cold still, I assume we are doing the same as yesterday. The Kiddos went out right away for a pee break, and got ready to go out with Kona as soon as we all were in again. Since we went for a short time, I allowed Winter to play during that time. I made sure she signed a contract that she wouldn’t destroy anything during that time though. 🤣Kona enjoyed her short outing. I told her the "Cold Alert" was lifted so we probably can get back to our routine next week. At our return, we got welcomed by the alarm. After talking to that “little machine” and letting them know everything was alright, all was good. Surprisingly, none of the dogs worried about it. Nice 👏. Everyone did their little business in the backyard. P.S. as I'm writing my blog in my car, 3 police car pulled over to see if I was a gangster. Good news-they released me 🤣.

Baby it’s cold outside! I was wondering if Kona would recognize me after a week off. As soon as I opened the day, she came flying at the door and greeted me like never before! “Where have you been Fab? I haven’t seen you for ages!!” She was so exited! I opened the back door for everyone to go out for a pee break and got Kona ready as soon as everyone was back in. Kona was so exited to go out Picture this: she was like a horse, prancing with high and long strides and her tail up, neck arched, and her face moving left to right (like a horse). She was hilarious 🤣! We ran around a block nearby. It took us a bit longer then 10 minutes but Kona was happy. I am sure she would have love to have gone longer. Next time Kona! Winter had a bit of play-time with Kona and they all went out again for a last chance to pee and poo before I left. See you tomorrow kiddos!

Today was an awesome day. I knew Kona was on her way to meet me when I heard the bong, bong, bong coming down the stairs. Miss Kona seems to know the routine now. She knows that when Fab shows up, it means fun. So today, Kona wanted to go first. I made sure to let the gang out in the yard for few minutes before leaving for our run. Kona got ready quickly and out we went. Such an awesome day! Kona kept an eye out in case any pups needed rescue as usual. She loves her run. When we walk or stop for any reason, she takes that opportunity to run her face against my tummy. Yes, she is that tall, or maybe it is yes, I am that short.. 🤣. We came back a bit early to take Winter out for her little walkie. She was so excited to see that Kona was part of her outing. She jumped, tried to run, and played with Kona. We both had to be careful to make sure not to step on Winter. No poop scoop or pees today for either of the two.

Another awesome outing with Kona and Winter. Today, Kona came right to me and stayed.. no more escaping upstairs... Hurray!! I took Winter out first for her little walk up to the end of the street. This little one was in such great spirits; she even tried to run 50 meters. 😃. It looks like she is a pro at it already. Then, I took Kona out for her run. All went super well as always. One thing though, she seems to fall in love with every puppy she sees walking on the street and wants to bring them back home!🤣 She is hilarious! If she sees one, she will look back to see if the puppy is following her. We had to be careful with ice here and there but it went well at the end. I made sure all the pups went out for a pee and poop in the backyard. Winter was the only one to have a pee during her walk.

Are Kona and Winter about to become my next favourite gang? I wouldn’t be surprised! They are so much fun. Today Kona came flying to the door as soon as I opened it. But again, here she changed her mind and took off upstairs. lol. I think she likes to play games. So I took Winter out for her 15 minutes. She was so funny because she started barking at a bag flying in the strong wind. This little gal is very brave and nothing scares her. Next, it was time to take Kona out, and this lady was waiting very patiently for us. Once out, we got stopped a few times by people who wanted to know more about Kona. She is a very big girl and she sure doesn’t go unnoticed:! .She is a runner's dream as she is so obedient and polite. I made sure to let everyone out in the yard before leaving but only Kona and Winter took the opportunity. The Poop Scoop: no poop or pee for Kona but Winter had one pee.

What an amazing first day for Kona and Winter! First, I arrived and Kona wasn’t sure about me. She went upstairs and there was no way that she was coming near me, so I decided to go ahead and take Winter out. This little lady was all over me. I got her dressed up and off we went. I could see in the corner of my eye that Kona wasn’t really thrilled with that. “Hey, wait for me, I too want to come along!” My little stroll with Winter went so well. She is so cute and well mannered already! We stayed out for about 12 minutes or so. When we came back home. Kona had changed her tune then 😂. She was all over us but then she changed her mind, this is when I decided to use the old weapon - treats!! It worked like a charm. Kona warmed up to me and after getting ready; out we went. We had an awesome run. Kona is such polite lady. She is awesome. She even got to get a nice rub from a neighbour; she loved it. I had all the kids to go out in the yard one more time before I left. No poo, and Winter had 1 pee.

Meet our latest DGR athletes: Kona - the Great Dane and Winter - the Terrier. On this snowy day, Fab and I got to take both dogs for a "spin." Kona is a natural athlete as you can see by her bringing out her kettlebell to show us. We have no doubts that she will be a great runner but today, we mainly did a light jog to get to know her. She really is very friendly and was a great listener. Although her size is impressive, she is one gentle gal! Next up, was the pup Winter who made it all the way down the long block. This is impressive considering her strides are considerable shorter compared to fur sibling Kona. She was peppy and unfazed even when she got a face full of snow. We must also mention the senior member of the family, a lovely Boston Terrier named Ruby who got a short stint in the backyard. She will leave the running to sisters Kona and Winter. The Scoop: no poo or pees. It was a pleasure to meet these 3 gals and we look forward to more adventures!
