It was a puppy party and sleepover the past 24 hours. We had the pleasure of Kenny & Sully’s company in our home from Friday morning till Saturday morning. There were walks to Nosehill, several pack walks at our local off-leash park, which received several compliments about that 'good looking pack.' There was dinner and treats plus EXTRA EXTRA playtime - no bedtime curfew for this gang. Sully and Aoife (our pup) would try and play ‘chase me and my stick’. Sully is pretty quick so Aoife came close but did not quite get it. Sully & her loved playing together with Sully’s green S chew toy. Kenny was a fantastic babysitter and also guarded Aoife’s crate at nap-time. Make sure that the pup sleep, was his mission. King Kenny & Sir Sully’s time was way too short. Hope for another pack reunion real soon.

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it🎵It is Kenny & Sully time. PLUS these two brothers get a sleepover. I picked them up first, before their walks so we could check out Nosehill for some NW variety. I also had a special treat for Sully. DGR Marley joined us on our walk. These two did smashingly together. There may be an age difference, and of course, Marley is a girl and Sully a boy🐾. Their speed and pace were very compatible. As were their personalities. Sully was a true gentleman. Kenny is at home resting up for his stroll after we are finished with the these kids😊. The Scoop: 4 pees, 1 poo.

I had a sweet walk with sweet dogs Kenny and Sully. Sully's tummy may have been a bit upset so we took it nice and easy. It was quite the change in weather from yesterday so we just enjoyed the cooler day and each other's company. The Scoop; 7 pees, 3 poos
Kenny and Sully got 3 different adventures at my house tis weekend. We did Edworthy on Friday once the rain let up. On Saturday, we did an early morning outing at Nosehill and on Sunday, we went to an AARCS event called Paws in the Park. This event is significant to me because not only does it support rescue dogs but it is where I first learned of Dog Gone Running 5 years ago. I met a DGR Runner and shortly thereafter became a runner and 3 months later I co-owned DGR. I now fully own DGR and have been with Kenny and Sully for several years. This weekend was a first though as it was the first time Mr. Biggelsworth came to my house. Well, let's just say Biggles owns the place. My dog Teddy likes to lick him but basically he keeps a curious safe distance. Biggles also had my sons Ryan and Eli wrapped around his feline paws. Our days were filled with outdoor play with the dogs followed by doggy naps. Teddy, Sully and Kenny actually make a triangle when they lie next to each other. Thanks again to this fur family for helping me celebrate and anniversary with Paws in the Park, One never knows what moments change the course of one's life.

What a wonderful walk this afternoon with Kenny and Sully. Luckily, today wasn't too hot. Kenny made a friend with a little Beagle today as well!

Kenny and I went on a nice walk. He had many pees and stops to sniff whatever smells he could! It was the perfect temperature for a brisk walk and looked like rain was on the way. Thanks for the walk Kenny See you soon! Sully was ready to run today! Once we stepped outside, our feet were moving fast. We ran to a nice park and on the way to the intersection, some police officers stopped at the intersection and said hi to him with big smiles. The Scoop: 2 poops and lots of pees. Thanks for the run buddy, see you soon!

We set the long weekend off on the right foot by going for a long run today. We jogged through a park and let the sun's rays beat down on us. At one point, there was a sprinkler half on the sidewalk so we ran through that to let us cool off. I could tell Sully enjoyed that! The Scoop: 2 poops and countless pees. Thanks for the run Sully!

Today Sully and I ventured out into the neighbourhoods and parks. We passed by a group of schoolchildren who loved his big grin which made them grin back too. It was a hot morning and great exercise. I think by the end Sully was even too tired to go for any squirrels! The Scoop: 2 poops and several pees. Till next time Sully! Kenny and I took a nice leisurely walk this beautiful morning. The birds were singing, cars were driving by, and there was a sweet smell of flowers in the air. The Scoop: 2 poops and 5 pees.

It's Tongue Out Tuesday for sure today!! The game plan is King Kenny goes first so Sully goes last and for the full hour. Sully was doing everything in his power to make me take him first. I chased Sully around the kitchen several times to get my sneaker back🐾. Sully, trust me there is a big reward coming your way since you are going last!! Finally, Kenny stood in the way so Sully had to give up my runner🤣. Kenny went for about 20 minutes and his distance was 600 meters. It was warm and Kenny was satisfied that he had done enough and laid down on the sidewalk. I agree with Kenny - you did have a good workout. Silly Sully...... it's your turn. Off to Optimist Park, so Sully could run free and share that mischievous smile. Sully did 6.7 kms in 1:03. Sully was tired when we got home. Mission accomplished because Sully you get full roam of the house. I told you it was worth the wait. The Doggy Business Report: Kenny 1 poop & 4 pees. Sully had 2 poops and 6 pees.

Kenny and Sully always brighten my day by their warm welcomes and ecstatic wagging tails. Today's run included an extra friend named Destiny. All I can say is that Destiny is destined to be a DGR Runner as she has a lot of experience with dogs and they instantly listen to her. On this hot day, we took it nice and easy. Sully got to go go first and boy, was he a perfect gentleman. He gave me those lovey dovey eyes but just walked steadily beside us. He was rewarded with a stick to chomp on. Kenny, of course, was a doll, The Scoop: poops for both boys and a plethora of pees. Thanks again to Destiny and welcome to the DGR Team.

Good morning Kenny and Sully! Can you believe it’s already 25 degrees out and only 10:30am?! Sully was so excited to have a human friend that he picked my car keys up in his month and started spinning around 😂. I tried to take Sul pup out first but he was not interested in running with the heat. Time for Plan B - the off-leash park. We walked back to the house and I picked up Kenny and the three of us drove to the dog park. The boys were MUCH happier. Kenny sniffed every inch of greenery; tailing slightly behind Sully and me. Sully happily chased the ball. I laughed when I needed to pick it out of his mouth. The “drop it” concept wasn’t in full effect today 😅. Kenny seemed to have almost as much energy as Sully had today. It made my happy to see these two boys having fun together! We did a decent sized loop, then slowly made our way back to the car. Both boys laid down panting (but smiling) from our date! Kenny happily got into the vehicle, however I had to pick Sully up 😂. One poop for Kenny. Pees for both!

I love being reunited with Kenny and Sully as they make me feel so wanted. They also gave a friendly hello to my dog Teddy and prospective runner Marya. We took Kenny for a short stroll so he could get some sun and do his business and then got Sully out for some more serious running. We even did 7K. We led Sully to my house to drop off Teddy and then gave Mr. Sullivan some extra running time to get out that pent-up energy. I loved seeing him go from over the top excitement to chill with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. It is quite the transformation. The Scoop: 1 poop for each pup and lots of pees. The Labs and I agree that Marya is a great fit for DGR and were so happy to have her join on this outing. I think they gave her the lovely Lab warm welcome to DGR!

This bright summery morning I was happy to join Ruth and her dog Teddy along with our furry friends Kenny and Sully. We were greeted with wagging tails and big dog grins showing those pearly whites. First, we took Kenny for a walk and then headed out with Sullivan and Teddy for a good 7km run. We stopped at the community centre to take a few pictures and enjoy the shade for a little bit. The doggos looked pretty hot in the blazing sun with their tongues hanging out of their mouths and panting. The scoop: 1 poop for each dog and many pees. It was very fun meeting these furry friends and I am excited to take them on more runs and be part of the DGR team. Cheers!

Kenny and I went down the block and the most annoying thing happened. Right after I put my phone in my fanny pack, my RunKeeper app paused. I noticed it hadn't tracked our distance or time when I pulled out my phone to take a picture. At least Kenny and I weren't going too far. Sully and I headed in a new direction today. We did a mix of running and walking, and we saw a lot of new sights. We saw a memorial where Sully went up to a metal statue of a soldier and gave him a good sniff. I redirected him before he could pee on the soldier's metal leg. We saw a crowded playground that looked brand new. It had a metal airplane, big swings, and tall green tower with a lookout and everything. Instead of gravel, this playground had sand, "Woahhh, cool," said my inner child-self. Great job today boys!

It was pandemonium when I arrived today. Kenny and Sully both get SO excited when it's time to go outside. The theme of the day seemed to be the smell of rain. For whatever reason, whenever it rains our furry friends cannot get enough of smelling the ground. It was an uber slow day for both Kenny and Sully as we made LOTS of stops to smell things. Sully and I would start running and moments later he would go from a run to a complete stop in a fraction of a second to catch a smell. After a couple rounds of these big stop-and-go moments, we opted for a MUCH slower jogging pace. He, of course, also had to take his sweet time rolling around in the wet grass. Luckily none of us got caught in any rain! Woo hoo! And also lucky for me that these two gems are super cool with getting their paws wiped! I entered into chaos and left two zen dogs. The scoop: 1 poop and a couple pees for Kenny, 2 poops and a couple pees for Sully.

What a way to start the day! Kenny and Sully were practically bouncing off the walls when I walked in this morning! Kenny and I took our little loop around the block for him to do his business. He had several admirers along the way. He may be slow but he still has lots of strength! I nearly got pulled off my feet a couple times because Kenny would suddenly find an amazing smell to check out. Sully was very happy to see us come back, and literally sprinted us out the back gate. We almost did a reverse of our route on Friday heading towards the Athletic Park again. Sully ran like a champ; his tongue lolling out the whole time. He may not be the fastest dog out there when it comes to distance running, but he sure is one of the sweetest! The scoop: 1 poop for Kenny & several pees. 2 poops and many pees for Sully.
