Oh, there was some ’Lab Love’ this long weekend at my house. King Kenny & Sir Sully arrived on Friday mid-day and the fun never stopped until last night. I had to wake both pups up when we arrived at their home last night. I think they had fun at Aunty Michelle’s🤣. There were park romp arounds and tug-o-war with this ultra heavy-duty dog rope I just bought. There were also some extra bed-time cuddles and even crate cuddles. Kenny & Aoife have a real special bond, ever since she was little. They always have to be laying beside each other on a dog bed. I would find Kenny sometimes in Aoife’s crate waiting for her. Kenny has a super calming effect on her. Huxley joined us this weekend so there were a ’few blonde boys’ around the house. It was a fantastic Valentine's Weekend.

DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3
DISTANCE: 5.2 km DURATION:
We waited it out as long as possible. 24-hours exactly and the gang just HAD to go and get Huxley. Sully, Huxley and Aoife ran the hills of Nosehill. The original plan was to visit Tuscany Coulee but after receiving a PSA warning of cheeky coyotes and a Bobcat visiting that area, plans had to change!! I brought extra-human reinforcement with me today while having this young Pup Pack at Nosehill. I don't know what was with these 3 pups but they must have done at least 5 hill repeats. My legs did not manage that many😊. Time for a treat, a cup of tea, and a rest. Sully pooped once. Huxley & Sully peed multiple times.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3
DISTANCE: 3.4 km DURATION: 1 hour 7 minutes
I had the privilege of taking some of DGR’s pups to Nosehill for a Valentine's Pup Pack Party 🐾❤️. Huxley, Aoife, and Sully zipped around as the snow was falling. All the specialty boxes were checked. All dogs love Nosehill. The temp were cooler and there was pup energy to run all over the place. Valentine's Day should come every day! Now for a treat and nap back at my place. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 1 poop and lots of pees. Sully had 1 poop and multiple pees.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3
DISTANCE: 8.7 km DURATION: 1 hour
Kenny and I went on a short walk around the corner. He marked a couple poles, and we just took our time as we walked for about 10 minutes. Sully pulled me for the first little bit of our run. He wanted to go fast, so we did. We made a big puzzle piece looking shape on the Doggy Logs map, then had 20 minutes left so we ran 2 loops perpendicular to each other. After about halfway, Sully was much calmer as we ran. Mainly because he was getting super tired as we were not taking any coffee breaks today. Also, Sully and I got barked at by a fluffy puppy on a table as seen in the picture, and we came across a couple walking their pet cat. Sully was like, "Hey, that's not Biggles." Great job today boys! The Scoop: 4 pees, 1 poo.
Three days with my favourite Labs was not enough. Kenny and Sully did not want to leave my side though Kenny does find "his spot in the house" on one of Teddy's beds instead of navigating any stairs. Sully, however, joined me in all areas of our home and often watched as I rode my Peloton bike. I felt like he was cheering me on. He would then grab a squeaky toy and let me know that it was his turn for exercise. He sure does a good job of taking out squeakers. We had great weather for our walks with Kenny and jogs with Sully. The boys both did not want to miss out any time with me so I got a few wake-up calls before I had to let them know, it was still time to snooze. Silly Sully! My favourite moment was when Sully and Teddy snuggled with me on the couch as I read and Kenny was at my feet. I read 100 pages of a good book and had the best companionship. The house never feels the same after their departure. Thanks again for the mini vacation.

DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2
DISTANCE: 3.3 km DURATION: 54 minutes
From 3 happy-go lucky doggies chasing balls and prancing in the snow to 3 dogs snoring next to my side as I type this blog. I picked up my favourite Yellow Labs for some time at my house for the next few days and started it out by taking them directly to River Park for their scheduled walk. I decided to keep them on the lower pathways so we could have time to ourselves as I have heard Senior Kenny is getting a bit cranky with the young doggies. That is fair, he deserves the peace and quiet. Sully was not in a sharing mood and seemed to take hold of 2 orange Chuck-it balls in his mouth, Teddy was frustrated so he found a stick or two to carry until he finally sneaked one of the balls away from Sully. We kept it slow and at Kenny's pace butKenny did throw up a bit in the car when we finished. I will keep an eye on his tummy and disposition but he seems back to his happy self. I am looking forward to snuggles the rest of the day with these two puppers. The Scoop: 2 poos for Sully and 1 poo for Kenny and a bazillion pees.
Having Biggles in our home is always therapeutic! He is such a big love! Here are a few of the things he was a big help with: 1) bringing Christmas cheer, 2) helping bake cookies, 3) watching Christmas movies from his favourite basket to snuggle in, and 4) snuggling with the boys while they tried on ugly Christmas sweaters and did on-line Christmas shopping.
Teddy was very excited to see Biggles again and gave him a big tongue lick a few times. We laughed because as we watched a Christmas movie, Teddy just stared at Mr. Biggelsworth. Biggles provides him with a lot of entertainment. When Biggles wasn't helping with Christmas items, he was snuggled deep under a pile of blankets. Thanks again for the cat therapy!

DGR RUN OF THE DAY # 2
DISTANCE: 6.6 km DURATION: 60 minutes
Kenny and Sully greeted me from the window as I walked up to the house. Kenny was up first. He and I had a pleasant stroll around the block. The sun was brightly shining in the sky, and the snow reflected its light, which made me have to squint when I looked up or down. On the way back, Kenny slowed down a bit, so we just took our time for the last block or two. Sully and I started off with a fast run and I quickly heated up in all my layers. Sully was filled with joy to be outside. I think it was because he can always do his favourite activity in the winter weather: penguin sliding. He slid in the alley, he slid on the road, and he slid on the sidewalk. Great job today boys! The Scoop: 3 pees, 1 poo.
We had a fun few days with regular runs for Sully and trips around the block for Kenny Although the weather did take a turn for the worst the past few days we still got out and about. Biggles even had a little time in the backyard!
Kenny had his pretty easy, regular trips around the block kept him regular! He ate well and seems to have pretty good energy giving Sully a run for his money when he wanted to wrestle! He wasn't overly fond of the back steps, especially the past 2 days as they were very slippery so I took him out the front instead. Kenny didn't always join us in the room at night, sleeping downstairs instead. However, he always had energy in the morning to join the wake up crew! It's quite something to be woken up before 6am with 2 dogs staring at you and wagging their tails and a cat meowing for his breakfast! Ha ha!
Sully was super well behaved, after we sorted out the dominance issue. He was very responsive whenever I called him and was a great little running partner. He was good with sitting before crossing the road, and before he got his dinner, though I did have to stop him from eating Kenny's leftovers a few times! We managed to get him and Kenny brushed and he seemed to quite like it! Man, there was a lot of hair that came off the boys!
Mr Biggles seemed to be good. He was eating a bit less wet food for 2 days but seemed to be back on track this past day. I love that he is sat there waiting patiently for his breakfast each day. I did make the mistake one day of serving his food and scooping his poop when he wasn't there and turned around to find Sully nose deep in it! Ninja dog!!
What a fun time with this crew!

DGR RUN OF THE DAY
DISTANCE: 2.2 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute
I see you in the window Sully!! And in a flash, he leapt down the stairs to the main floor to greet me. Kenny did his little hop-hop of excitement. Sully grabbed my boot and both leashes to show he was READY!! With such an energetic welcome, you boys deserve an adventure to Edworthy. Little did we know what awaited us. Upon arrival, there was a black dog in the middle of the road at the parking lot and another young white dog looking lost. I got out first and went to them. Kenny and Sully stayed in the car. I wanted to check out the situation. These two poor souls were lost and hungry. Kenny and Sully helped me give them treats. The boys made these two dogs feel safe and comfortable to be in our pack. Thank goodness for YYC Lost Pets' Facebook page. Fortunately, these two pooches found their parents. Kenny & Sully - you are the true heroes for today🥰. Both boys had a poop each and several pees.
Wherever Kenny & Sully are, you know there will be fun going on. These two Labs are the life of the party and the household. We were so excited to have them back for a longer visit this time. As it fortunately happened, Marley B. was also staying during the same time period. Sully and Marley really like each other. Even though there is an age difference, they will always be found on their walks side-by-side. At night-time, it was Sully and Marley that slept on the bed with me. I caught them a couple of times with their paws touching side by side. Wish I could have taken a photo of that. Morning time was always Kenny & Aoife's playtime outside. Kenny got the hi jinx and pounced around and Aoife thought this was great. On Thursday, Marley & Sully had the pleasure of DGR Dog Huxley joining in on their Nosehill trip. Lots and lots of fun that day. Kenny loved his morning stroll in our off-leash park when it was just him and Aoife. Our evening walks consisted of the whole pack. On Saturday, Kenny and Marley partook in Aoife’s first adventure to Nosehill. I must say Aoife was all tuckered out when we got to the car. Maybe stimulation overload. Not even Kenny could get her to play until she had a long nap. By the end of the day, Sully was the only one up for keeping up with our pup. Sully would instantly drop and plop over with the toy in his mouth and show Aoife his belly. I do not think there was a toy in the toy box that these two did not play with. It was a great time having the ‘gang’ all here.

It was great having Biggles as our recent house guest. He’d always give me some good company whenever I was having a long day. Whether I was sitting at the counter, table, TV or computer, Biggles would come sit right on my lap and usually start purring his loud purr. On his stay, he found some spots that I’d always find him if he wasn’t strolling around the house: perched on the counter that looks out into the backyard, downstairs on the couch nestled in the blankets, and under the covers in a bed. I had to check under the covers every time I sat on my bed so I wouldn’t squish him by accident. Biggles, you’re an awesome cat, thank you for you company!

It was a puppy party and sleepover the past 24 hours. We had the pleasure of Kenny & Sully’s company in our home from Friday morning till Saturday morning. There were walks to Nosehill, several pack walks at our local off-leash park, which received several compliments about that 'good looking pack.' There was dinner and treats plus EXTRA EXTRA playtime - no bedtime curfew for this gang. Sully and Aoife (our pup) would try and play ‘chase me and my stick’. Sully is pretty quick so Aoife came close but did not quite get it. Sully & her loved playing together with Sully’s green S chew toy. Kenny was a fantastic babysitter and also guarded Aoife’s crate at nap-time. Make sure that the pup sleep, was his mission. King Kenny & Sir Sully’s time was way too short. Hope for another pack reunion real soon.

I'm so excited, I just can't hide it🎵It is Kenny & Sully time. PLUS these two brothers get a sleepover. I picked them up first, before their walks so we could check out Nosehill for some NW variety. I also had a special treat for Sully. DGR Marley joined us on our walk. These two did smashingly together. There may be an age difference, and of course, Marley is a girl and Sully a boy🐾. Their speed and pace were very compatible. As were their personalities. Sully was a true gentleman. Kenny is at home resting up for his stroll after we are finished with the these kids😊. The Scoop: 4 pees, 1 poo.
DISTANCE: 3.6 km . DURATION: 58 minutes
I had a sweet walk with sweet dogs Kenny and Sully. Sully's tummy may have been a bit upset so we took it nice and easy. It was quite the change in weather from yesterday so we just enjoyed the cooler day and each other's company. The Scoop; 7 pees, 3 poos
