DGR RUN OF THE DAY #7
DISTANCE: 7.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 16 minutes
🤩Hot Dogs!!🤩 The Thursday Boys Sully & Huxley basked in the sun and smells at 12 Mile Coulee. That rain made the sweet green grass soo tantalizing to Sully. No no Sully, too much of that sweet stuff upsets your tummy. Huxley was showing all the highlights of HIS off-leash park. Over here Sully!! Come to this area.!! This is the best spot to sniff!! Thank you, Huxley, for the great tour. At the half-way point, the ’Hot Dogs’ tongues were out and dangling. By the 3/4 mark - Sully was very happy to stay by my side. Overload on the Fun meter, hey🤣? Let's say they were two happy dogs to hit the air conditioning. Their tongues touched the ground. The Doggy Business Report: a zillion competitive pees and 1 poop each.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3
DISTANCE: 4 km. DURATION: 1 hour 4 minutes
The day after a stat holiday should also be a holiday 🤩. Huxley, I hear you had a fun Canada Day. Let's go get Sully for a ’Boys Fun Hour’. Sully, you are showing no signs of too much fun yesterday! Edworthy was our destination for these two handsome chaps. There was not a person or pup who was not greeted by Sully & Huxley today. A couple of times I even had to remind them they were with me!! I better up my intrigue and fun, to my game. 🤣 The trails added a tad more of a technical challenge today due to the rain and a slip’n slide factor. Sully and Huxley had loads of fun. Just look at those cute & happy faces‼️No holiday mode next Thursday boys. I am going to raise the heart rate and move those paws.🐾 The Doggy Business Report: Sully had 1 poop and Huxley had 2 poops. Many, many pees by both boys.
A party would never be complete without having the Lab Brothers attend. This weekend it was a dog party at my house and Kenny & Sully came for the weekend. These two boys are both charmers; just in very different ways. Sully is all energy in. He, Aoife, Quinn and Ennis had their big party at Nosehill on Saturday. Sully had to escort the gals, Aoife & Quinn, one on either side of him!! OMG, he is a Romeo. Then you have the Smooth Senior approach that Kenny has. Kenny is not the wild child, but have no concerns, this boy knows how to get all ages of ladies attention. Our neighbour has an 11-week old female pup named Jasper that Kenny was so good with. Jasper was all over Kenny. Then, on one of our strolls another Senior Gal (canine version) decided she just had to walk Kenny home. You are good Kenny!! Sully jumped on Quinn's & my bed and that was just where he was going to sleep. He gave Quinn one of those Sully smiles and melted any rebuttal that she may have want to give. The party at Nosehill had Ennis & Sully with big grins. Kenny held the home=front down while the young ones partied. I think Kenny enjoys the quiet so he can be extra smooth on his walks. It was so much fun having King Kenny & Sir Sully back for a visit. Keep up the charm.

DGR RUN OF THE DAY #7
DISTANCE: 16 minutes DURATION: 409 m
I had a fun strolling with the sweetest Senior there is, King Kenny😘. We took our time and literally stopped and smelled the flowers. See you Saturday. Xo Xo. The Doggy Business Report: 3 pees, no poops and 2 lie-downs on the cool grass.🐾
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #10
DISTANCE: 4.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 33 minutes
Happy 6th Birthday Huxley🎉🐾. There is a party planned for this special occasion. First off, Marley got picked up, then Sully. King Kenny wanted to come but this group is going a bit too fast for him. Then by accident, Sully sat in the reserved seat that Marley saves for Huxley every Thursday. Well, this was not going to do. Sully jumped straight into the driver's seat and chauffeured us to get Huxley. There was so much excitement, fun, swimming, shenanigans and celebration that we took our time. Every minute was full-on party mode. As ’I’ drove Sully home (he was too tired to drive, he fell asleep. Then I went to our house to get Aoife for round two. As Huxley & Marley refuelled with some water and snacks, I went to harness Aoife up. I then went into the kitchen to find both pups sleeping. Okay, we will celebrate more on Tuesday.😂I think you two are done in. The Doggy Business Report: All dogs had 1 poop each and many pees for everyone.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #5
DISTANCE: 619 metres DURATION: 20 minutes
Oh Boy, was I looking forward to today! King Kenny & Sir Sully were on my schedule. I have not seen these two fine boys for a while. Sully got the okay to go to Huxley’s birthday party from Mom. That meant that I got some solo time with Kenny, the gentlest senior going. After a warm welcome, Kenny and I strolled arm-in-arm to the school. His little bum bum wiggled and his tail wagged. It was a divine time with Kenny. See you later Sweet Senior. The Doggy Business Report: 3 pees and one wet kiss️.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #1
DISTANCE: 3.5 km for Sully and .8 km for Kenny
DURATION: 1 hour 14 minutes
On National Running Day, I was lucky enough to be reunited with Yellow Labs Kenny and Sully. It feels like forever since our last outing so I was so glad they still had their over-the-top excitement for me. They were carrying shoes and wagging their tails with vigour! Oldie but Goody Kenny got a short trip down to the school and that was all he could muster but he sure was joyful! We even had a rest in the dandelions! Sully was trying so hard to be patient but I think by the time we were out the door, he let the floodgates loose. Because he was jumping up on me, I loaded him in my car for distraction and a field trip to Edworthy Park. Once there, I used a stick to keep his mind off me and on fetching. Oh Silly Sully - I do love you but you had a single-track mind! I also attempted a hill but Sully was warm by that point and was less keen to run up. Next time, we will bring along my dog Teddy so you can have a buddy to chase. It was nice seeing your mom! The Scoop: pees only for both!
Oh, there was some ’Lab Love’ this long weekend at my house. King Kenny & Sir Sully arrived on Friday mid-day and the fun never stopped until last night. I had to wake both pups up when we arrived at their home last night. I think they had fun at Aunty Michelle’s🤣. There were park romp arounds and tug-o-war with this ultra heavy-duty dog rope I just bought. There were also some extra bed-time cuddles and even crate cuddles. Kenny & Aoife have a real special bond, ever since she was little. They always have to be laying beside each other on a dog bed. I would find Kenny sometimes in Aoife’s crate waiting for her. Kenny has a super calming effect on her. Huxley joined us this weekend so there were a ’few blonde boys’ around the house. It was a fantastic Valentine's Weekend.

DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3
DISTANCE: 5.2 km DURATION:
We waited it out as long as possible. 24-hours exactly and the gang just HAD to go and get Huxley. Sully, Huxley and Aoife ran the hills of Nosehill. The original plan was to visit Tuscany Coulee but after receiving a PSA warning of cheeky coyotes and a Bobcat visiting that area, plans had to change!! I brought extra-human reinforcement with me today while having this young Pup Pack at Nosehill. I don't know what was with these 3 pups but they must have done at least 5 hill repeats. My legs did not manage that many😊. Time for a treat, a cup of tea, and a rest. Sully pooped once. Huxley & Sully peed multiple times.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3
DISTANCE: 3.4 km DURATION: 1 hour 7 minutes
I had the privilege of taking some of DGR’s pups to Nosehill for a Valentine's Pup Pack Party 🐾❤️. Huxley, Aoife, and Sully zipped around as the snow was falling. All the specialty boxes were checked. All dogs love Nosehill. The temp were cooler and there was pup energy to run all over the place. Valentine's Day should come every day! Now for a treat and nap back at my place. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 1 poop and lots of pees. Sully had 1 poop and multiple pees.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3
DISTANCE: 8.7 km DURATION: 1 hour
Kenny and I went on a short walk around the corner. He marked a couple poles, and we just took our time as we walked for about 10 minutes. Sully pulled me for the first little bit of our run. He wanted to go fast, so we did. We made a big puzzle piece looking shape on the Doggy Logs map, then had 20 minutes left so we ran 2 loops perpendicular to each other. After about halfway, Sully was much calmer as we ran. Mainly because he was getting super tired as we were not taking any coffee breaks today. Also, Sully and I got barked at by a fluffy puppy on a table as seen in the picture, and we came across a couple walking their pet cat. Sully was like, "Hey, that's not Biggles." Great job today boys! The Scoop: 4 pees, 1 poo.
Three days with my favourite Labs was not enough. Kenny and Sully did not want to leave my side though Kenny does find "his spot in the house" on one of Teddy's beds instead of navigating any stairs. Sully, however, joined me in all areas of our home and often watched as I rode my Peloton bike. I felt like he was cheering me on. He would then grab a squeaky toy and let me know that it was his turn for exercise. He sure does a good job of taking out squeakers. We had great weather for our walks with Kenny and jogs with Sully. The boys both did not want to miss out any time with me so I got a few wake-up calls before I had to let them know, it was still time to snooze. Silly Sully! My favourite moment was when Sully and Teddy snuggled with me on the couch as I read and Kenny was at my feet. I read 100 pages of a good book and had the best companionship. The house never feels the same after their departure. Thanks again for the mini vacation.

DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2
DISTANCE: 3.3 km DURATION: 54 minutes
From 3 happy-go lucky doggies chasing balls and prancing in the snow to 3 dogs snoring next to my side as I type this blog. I picked up my favourite Yellow Labs for some time at my house for the next few days and started it out by taking them directly to River Park for their scheduled walk. I decided to keep them on the lower pathways so we could have time to ourselves as I have heard Senior Kenny is getting a bit cranky with the young doggies. That is fair, he deserves the peace and quiet. Sully was not in a sharing mood and seemed to take hold of 2 orange Chuck-it balls in his mouth, Teddy was frustrated so he found a stick or two to carry until he finally sneaked one of the balls away from Sully. We kept it slow and at Kenny's pace butKenny did throw up a bit in the car when we finished. I will keep an eye on his tummy and disposition but he seems back to his happy self. I am looking forward to snuggles the rest of the day with these two puppers. The Scoop: 2 poos for Sully and 1 poo for Kenny and a bazillion pees.
Having Biggles in our home is always therapeutic! He is such a big love! Here are a few of the things he was a big help with: 1) bringing Christmas cheer, 2) helping bake cookies, 3) watching Christmas movies from his favourite basket to snuggle in, and 4) snuggling with the boys while they tried on ugly Christmas sweaters and did on-line Christmas shopping.
Teddy was very excited to see Biggles again and gave him a big tongue lick a few times. We laughed because as we watched a Christmas movie, Teddy just stared at Mr. Biggelsworth. Biggles provides him with a lot of entertainment. When Biggles wasn't helping with Christmas items, he was snuggled deep under a pile of blankets. Thanks again for the cat therapy!

DGR RUN OF THE DAY # 2
DISTANCE: 6.6 km DURATION: 60 minutes
Kenny and Sully greeted me from the window as I walked up to the house. Kenny was up first. He and I had a pleasant stroll around the block. The sun was brightly shining in the sky, and the snow reflected its light, which made me have to squint when I looked up or down. On the way back, Kenny slowed down a bit, so we just took our time for the last block or two. Sully and I started off with a fast run and I quickly heated up in all my layers. Sully was filled with joy to be outside. I think it was because he can always do his favourite activity in the winter weather: penguin sliding. He slid in the alley, he slid on the road, and he slid on the sidewalk. Great job today boys! The Scoop: 3 pees, 1 poo.
