My, oh my, it sure is a gorgeous Friday. It's wicked warm out there for a Calgary winter. Too bad the only thing hindering this wonderful weather was the sight of the snow that has merely turned into a brown slush mixture: 4 cups of melting snow, 1 cup of dirt, and 2 tablespoons of week-old salt that was thrown down on the ground to kill the ice. Side note: I'm not the best baker. I took Sully out first today, and we crushed out a good ol' 4K. Good job Sully, you're a champ. Next, I took out Kenny for our 1ish km expedition. We did some switchbacks and made a little pattern on our map because why not. Kenny was soaking up the sun with a great big smile on his face. Great job my dudes. 1 poo and many pees each.

Today, I decided to go about things with these boys a little differently than normal. I took out Sully first. Yes that's right and we did just a little bit over 3km. Sully performed some of his penguin slides for me as well. Before I took Kenny out I had to strip off some layers because I was wearing a thick jacket on top of a hoodie on top of a long sleeve wicking layer. I was sweating like crazy! Kenny's turn was next. We were speedy walkers today as we accomplished a whole two kilometres. I think that's a new on-leash record for Kenny and me. Hurray! Great job boys! 1 poo each and many pees.

Had a great walk/run with Kenny and Sully for about a half hour, with many MANY pauses to sniff and pee! We passed several other dogs, which generally resulted in me sliding along the snow for a bit, as both boys were very excited to greet new dogs...but in the end we admired everyone from afar, just to stay on the safe side. I dropped Kenny off and headed out with Sully as he seemed to have a fair bit of energy left to burn, but I think he was off on his timing a bit because hump day isn't until tomorrow! He was VERY persistent in his pursuit of me, so due to safety on the slippery sidewalks, I thought it best to head back and play a bit in the backyard, then spend some time chatting with and the fur family! Both Kenny and Sully had many pees, but only Kenny had one poop today.
Adding Sully's special collar worked wonders! We had a short loop around the block, followed by lots of snow rolling. One pee and one poop!

A Tale of Two Dogs - a play in two acts, starring Kenny and Sully. Act 1: Kenny and I managed to squeeze by Sully to get our walk in first. Kenny wiggled, waggled, smiled, and sniffed. We paused as Kenny discovered every new scent left by passing dogs, and even took a break to admire the freshly fallen snow. I think we both agreed that winter was looking gorgeous. Act 2: Leaving the door with Sully full in front, we dashed at Mach 3 for the horizon. We ran from one sniff to the next. He zoomed to find all the scents that Kenny may have missed and more. Sully also discovered a stick, and that gave him cause to trot and show off his discovery. Sully then became quite amorous with my leg, and so we needed to correct that naughty behaviour ASAP. Well, at least we tried. We spent the balance of our run pausing, correcting, and running. Not exactly a great way to finish our tale, but Sully achieved some better mileage as a result. The scoop: 1 poop each and several markings each. My leg is thankfully intact.

Kenny, you're up first! We did our usual 1ish kilometre and Kenny loves walking to the side of me, through the deeper snow on people's front lawns. Once we got back home, I gave him a yummy dental treat. Good boy Kenny! Now it was Sully's turn. As soon as I let him out of his pen, he sprinted to the door. Somebody is excited. On our outing, Sully and I had a wild encounter. While we were going through an alley, we heard a commotion happening inside a garbage bin. Sully insisted that we go check it out. Once we were close enough, a black squirrel practically exploded out of the bin like a jack in the box. I made sure to give Sully his dental treat at the end too. 0 poo for Kenny. 1 poo for Sully and many pees for both boys.

Kenny and Sully, it has been a long time since I saw you guys last and oh boy, was it great to be reunited today. It’s too bad the weather was so crummy because I would have loved to have taken them to the dog park and experience some real fun. Sully hasn’t changed much. He is still super eager to run as fast as he can all the time and Kenny is looking as great as ever. When I took Sully out for his 20 minutes, he would bounce from smell to smell; running in a zig zag-like line. He surely made the most out of our short walk. Kenny, on the other hand, took his time to get a good sniff of every smell. I could tell he really wasn’t a fan of this cold weather either (I’m with you on that Kenny). The scoop: one poo for Kenny & Sully and many pees.

Kenny and Sully excitedly jumped into the car, and off we went! Once we arrived at the park, they seemed pretty happy to be frolicking in the snow. There was a huge stick that they both seemed to like. It ended up distracting Sully a bit so I was able to play fetch with Kenny which was fun. It is so cute to watch older dogs fully behave like puppies! Sully got a lot of very quick sprints in, and this time he seemed to only keep one ball in his mouth most of the time. It's funny how different the weather has been this week...we went to the same place, but each time it felt and looked very different. Each had one poop and one pee and a few markings.

To the park we went! Kenny and Sully had a blast playing fetch today. I even remembered to bring along three balls so Kenny would have the chance to play too; Sully likes to have as many of the orange chewy balls in his mouth at a time as possible! We met two other dogs and everyone exchanged pleasantries. Really today was all about chasing and chewing the balls! Both Kenny and Sully took many stops for marking, as well as both a pee and poop break for each. We also had a nice family cuddle for a while once we got back home. Biggles sure does love being part of the action!

Kenny, Sully, and I took a trip to the dog park this sunny Monday! Sully had a fantastic time rolling in the snow and chasing (but mostly chewing) the ball, and Kenny was pretty content strolling along and inspecting all of the bushes and rocks. They had a blast chasing each other and wrestling for the balls every now and again. I think the best part for them was going somewhere slightly different and feeling the sunshine and smelling the new smells! There were many pees and 1 poop each this afternoon. Once we got back home, it was time for some serious cuddling, and mid-day CSI New York!

Off to Edworthy Park we went. Kenny and Sully burst out of my car upon arrival. Along the way, Sully picked up a stick. Well, it was more than just a stick because sticks can easily snap and bend. This wooden object was more so a branch, as it was thick and solid. I had to dodge the darn thing every time Sully came bolting past me. Kenny got a great workout keeping up. Sometimes he'd run a little bit and he did a great job keeping Sully in line. Although I was walking at Kenny's pace, Sully also got his fair share of exercise as he wandered around proudly carrying the 10 lbs of extra weight in his mouth. 1 poo each and many, many pees.

I have a news for you all.. including you two- Kenny and Sully, winter is back!! 😁. It wasn’t bad earlier this morning but it was not good when I arrived at the kids' home as a snowstorm and wind were on the menu. Looking at it from inside the car, I was like hmmm.. 🤔. Kids didn’t seems to worry much about it. They were too excited to go out regardless of the weather! Like yesterday, Sully went first. He sat by the open door like a champ. He knows the routine. Since he is an awesome and smart boy, he remembers it very well. We went out 5.2km before coming back home to pick up Kenny. This “young” man was much better than yesterday. His walk and trot were more lively which made me happier. So another awesome outing with the kids. Hurray! 👏😃🐾. The Poop Scoop. Sully had a poop and a few pees. Kenny had 3 pees.

Oh, hello Kenny and Sully! Always so nice to see you both. Today, I took Sully our first. My plan was to have him run his 5km first and then he would come along with Kenny and me for the last km. It worked like a charm. When he got home, he was relaxed and we had a very nice walk with Kenny afterwards. Sully is so funny when he runs. His nose is on alert and he can pick up garbage at any moment. We had an awesome run. We stopped to get Kenny for the last 15 minutes. I have taken Kenny out for walks before and I found that today he was much slower. We respected his speed and had a nice walk. The Poop Scoop: Sully had a poop and 3 pees. Kenny had no poo but 2 pees.

Sully did 4K and Kenny did a little less than 1K. Sully was full of energy today and we ran fast but then he would pause to play in the snow. He was trying to get into my treat bag and it took a bit of time to redirect him to keep going. I guess treats are extra tasty today!! He really enjoyed rolling and digging in the snow! We stopped to sniff the bushes and he enjoyed sunshine on his face. I got a great photo of this. It w cold out and I could tell on our way back, he was ready to head home. Kenny had 1 poo and 3 pees. Sully had several pees.

Oh Kenny and Sully, you look fabulous as always! I could hear the deep barks from the road, they must
know when runners are about to arrive. First, I took Kenny out. He is such a gentleman; taking his time, sniffing around, and enjoying his walk. Sully was more of a bouncy guy.. I had to remind him that regardless the situation, he is supposed to listen especially when near the road. He was so exited, I had him practicing the sit and wait with the door open for a minute. Since he is a good boy, he did very well. Also because that boy was so full of energy ,I made sure he ran his 5km+ . We was way quieter when he came back home. Haha! I had to watch him. He loves picking up garbage on his run and he does it so quickly. I had to stay alert the entire time. Business Report: Kenny had one poop and 5 pees. Sully had one poop and 3 pees.

Today I had my first run with Kenny and Sully. I was so excited to meet them. I started my run with Kenny for a little bit of a run and walk. Kenny. It was so nice and peaceful. After around 15 minutes, I took Sully. He is more energetic. Therefore, we went for a fast run around the school area. Both of them stopped for several pees and a poo.
