DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute This morning’s run was an exciting one for Sully. As soon as we were out the door and on our way down the block, I realized that I forgot the new DGR calendar at home. So, Sully and I made the journey over to my house to pick it up. Sully was more than happy to see Teddy and my mom, but our visit was a brief one. When it was time to leave, Sully seemed like he wanted to stay and play, meanwhile Teddy was like, “Take me with you!” Poor guy probably thought we came to pick him up instead of the calendar. When we got back home, I gave Sully his treat and some pets before saying goodbye. Great job today my friend, and thanks to you and your family for the awesome advent calendars for Mini and Teddy. They’re going to absolutely love them! The Scoop: 4 pees, 1 poop. Runner: Ryan

DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5.2 km DURATION: 1 hour 15 minutes Baby it's cold outside. I know that is the line from a Christmas carol. (Too early to reference??) Sully was ready to go. Miss Patti was dressed to kill, showing off her long legs in her windbreaker. I think she knew Sully was her running partner today. Thank goodness for the trees to break some of that wind. The pups really enjoy zipping up and down the dirt trails. The wide-open space made them both look at me and say “The wind messes with our hair!” The Doggy Business Report: Miss Patti was 1 & 1. Sully was 1 poop and many pees. Runner: Michelle Pet sitting Sully a.k.a. Sir Snores A Lot, was a wonderful and warm staycation. It was so nice having this gentle giant in our home. He hopped out of the car and strolled into the house like he had been here before (which he hadn’t). Hahaha! He is as easy going as they come, and as long as he’s beside someone, he’s happy. Sully kept Christine company while I was with clients or running other dogs. He is a great companion. We went for walks in the morning and evening on Wednesday, played with the ball in the backyard, and had lots of cuddle time during our short time together. It was awesome having Sully stay with us. He is always welcome here!
Pet Sitter: Brad DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE :9.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute Cruise Control It was a gorgeous morning and a fantastic run with Sully today! Being in my area of town, Sully wasn’t as into marking every 50’ for the first 10 minutes as per usual. Today, we just ran! In typical Sully style, he was smiling with his tongue hanging out every step of the way. There were big scratches and hair shedding at major intersections while waiting for the light to change. A perfect morning to run! The Scoop: a couple pees and 1 poop. Runner: Brad DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.2 km DURATION: 1 hour 24 minutes There was a quick substitute on doggy friends this morning. Aoife, you are up🐾! Sully approved the switch.🤣 Today was a very different greeting from Sully. He saw me pull up, park and I waved outside the window. No reaction from Sully whatsoever. He watched me, but no barking and no excitement. Hey Buddy, are you feeling okay? Then, I opened the front door and Sully shot out like a rocket, still no barking. I did get a couple of kisses in the truck. Nosehill was lots of fun and Sully had a big grin the entire time. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and may pees. Runner: Michelle 'Sir' Sully is here! It is always exciting when Sully is around. He is the life of the party, for sure. On the topic of parties, there were many doggy outings. Time was spent with DGR dogs Ennis, Marley B,, Huxley - his main man, Aoife, and his sweetheart Patti. There is something about my backseat that these two love to cuddle. I have a feeling he may sleep all of tomorrow, just to recoup from this past week. After daytimes filled with play and walks, Sully and Henry (my husband) had several in depth conversations. Just look at Sully’s face intently listening. And then….time to snooze. Sully you are one colourful character. We love your enthusiasm for life.
Pet Sitter: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.9 km DURATION: 1 hour 32 minutes The Apple Dumpling Gang was back together for a Halloween Crawler. Huxley, Sully and I zipped over to Nosehill. We met Miss Marley and Aoife, who of course got their chauffeur (Henry) to drive them over. Yes, it was a crisp 1 degree and the girls preferred a warm ride to the party station. Huxley & Sully had a fabulous tussle with a big stick as we crept into Nosehill. A tad bit of a spooky grey morning today. Lots of fun on the trails. These dogs love any reason to get together and have a party. Time to dream of all those Halloween treats they are entitled to. Remember NO chocolate! It is not good for the stomach. The Doggy Business Report: all the dogs had many pees. Huxley had 2 poops, Sully had 1 and Miss M had 1 poop too. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 27 minutes The gang is back together again. We had sunshine steps at Nosehill with Patti Cakes, Silly Sully, Momma Marley and Aoife. This pack is starting to get a ‘following’ on the hill. One of the regulars we meet on our walks was so pleased with our pack's magic. One of her dogs can be nervous. When he saw our pack, his tail started to wag and he had the best-relaxed energy. All the pup's tails wagged. I am one very happy dog owner and one very proud DGR dog runner with my All-Stars with paws.🐾 I learnt after taking Patti home that she is not eating that much, which explained her lower energy. I hope you devour your lunch this afternoon sweetheart. The Doggy Business Report: Patti had 2 poops, Sully had 1 poop. Marley had a few pees as did the other pups. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 6.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 49 minutes The ‘Happy Gang’ was out & about again today. This pack consisted of 8 happy faces. 3 humans and 5 canines. Sully, Huxley and I ran over and met Henry, Noah (our nephew visiting from the UK) Ennis, Marley B., and Aoife at the Tuscany off-leash area. The happy faces when everyone united were electric. We had two mountain bikers call us the ‘Happy Gang’. When these canine friends get together they make sure fun is that be had🐾. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 1 poop and many pees. Sully had 1 poop and many pees. Ennis had 1 poop and several pees. Marley B. had a few pees Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 5.2 km DURATION: 1 hour 25 minutes I know that dogs understand what we say to them. Ennis is staying at our house and last night I said “Tomorrow we are going to a puppy party.” Ennis was so excited he woke me up at 5:30 a.m to get this party started. Today’s Pup Party Pack consisted of Patti, Sully, Aoife and of course Ennis. The cool wind could not dampen these pup's spirits. Just like humans, they love a good party too. The Doggy Business Report: 2 poops for Sully and Patti. All the dogs had a couple of pees. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 8.5 km DURATION:1 hour 21 minutes I think I was missed? The welcome from each Blonde Boy was very excitable❤️. Huxley did not disappoint, I even got a few extra hugs. It took Sully a minute or two to realize it was Aunty Michelle. When we hit the park Sully was over the moon to have Huxley with him. He was like a toddler on a sugar rush (translation he thought I was Ruth, wink wink). We took about 15 - 20 minutes to slow things down and go back on-leash. Huxley zoomed around and would check in on us walkers. After a poop Sully was ready to party on. A great run in the crisp sunshine. The Blonde Boyzz are back!! The Doggy Business Report: each dog had 1 poop. Lots of pees for each pup. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.2 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute I wish everyone greeted me like Sully does! He was so excited and ready to go! We ran around the neighbourhood looking for pumpkins. There are so many out already. Halloween is my favourite season, I love checking out everyone's Halloween decorations. Then, down to the gully and across Bow Trail to the river. And then back home, I remembered to give Sully his cookies. He sat so nicely and waited for them. Thanks for the run Sully. The Scoop: 1 poop, 7 pees. Runner: Michelle W. DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.1 km. DURATION: 1 hour 18 minutes Sully is an absolute pop of energy! He came flying to door to greet me, ran back through the house to get a stuffy for me and then zoomed around a bit more before settling down. I waited patiently by the door until he was ready to go. A couple of scratches and we headed down to the gully; chasing the fall colours and city views. I thought if I ran up the hill by the golf course we might burn off some energy. It worked! He slowed down to my pace. We stopped for a big water break at the top of the hill and headed home at a slower pace. Thanks for the cardio workout Sully! The Scoop: 1 poop, 7 pees. Runner: Michelle W. DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 7.4 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute Two in a row! I think Sully was confused to see me 2 days in a row. He didn’t start barking at me until I called his name from outside as he watched me pull up from the front window. Either way, we took off running and surprisingly he wasn’t as interested in sniffing as he usually is! We got some photo ops, and just enjoyed each other's company. No issues with other dogs or bikes that passed us. His big smile got some smiles from everyone that we passed on our trip. The Scoop: the usual 6 or 7 pees and 1 poop. Runner: Brad What a summer, hey Sully? We had the pleasure of Sir Silly Sully coming to stay with us for a portion of August. The daily shenanigans between Sully and Aoife was like watching WrestleMania. After morning pees and breakfast, it was time to run like crazy after each other and then wrestle. Momma Marley would referee for a portion and then everything was fair game. Many playdates with a variety of friends and with his best pal Huxley. A surprise sleepover was thrown in with Huxley too. During the earlier part of August, the puppy pool got used lots. The past week or so, the temps were much cooler which Sully was very happy with! After his very active daily ’social calendar, you could find Sully snoring on the couch by 8:00 PM. Gotta love a guy that plays hard during the day Sully tried several times to get Alcott The Bunny to play with him and the stuffed toys. Needless to say, Sully amused Alcott too with his ‘happy’ spirit. Thank you so much for your Birthday gift Sully, as most of my family knows, I really don’t have much willpower. We enjoyed all the goodies even before my actual birthday. We miss you already Sully!! I know you are snuggled up to Mom & Dad right now.
