Hello Boys🐾. It is always great to see ’Kenny Bear & Smiley Sully’. A few raindrops fell on the first portion of our outing which does not faze Sully. Sully came out of the house with the determination he was going to break ALL speed limits😊. Hold on Michelle, here we go!! I admired the thought and determination! By 2K, Sully’s tongue was almost dragging on the ground. Okay Sullivan, it time to walk a bit. That’s Sully Motto ” Live Big”. I know Sully was just as happy as Kenny was when we got back home. It was now Kenny Bear's turn and Sully could rest and cool down. Kenny & I strolled over to the playground and found lots of enticing smells. Why rush, when life is perfect at this speed. The Doggy Business Report: Kenny had 1 poop & 5 pees. Sully had 2 poops and lots of pees.

Have you seen cuter faces than these two?? Such a great time today! Sully and I ran 5k first then Kenny walked 1K. They both get so excited to go out! They loved sniffing this particular bush that's blooming. It is interesting why animals are attracted to some smells in particular. It was a bit misty out during my run with Sully but it felt refreshing! Sully kept a good pace! Kenny also worked out as hard as he could ! That sweet fella is too adorable going up the stairs; cautious and strategic. I am thankful for a nice outing! I am feeling blessed to spend time with them today! Kenny had 1 poop, 4 pees. Sully had 1 poop, 5 pees.

Oh, it was my lucky day today!! First off, I was ahead of schedule between appointments, so I chose to check in to see if I could spend an extra bit of time with King Kenny & Sir Sully😊. Sully and I headed over to Optimist Athletic Park where there is a great off-leash area on the way. The trees shade you so well at Optimist Park. I must say Sully was pretty excited to get back into the air-conditioned house. (Me too on that note). Kenny’s turn next. We did a nice square block from his home and kept to the shady side of the street. Lots of smells for Kenny and it is always a plus when you get to take your time in good company. The Doggy Business Report: Both boys had 1 poop each and Sully lots of pees. Kenny had 5 pees.

Today, I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Kenny and Sully again! I definitely needed some dog running time - I got lost for about an hour (thanks construction) before I made it there. One minute in their smiling company and it was all worth it! I hadn't seen these boys since January, and boy has Sully ever matured! I remember an energetic Lab full of what I call 'puppy power', and today I was met with a wonderful, steady, and easy-going running partner! I guess the Lab puppy stage is 3 years? Maybe the weather was too warm? Whatever the reason, Sully was an absolute star today and I was sad to see our hour end. We zig-zagged around the neighbourhood so I wouldn't get lost (again) and he happily ran by my side, regardless of other dogs, people, and squirrels. Sticks however were another story - he is a stick fanatic! Once we did 5km, I went back for Kenny. Old dogs just tug at my heart, and while we could only go up and down the block instead of our km we did in January, the smile on his face told me it was perfect. He sniffed whatever his heart desired because when you've spent 12 years of being a good dog, you deserve to sniff what you want! We went back to the yard for some off-leash time, but he was ready to head inside for water so I topped the boys' water dishes up, gave them last minute pre-nap pets, and was off. Thanks for the lovely hour boys! I hope you each had a great time! Sully - 1 poop, 5 pees. Kenny - no poop, 3 pees.

So I honestly was not in the mood for yet another run
(4th time out) today but look at Sully's face and how could I resist. He did so well and we had a blast cruising through Killarney. I think he really likes the one-on-one time and I was happy to give him lots of attention. I think I got him a bit tired so I can sneak out to my son's junior high grad. The Scoop: 2 pees.

Slow, steady and joyful are the three adjectives that described Mr. Kenny. Kenny and Sully are staying at my home for a few days so I decided to break up their run a bit. I am also giving each of the brothers their own blog today. So while Sully got backyard play-time with my dog Teddy, older brother Kenny and I just did a 1K loop around the block to smell lilacs and grass. Don't worry, Sully, you get an afternoon run with me after I meet a new DGR dog named Arcee and run her. Kenny's Scoop: 3 pees.

I rounded up the boys, said hello to Biggles who was bathing in the sun, and headed straight to Edworthy. We parked in the very first parking lot because there was no time to waste... well, it was more like, there was no time in the sun to waste. I brought along a ball for Sully which was briefly lost within the first two minutes upon arrival. I retrieved the ball that Sully abandoned in the tall grass and Kenny and I followed him as he wandered along the trails. Today, I gave Sully my hardest throws whenever I actually got the ball because he was mainly trying to play keep away from me. My heart stopped at one point today: when Sully took a dip in a brown-water watering hole. I screamed on the inside and I'm pretty sure Kenny shook his head. "Time to dry off, Sully," I thought as I hurled the ball into the tall dry grass. Great outing today boys! 1 poo each, many pees each.

These two Labs never fail to make my day. It has been a while since I have had the pleasure of Kenny & Sully’s company. It was necessary to make up for lost time. Mom & Dad arranged for the ’Boys’ to spend the whole day together at my house. What do you do when it is Sunday, and you have great company?....Spend it on the patio.!!!Kenny & Sully dipped their toes in the doggy pool. Well, Kenny did. Sully thundered through the doggy pool in true Sully style and then got the zoomies out doing laps around the garden🤣. We made Kenny a comfy cabana bed and he was in heaven. Sully accompanied me to Nose Hill to show off his ball-catching skills. I must say when we got back, Sully just flopped down on the floor with a rather loud boom. A tired Sully is a great achievement. King Kenny strolled our local off-leash space and took in all the scents. We headed back home after dinner and had a quick ’doggy business’ walk. Then, they fell asleep all tucked in at home. I bet Sully was snoring😴.

The pups didn't get the memo about the poor air quality and still needed to go outside so that's what we did! Both boys were so good and so sweet today. It was like they were saying " thank you for still taking us out!" I took Sully out first. We jogged slowly so it was not too hard on the lungs to process the air. There were a couple of squirrels on the way and I didn't see them but he started to chase and I was like, where is he taking me!!😂 . He loved rolling in the grass and sniffing flowers! 1 poop and 4 pees for Sully. Kenny's turn was next! We took our time and walked at his pace! He also enjoyed sniffing the grass and the flowers. Kenny did about 1 km or a little less of the walk. He decided not to chase squirrels and save energy for the walk! Kenny had 1 poop and 5 pees. They both are so sweet and when I took them back they were looking at me with sweetest eyes like " what fun is next?" I gave them a dose of loving, told them how good they were, and then left feeling happy from great time spent!

It has been a bit of time since my last Kenny and Sully outing so I was pretty jazzed to see the boys and I think the feeling was mutual. Kenny and I took a leisurely pace around a few city blocks. He reminded me of Comedian Tim Conway who did the funniest old man shuffle, When it was Sully's turn, we had to practice some leash manners as he was really excited to see me. I am happy to report he clued in quickly and was a perfect gentleman. We went to Luke's Drug Mart to see if they had soft serve ice-cream but they did not have any so we will have to wait until our next outing. Kenny and Sully both got a ice dental treat instead. The Scoop: 1 poo for Kenny and both boys had several pees.

Well well well Sully, we meet again. There are no words that I can use to express how I feel about this. None. Anyhow, Kenny, it was a pleasure seeing you. The years definitely have nothing on you, old sport. We should go to the driving range next weekend and tee up some balls. It was an enjoyable walk. 1 poo each, and so many pees. Here's some photos of Sully flipping out.

We had a nice cooling breeze for our run. It was a bit overcast. Sully ran well, walked better, and was in a generally cheery mood. When we got Kenny to join us, we did our small loop around the block, which was pleasant. All in all, a good day. 1 poo for Sully, many pees for each dog.

Easy does it. These are my 3 tips for running Sully effectively:
1. Start slow. If you go out hard, not only will you burnout, but you'll also burnout Sully. In addition, Sully needs to get his pees out of the way before you can find a good pace. Stop and starts are a really drain.
2. Keep Sully roadside of the sidewalk at the start. It's hard to find a groove when running, especially if there are a lot of distraction as Sully will tell you. Until you find your pace, keep Sully on the roadside where there are little distractions.
3. Slow and steady wins the race. Even once you found you pace, keep it mellow. Make sure you go the distance rather than try and hit a certain pace.
Anyways, thanks for listening. No poops for either dog. Many pees for each.

Here we go. I started off with a 5K with Sully. We held a nice pace; not quite as fast as last week with the heat, but still pretty quick. All in all, it was a nice little loop. Then we came back and collected Kenny to do our post-run meandering around the block. Every place Kenny marked, Sully would mark. Suffice it to say, we weren't moving at neck-breaking speeds. Anyways, great work guys. Cheers! 1 poo for Sully, lots of pees for both.

Wow! My first time running Sully in awhile and by God, he sure has improved. That five km was easy peasy. I am thoroughly impressed. It was also nice seeing you Kenny, you old man. Today's run was really nice and the warm weather complimented it nicely. I'll see you guys next week. Cheers! No poos, many pees each.
