![]() DISTANCE: 6.38 km . DURATION: 53:26 Kaylee was ready to run this chilly morning as she grinned a doggy grin from the second we started. We tried our best to stay warm early on in our adventure by running in the sun, which was blindingly bright, but soon we were nice and toasty and I got pretty sweaty. I learned just how great of a running partner Kaylee is today. She matched my pace throughout the whole run and didn't pull one single time. Close to the end our our run, Kaylee had to cool off. She found a fresh patch of snow and practically dove head first into it. Well. that's one way to do it. Good job today Kaylee! 0 poo, 5 pees. Runner: Ryan

![]() DISTANCE: 6.18 km . DURATION: 1:02:33 We finally had a reasonable temperature to run in and Kaylee and I enjoyed the day. There was lots of of excited bouncing when I got there but after a couple of kilometres, we were right in step. It was a little slippery for me but Kaylee’s four wheel drive made it easy. Six pees and no poops. Runner: Bob ![]() DISTANCE: 6.18 km DURATION: 1:00:22 The paths were slippery this morning for Kaylee and me so we took slow wide turns and made sure we stayed upright. All good! We had a number of squirrel visits as they were out in force this morning. Kaylee did a couple of full body cool-downs in the snow and a few mouthfuls as well. I met Kaylee’s fur sibling friend at the house and they both had a treat. Four pees and no poos. Runner: Bob ![]() DISTANCE: 6.65 km . DURATION: 1:03:36 Wow, that was a windy snowy morning but Kaylee loved it all. We plowed through the new snow and Kaylee did a number of nose plants and rolls to cool down. A very quick rabbit got her attention and as soon as he left then it was squirrel time. Three pees and no poos. Runner: Bob ![]() DISTANCE: 6.26 km . DURATION: 1:01:45 It was a nice crisp morning which is perfect for a Golden Retriever! Kaylee was very excited to start the morning and I got an enthusiastic greeting at the door. We took it easy on the pathway which was really slippery but we managed to come home safely. Today's focus was practicing our heels and Kaylee is really getting it. Four pees and no poops. Runner: Bob ![]() DISTANCE: 5.05 km . DURATION: 49:27 It was a brisk morning for Kaylee and me. My phone froze up with about 10 minutes to go so I had to sit and warm it up before the notes. Kaylee flushed out a rabbit which got all of her attention. The rabbit headed on his way and we went ours. No harm done and it put a little extra stride to our run. Two pees and no poos, and a snack for Kaylee to finish. Runner: Bob ![]() DISTANCE: 9.08 km. DURATION: 1:03:53 Good morning Kaylee! Happy New Year! Wanna come over to my house? Well, if the speed with which she jumped up into my truck is any indication, her answer was, "You bet!" We came to my house to reunite her with Juno. They both couldn't contain how happy they were to see each other again. So our happy trio headed out into the chinook for a morning run. Regardless of how we looked in reality, this is how the scene played out in my head. The warm wind is blowing our hair back and we all kept grinning at each other. We are running, in slow motion of course, and the song So Happy Together is playing in the background. We cut from various scenes of our run, pathways, neighbourhoods, to the occasional stops for snow snacks that both dogs needed to our cool down walk back to my house. The dogs were tired, and wet from the quickly melting snow, but very happy. They hop into my truck looking very satisfied with the run. As they should be! The director's scene clapboard would snap. "Cut! End Scene! That's a wrap!" Scoop: only pees for Kaylee. Runner: Tammy ![]() DISTANCE: 6.82 km . Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way, Oh what fun it was to run, with Kaylee today, Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way, Oh what fun it was to sniff along the fray. Merry Christmas Kaylee - pal and family Well that was my DGR last run for 2018!! Thanks for a great year Ruth and Tammy! Cheers to 2019 Doggie Business: a few pees. Runner;: Liz ![]() DISTANCE: 7.01 km . DURATION: 58:51 Run run Rudolph..... Yeah, it’s a catchy song but it perfectly described my mood today. Dry pathways, nice temperature, and tons of energy. You know those days when you feel you can go for it and run forever. Well, that was my mood this morning and boy did we run. The river valley was the place to be ....... did someone say squirrel? Time to go! Run run Kaylee ...... it’s gotta nice ring to it don’t you think? Maybe I’ll rewrite the song. Doggie Business: 4 pees and no poop. Runner: Liz ![]() DISTANCE: 5.65 km . DURATION: 1:05:51 Hey mom, I finally figured out what you can get me for Christmas this year!! Who doesn’t want their very own Kaylee look-a-like lawn ornament with flashing lights. How cool is that!! 😎 I was inspired on my walk this morning when this little White Terrier was barking it’s head off and trying to project itself through the front window. Clearly, the poor thing thought I was trying to make off with his likeness on the front lawn. All I wanted was a cool selfie with the cute little dude and reference photo for my Christmas list. Chill little one; it’s all good. Hugs for the holidays Kaylee. XOXOXO. The Scoop: 4 pees, no poops. Runner: Liz ![]() DISTANCE: 6.69 km DURATION: 1:00:40 Another stellar run with my furry pal. She is so excited when I show up; it warms my ❤️. Speaking of warm, the spectacular temperature was responsible for the icy sidewalks but the spectacular temperature allowed for forgiveness for the ice and allowed us to appreciate how overall amazing November weather has been!! We have had some really nice runs this month and today was no different. We went in the direction of the Douglas Fir and were not disappointed by the beauty there this time of the year. When I see Kaylee next week, it will already be December. How did that happen? It was an amazing day as Kaylee had a poop!!! And, of course, some pees. Runner: Liz ![]() DISTANCE: 7.40 km DURATION: 59:23 The last time Kaylee and I ran together, the weather was well above 20 degrees, and I recall wearing a tank top. I put on my gloves and head band for today’s run, and was eager to reunite with this tail-wagging gal. Kaylee and I had an absolute blast exploring Marda Loop and Altadore. There is something about the atmosphere in Marda Loop, where all the old houses have turned into small shops. Not only did we have a hoot together, but we got quite a great workout in too! Up and down the steep hills, Kaylee and I felt our legs burning. Towards the end of the run, we trotted home, easing our pace. As we arrived at her front door, Kaylee did not want to go inside yet, so we sat down on the front step for some extra love and kisses. I have missed you sweet girl. 1 poop and 3 pees. Runner: Jaime ![]() DISTANCE: 6.63 km DURATION: 56:33 Did somebody say Spring is here?! You'd think so based on the way Kaylee was feeling this morning. She had more bounce to the ounce than the Jack Rabbits that rule our city. It was hard to tell who was running who at times. It was a reminder that being around people, or animals, that have tons of good energy just makes you feel better. And Kaylee seemed to take her normal high energy to a whole new level this morning. Perhaps it was the Spring-like conditions, but no matter, I'm grateful for Kaylee this morning, you energized me for the day. You go girl. They don't call it Dog Gone Running for nothing. Poops: nil. Pees: 3. Runner: Liz ![]() DISTANCE: 7.38 km DURATION: 1:01:38 What a gem Kaylee is. She was so playful in the snow and was so happy to greet me. She was jumping up and licking my chin. She is an an angel to run and I have never seen someone so happy to run! She kept a good pace for both of us and lead the way. She sure wants to go! When I would adjust my knee brace, she would come over and sniff to ensure I was okay. She is such a caring pup. The scoop: 100 pees and no poos, Runner: Eve ![]() DISTANCE: 7.96 km DURATION: 1:00:57 Kaylee is one smart dog don’t ya know. She knows the difference between a fake witch and a real witch!! She happily sat close to the fake scary witch but when we ran by a teacher going to school in her all black witch costume she was very concerned and cautious. I will say it again; she’s one smart puppy. Other than that minor brush with Halloween, all was quiet on the streets this a.m. Kaylee did show up in costume today as herself- aka squirrel and bird catcher. And like every other outing was not successful in her attempts to catch the prize. Phew!! 😅 Hope you get lots of visitors tonight Kaylee and give the kids your big smile. No poop again and a few quick pees. Runner: Liz |
