DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3 ![]() DISTANCE: 3.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 6 minutes Goooood Morning Chicklets. Today I had to make it a special walk for Miss Pink and Kaiser. No place better than Nosehill. We get the great Calgary skyline views and get to enjoy the sunshine. Pink & Kai are trading these environmental delights for sand, lakes and wine. The wine is for Mom & Dad. Pink now has the title of Cardio Queen! She conquered those hills like a pro. I think that little snooze in the vehicle before had helped🤣. Kaiser was Sir Romeo️️. Everyone we met had to be greeted by Romeo AND throw his ball. This then also followed with lots of compliments. All of us at DGR will miss you two pups and your humans. Happy new adventures. The Doggy Business Report: both pups had 1 poop each. Lots of pees by both.. Runner: Michelle

DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 2.8 km DURATION: 1 hour 2 minutes Good Morning Chicklets. I was all excited to see Pink & Kaiser this morning. I thought my excitement level was pretty high. Let's just say compared to Kai’s, I was lukewarm.🤣These two just make you feel. the love. Pink took her co-pilot seat and just knew we must be going to Edworthy. Kaiser was back and forth and popping his head to the front to kiss me. Plus, to see ’have we arrived yet?’ As per usual, the Fur Kids received oodles of compliments. Pink, the Social Coordinator, was totally fine when a Black Lab pup fancied Kaiser more than her. No puppy slobber on me, please. Kaiser looked at me to tell me that pup just kissed me!!️ Halfway through our walk, Kai lost interest in his orange ball. He abandoned it for a well-used tennis ball. Really? Okay, two balls coming home. The Doggy Business Report: only Pink pooped once. Many pees for both pups. Runner: Michelle Hello Chicklets - it was a bit of a Frosty Friday when I arrived. ️ I am always guaranteed a generously warm greeting from Kaiser & Pink. Guess what Fur Kids? We are spending the weekend together. On Friday night, Kaiser & Pink chased each other. This was the first time I have really seen them play like that. Kaiser instigated it with his ‘play with me" Grrr. Pink was in her bed and must have been feeling spunky. She gave him a good run around for about 15-20 minutes. On Saturday, we hit the park once it warmed up and before it started to cool down. It is sometimes a bit of Calgary Weather Roulette. I have an extra large ball that I keep in the back of the Jeep. It is a Kai-sized ball. He seem to know exactly where it is and jumps in and goes rooting for it. Unfortunately, we lost the Kai-sized ball this adventure and it was not even at the half-way point. Kai checked out every person who had an orange ball to see if it was his. One little boy felt sorry for Kai when he found out that his ball was gone. I am not sure what he said to Kai, but Kai gave him a big wet kiss. LOL!! Back home when it was cuddle time, Pinky loved to snuggle right up on my lap. At night time, she positioned herself where my knees bent or close to my chest. In the morning when Kai woke up and jumped on the bed, he thought he wanted to lie on my chest. “Good Morning Michelle” and Kai only 5 inches away from my nose. Hmmm Kai - there is a small weight difference between you and your sister!! Squish. These two Chicklets are always so entertaining and I just love their personalities. The "Go Big" in that department. Sunday came way too soon. Xo Xo. Please text Aunty M. the next time you want a sleepover.
Pet Sitter: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY #4 ![]() DISTANCE: 2.65 km DURATION1 hour 1 minute Today I had the pleasure of Miss Pink & Mr. Sociable (Kaiser’s) company. The day was a fantastic long weekend Sunday. We went to Edworthy and these two are like magnets to people. Kids, adults and seniors all want to pet and talk to Kaiser and Pink. Kaiser soaks it all up. Plus, he leaves a little slobber behind as a souvenir.😂 Pink is like a movie star. You can look and admire but don't touch.😍Hope to see you two real soon. We always have so much fun. The Doggy Business Report: lots of pees for both dogs. No poops. Runner: Michelle I am going on a ‘StayCation’ with my pals - Pink & Kaiser. We had a fun time hanging out at their new home. Pink was my lap warmer and Kai was my feet warmer. Not that we really needed warming over the bright sunny long weekend we spent together. The cuddlebugs were great to be around. The best was TV time. I got my fix of Christmas in July specials! I was so happy, because the Fur Kids did not mind at all watching these. I had to laugh when a dog would come on the screen - both Pink and Kaiser would bark and acknowledge the ‘visual intruder’. Ha Ha. Pink & Kaiser showed me their new neighbourhood and I can see why these two are so fit. There are lots of hills!! We did our long walks in the morning, when it was a bit cooler. I have to give big Kudos to Pink, she has to have drops put in her ear X 2 a day. No dog likes this and they shake shake shake. Pink takes it like a pro - and she does not shake her head. What a dream! I found myself having long conversations with Kaiser. When you talk to him, his head tilts and looks like he is listening to you so enthusiastically. I am going to miss the cuddles and the happy little faces in the morning. So much fun with two great pups filled with character. I am glad that their Aunty Jaime was on holidays and I got to fill in.
Pet Sitter: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 2.6 km DURATION: 58 minutes I was woken this lovely morning with a cute little Rottweiler face bopping my hand. Good Morning Kaiser. Hello, Miss Pink. Here she comes; scurrying from under the covers. These two were ready for their walk this morning. Nosehill (14 Street entrance) was the destination of choice. I think Kai & Pink could tackle some hill work with all their Sunday energy. Got to love Pink's smile in the Jeep on the way up. Kaiser was obviously missing some ’boy time’. We got out of the Jeep and he went straight up to a man sitting on the bench and soaked up some admiration. Pink was just fine hanging with me. Girl Power. When we finished our last hill - Kaiser noticed a man walking over on the path. Kaiser could just tell this guy was going to give him extra attention. I did prewarn the man that Kaiser maybe a tad slobbery. This guy just lit up when Kaiser came towards him. The man gave him a big hug and asked if he could throw his ball. As you can imagine, Kai was delighted with his new friend. Hey Kaiser, what are Pink and I?? Not getting the male vibe I guess from us🤣. When you look at the picture of Pink and Kaiser walking back think slooooooooow motion. Sunday Siesta time later for sure. The Doggy Business Report: Pink had 2 poops and Kaiser had 1. Many pees for both pups. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY #4 ![]() DISTANCE: 2.4 km DURATION: 59 minutes Good Morning Calgary!!! Wake Up lazy heads. Pink & Kaiser have arrived at Edworthy Park. These two were ready for fun. Pink announced our arrival and Kaiser headed straight for the tall grass with his Kai-sized orange ball. Kaiser made a couple of humans stop and watch the ’Kaiser Show.’ Did he lose his ball? No, I think he found it. Wow, look at him bound through the grass. I think he has lost it this time. Nope. He is amazing. This was a sample of their commentary. They must have watched him for 5-10 minutes. Pink made a new friend just her size; (a little Poodle). They ran and chased each other. With all this fun, there were a few rests stops. That's what Saturdays are all about. The Doggy Business Report: Pink had 2 poops and multiple pees. Kaiser had 1 poop and many pees. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 3.1 km DURATION: 1 hour 9 minutes Come on handsome, let's go have some fun. There were 3 major points today on Kaiser and my adventure. #1. Look at that cute bum!! Kaiser always has to check out the doggy bed in the back of the Jeep. 🤣 #2. Whatever Doggy Logs shows as distance add another 2 km to that. I brought a ’Kai Size Chuck-it’ today and he covered sooooo much distance. We did need to take a few rests from all that fun. #3. OMG Kaiser is a social magnet. Dogs & people all wanted to say ’Hi’. Kaiser made at least a dozen new friends from Whippets, Jack Russell Terriers, Doodles, Labs etc. They came and said hi. We missed not having Pink with us but I promised to make it up this weekend.🐾 The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop, several pees and one full water bottle consumed. Runner: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3 ![]() DISTANCE: 3.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes Hello Chicklets, I am soo happy to see you both. Kaiser was Kaiser and he greeted me in his traditional energetic shelf. Miss Pink took her time, but she came into her groove after 10 minutes. I get it, it has been a really long time. We aimed for shade because the lunch hour was warm 🔅. We passed by a school where some preschoolers were having fun in the sun. Kaiser did a ’Stop-Plop and Watch’. He was so interested in the kids he shifted the billboard attached to the fence. He just had to have a good look. After our walk, I ask Mom about this. Yep, he likes kids🐾😊. Miss Pink took charge of our walk when she was ready and I gave her the long leash. A leader must have all the bells and whistles, right Miss P. Great spending time with the Fur Kids. Tomorrow we have some fun in store. The Doggy Business Report: lots of pees for both pups. No poops today. Runner: Michelle |
