Our walk today was off to a slow start as we spent some time searching for one of Kai’s balls to bring to the park. “Mom” helped us find a brand-spanking new ball for our walk today, what a lucky boy! We were further delayed by “Mom” and I chatting, until all three pups had had enough and encouraged me out the door. Finally getting our walk going, we enjoyed a gorgeous day with the sun beating down on us. Thankfully, all of yesterday’s dew had dried up. We ran into a few other dogs along our path, one that Pink particularly got along with... I swear the two of them could have played for hours if the other dog’s owner and myself had not walked off in opposite directions. Kacie, Kai and Pink shared a full water bottle at the end of the walk and panted the whole car-ride home. I could tell today was a good day in their books (and mine too)! The Scoop: 1 poop for Kacie and Pink, and many pees for all three pups!

It has been a few weeks since I last saw my favourite trio and I was eagerly looking forward to our reunion this morning. As expected, Kaiser greeted me at the door with Pink and Kacie close behind. Within a matter of minutes, the four of us were back to our groove; peacefully wandering around the park. I had no idea the park would be so wet, drenching both my feet and Kai’s coat each time he laid down to rest. Pink was her usual bubbly self, bounding around and barking at her siblings whenever she wanted to play. Kacie showed off her famous smile throughout the walk, as the four of us enjoyed the refreshing summer morning. Not very much commotion to report from the off-leash today, other than a brief « hello » to a pair of adorable Shiba Inus. Today’s Scoop: 1 poop for Pink, 2 poops for Kacie, 0 poops for Kai and 5+ pees each.
I got to see some of my favourite pups Thursday night. I arrived right around dinner and the girls and Kai knew exactly what time it was. After dinner I took the girls for an evening walk around the block then went back to repeat with Kai. We had an early night and watch Netflix in bed. Cuddle party! Friday morning , we did another loop around the block before I had to dash to work. Michelle came by in the afternoon to take the dogs out again, then as soon as I got back from work we were off to the off-leash park for some much needed BALL! It was pretty toasty out so we didn't last long. When all dogs were lying in the shade I knew we were tired and it was home time! It was another early night for us. I could get used to this). Dinner and movies and another stroll for final pees before bed. Pinky and Kacie would always correct Kai anytime he got excited around me, thanks ladies! Saturday was hot out. I walked the girls to our old stomping ground (the OG off-leash) where I spent some quality time with Kacie and Pink. These two always make me smile. I love that Pink's mohawk is back in full force! Afterwards, Kaiser and I went for a long walk to the other park and played with the ball. Kai is so funny to watch run, he looks like an antelope bouncing in the long grass locating his ball lol. I have not seen a Rottweiler love the game of fetch so much! Sunday was a repeat of all our other days together, but my friend joined us on the morning walk. We had all three dogs and an iced coffee in hand. We walked zig-zags throwing the ball. Pink and Kai ran after it and Kacie slowly strolled beside me. We didn't encounter any dogs during any of our walks, which was surprising to me! all and all, I think we all enjoyed out weekend together!

I was so happy to be hanging out with this gang again! It's been a while. It was great to have a little cloud cover this morning to help keep the heat at bay and we all had a great time as a result! Kaiser was bouncing through the flowers like a jack rabbit, trying to keep up with his ball. His focus never waivers. Pinky floated between Kacie and Kaiser; checking in with everyone and sprinting after the ball. We made a nice loop around the park smelling the flowers, running through the grass, basically reenacting several Disney movie scenes lol. The Scoop: lots of pees for Kacie and Pink, a few for Kaiser. One poop for Kacie, none for the other two.

A quiet morning at the park meant we were free to roam and take any path of our choosing. We ran into two frequent park visitors that we often play with and also made two new friends today! Someone had camped overnight in the park and appeared to be just waking up, unzipping their tent. As all four of our ears turned, Kai darted towards the tent to give a warm Wakeup Call (thank goodness the man loved dogs or else this could have been a startling way to rise). At the green space portion of the park today, I was waiting for Kai to bring back his ball and decided to briefly sit on the grass. Within seconds, Kacie had jogged over to me and sat on my lap, making herself comfortable. Another fantastic outing with these 3! The scoop: 1 poop for Kacie and 1 poop for Pink, 3 pees for Kaiser, and too many pees to count for Kacie and Pink.

I woke up with very little energy today and was moving slowly as I got myself ready. After picking up the gang and making it to the off-leash park, we started our walk without knowing just how much we would accomplish. Today was one of our fastest walks, furthest distances and best adventures together. It is incredible what fresh air and the company of pups can do to boost your energy and get you moving! The four of us made it all the way around the park finally, doing the perimeter loop. ‘Mom’ was telling me that Kaiser has lost all of his bright, orange balls recently, thanks in part to the tall grass. This meant we were using a good ol’ tennis ball for today’s walk, which was even tougher to see amongst the greenery. It was a fun added challenge and Pink loved joining in to search for the ball when it went missing. Such a great time today, see you three tomorrow! The scoop: 2 poops for Pink, 1 poop for Kacie, and lots of pees for all three.

Happy Thursday to my favourite trio! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it is a perfect morning for an outing at the park. As soon as we arrived, Kacie was drawn to a dog walking close by, spending our first 10 minutes still within sight of the car. As we continued on, we ran into many friends at the off-leash; some old, some new. Pink seemed to be back to herself today, climbing my leg a few times during the walk for extra cuddles (melts my heart every time). After running into ‘mom’s’ friend and her dog Foxy, we spent the next 10 minutes of our walk with them, discussing Stampede and other western events around the city. Despite the long grass, swallowing up all three dogs at certain points in the walk, Kaiser could be located from his panting even 30 feet away. The four of us took a 5 minute break at the end of our walk to sit in some shade and enjoy a cool drink of water. The scoop: 1 poop for Kacie, and many pees for all three!

I heard that Miss Pink was not feeling too well this morning and even skipped breakfast. She still decided to join us on our walk but we made sure to take it easy and keep a close eye on our littlest team member. Kacie made up for Pink’s usual, spunky antics today, walking quickly, with a bit of a hop in her step. Pink got some extra love from a gentleman walking through the park and I think this really helped to lift her spirits. Kaiser was surprisingly fine with not having all of the attention today, taking time to relax often in the shade. Towards the end of our walk, we were pleasantly surprised with a quick 5 minute sun-shower, which refreshed us just in time to head home. The scoop: no poops today, just many pees for all three!

I put two pairs of socks on this morning, and threw an extra pair in my car, in anticipation for a rainy morning (and boy was I glad that I did). Driving over to pick up Kacie, Kaiser, and Pink, my windshield wipers couldn’t even keep up with the downpour that was hitting my car. Kai didn’t seem too upset about the stormy conditions. He was just thrilled to see someone there to take him out for his adventure. Kacie and Pink, on the other hand, gave me concerned looks as they reluctantly approached the cold breeze coming from the door. “I agree girls, today’s weather seems much more appropriate for an indoor movie day.” I said to my two brave gals. As I presumed, there was not a soul to be seen at the park. Our feet were soaked within seconds but that did not stop us from having a blast. Eventually, Pink grew tired of the fun and became too cold, so I scooped up her shivering body and we made a break for the car. The scoop: 1 poop for Kacie, 1 poop for Kai and 2+ pees each. It was a good thing we cut the walk short, as it took us almost 20 minutes to dry off!!

It’s Pink here, blogging from the off-leash park while DGR Runner Jaime continues to throw my brother’s ball for him. Our walk today was a blast! I mean, we always have a pretty good time but today I got some extra love and petting from a runner passing through the park, which was amazing! We also met a friend named Rosie, and unlike the rest of the dogs in this place, she didn’t outweigh me by 40 pounds. Kacie and I enjoyed one of the new treats in Jaime’s car today, and boy was it tasty!! I’m not sure why Kaiser doesn’t love treats the way we do... oh well, more for us! We heard that some people would be in our house after the walk and we were not allowed home just yet, so ‘mom’ is coming to pick us up from the park. There she is now, gotta go! The scoop: 1 poop for Kacie, 1 poop for Pink and multiple pees for K, K, and P.

I definitely could have used another towel after today’s walk with the trio. We must have gotten quite the downpour overnight at the off-leash park because the ground and all the surroundings were soaked! Kaiser was thriving with the wet conditions; cooling him off as he chased around his favourite orange ball. The weather had Pinky feeling feisty, barking at her sister to pick up the pace multiple times during our walk. Yesterday, I tried out my new runners but found they gave me a bit of knee pain so swapped back to my old runners today and I am positive that Kacie noticed! She stood and stared at my feet for almost a minute when we got out of the car, almost as if to ask ‘what happened to the new shoes?’. These three sure keep me on my toes. The scoop: 2 poops for Kacie, 1 poop for Pink, and lots and lots of pees for all three.
DISTANCE: 2.65 km DURATION: 59:54
Good morning K, K and P! Ready to hit the off-leash park? As usual, the answer was a unanimous “YES”. We were thrilled to see the sun shining high in the sky and could not wait to get our bodies moving around the park. We ran into our friend Luna again today, along with her puppy sibling. Kaiser decided to claim Luna’s ball as his own, although he was not sure how to manage both balls at once. After reluctantly giving Luna her ball back, we continued on our journey. Pink was looking her best today, with a fresh haircut. She made sure that Kacie stayed with us throughout the entire walk. I love watching their sisterly bond. The scoop: 1 poop for Kacie, 1 poop for Pink, and many pees for all three!

I woke up today to pouring rain, thunder, and bright lightning - talk about a wake-up call... I crossed my fingers that the stormy weather would leave the four of us alone long enough to get our walk in. The only other brave souls out at the park today were a Black Lab named Luna and a Yellow Lab puppy that we never caught the name of. Kacie was smitten by the Yellow Lab and his squeaky toy; wanting to continue the walk with him and his owner, rather than follow me and her siblings. Towards the end of the walk, it started to lightly rain again but nothing to worry about. If we could describe today’s walk in one word, it would have to be ‘soggy’ - particularly in Kaiser’s case, as he ran through as much tall grass as possible, giving himself repeated showers. We saved some time at the end to ensure we could dry our paws (and bodies). The scoop: 1 poop each and at least 2 pees each!
DISTANCE: 1.84 km DURATION: 54:19
Another beautiful morning for the books! The four of us made our way to our stomping grounds (the off-leash park), and got pumped up for some ball-fetching, butterfly-chasing, grass-rolling FUN! Our energetic start slowly faded with the hot sun, and our pace began to dwindle. With multiple stops to hydrate and rest in the shade, we took our time today, enjoying the park to ourselves. We thought the grass was long last week but it is growing faster than any grass I’ve ever seen before! Pink was covered entirely today by the tall grass, camouflaging herself multiple times. What a lovely summer walk with this trio. The scoop: 1 poop for Kacie and 1 poop for Pink. Multiple pees for Kacie, Kaiser and Pink.
DISTANCE: 2.45 km DURATION: 54:57
I could hear barking as I came around Kacie, Kaiser, and Pink’s house this morning, knowing I had been spotted. The crew was eagerly waiting my arrival so that we could head to the park and get up to our usual shenanigans. We ran into our friend Aspen, and met a new pal ‘Briar’ who jumped out of the bushes, startling Kacie and me momentarily. After only 10 minutes of walking, Pink was panting and with the sun beating down, 16 degrees felt more like 24 degrees. Nothing warms us up quite like the summer sun, hey gals and guy? (Or shall I say, gals and Kai?). We spent lots of time in the shade today, enjoying the breeze and swatting away the mosquitoes. The scoop: 2 poops for Kacie, 1 poop for Pink, 0 poops for Kai, and many pees for all!
