Two outings in one week with Kacie, Kaiser, and Pink? How lucky am I? We were out the door quicker than ever today, as we practically have our routine down. Kacie had quite a bit of pep in her step today; jogging often and keeping up with the group for most of the walk. I am thinking the nicer weather had something to do with this... We met two friends at the park during today’s adventures. We did not catch the name of our first friend, but he enjoyed being chased around by Pink and nuzzling with Kacie. The other pup, named Clifford, ran after Kaiser’s ball while I threw it over and over again. Thanks to you three for being so well-behaved and kind to everyone. Today was one of my easier days as a dog runner at the off-leash, some might even call it ‘a walk in the park’. Pees for all, 2 poops for Kacie, 1 poop for Pink, and 1 poop for Kai.

It looks like Runkeeper is ‘teleporting’ us again, causing a wonky map, but that will not take away from today’s triumphs. Finally, it is starting to warm up a bit outside and the four of us managed to last significantly longer than during last week’s outing. The park was rather quiet, giving us room to roam. Kaiser was thrilled to be chasing his ball through large mounds of snow, as losing it beneath the snow turned into a ball-hunting game. Kacie made sure to get her daily dose of cuddles at every stop we made. For the most part we kept moving, stopping twice to put Pink’s boot back on, thanks to the tall snow. As Pinky began to show signs of getting cold, we changed directions and aimed for the car. Kai got one last ball toss before hopping in the car, as we said goodbye to the park for today. One poop each and many pees for all three!

With another cold day, ‘mom’ and I decided today would be a short walk. Before leaving the house, we snapped a few pictures in the warmth of the house, as I knew taking pictures would not be a priority when we got outside. Kaiser was eager to get to the park today... so eager that when we loaded up in the car, and I walked around to the driver’s side to get in, he had climbed from the second row into the driver’s seat, with paws on the wheel ready to roll. « I am going to need to see a license if you are hoping to operate this vehicle buddy » I said to my slobbering friend. After he hopped into the back, we made our way to the park for our short and sweet walk. The park was silent, and the only people around were transit-users walking through. Pinky befriended one lady walking through, who complimented how quickly she could run despite having booties on. As Kacie began to lift her paws, and Pink started to shake, I knew it was time to turn around and make a break for the car. Fingers crossed for nicer weather next week, as we have some distance to make up! Pees and poos for everyone!

Happy chilly Wednesday, K K & P! Let's get those booties on stat; you'll need 'em today! It took a little convincing for the girls that the park was a good idea this morning. Both took one look outside and ran right back upstairs... don't blame them! But with some sweet talk, squeaking of the ball, and some treats we were off! We had two missions today, keep warm and poops for all! As soon as we got there, I threw the ball as far as I could and get that blood pumping. Kacie and I chased after Kaiser and Pink as they raced each other to the orange dot in the snow. We did this over and over for a good 20 minutes. This way, everyone got their runs in. And nothing like some swift movements to get the bodily functions moving! About five throws in the three had achieved one of two goals, now let's get warm! We raced each other into the trees and through the various paths! It was a beautiful day despite the cold; nothing beats a sunny day at the park. We lasted about 35 minutes, by this time our feet were cold and we were tuckered out. Us girls were shivering but Kai, on the other hand, he was steaming and rolling around in the snow! Such a goof! Hopefully, our short park trip did these three some good; I know I needed a good dose of some fresh air! Thanks, gang, see you guys next week. The scoop: poops and pees for all!

It took us four an extra five minutes or so getting ready today, as we all had to get our coats on, and mentally prepare for the wind chill awaiting us. On the drive over to the park, we discussed how today’s walk would be a bit shorter than usual, and that we would call it quits as soon as it became too cold for us too bear. Pinky kept warm by bounding constantly, not allowing herself to stop and get cold (also making it tricky to snap a picture of her today when normally she is a natural model). Kacie stuck by my side throughout the walk; nuzzling up to my leg whenever we stopped, for that extra bit of warmth. Then there was Kai... I don’t think Kaiser even noticed the drop in temperature, or the snow covering his face. He maintained steady focus on his orange ball, and does not let much distract him from it. The only other sign of life in the off-leash park today was a pack of various dogs with 2 walkers. We said hello, and played for a few minutes with these pups as we crossed paths. One of the walkers complimented Kaiser, and I think he understood, as he sat back with his head held high, almost smiling. The cold began to set in so we hustled back to the car (and the butt warmers that come with it). Pees for all, 2 poops for Kai, 2 poops for Pink, and 1 poop for Kacie.

Happy Hump Day, Gang!! Finally, a warm morning for a stroll through the park. Let's go!! Well, I knew the day would come, the day when Kai lost his ball.. Unfortunately for Kai, I had no idea that the ball fell out as he jumped into my car. When we arrived, he gave me the "WTF" look, and I right then and there, figured this is the worst possible thing that could happen. Was he going to bolt? Throw a fit? Kacie, Pink and I just stood there in shock waiting for the colossal meltdown. To our surprise, Kaiser got over the fact that I wasn't going to throw the ball and the four of us moseyed on up the hill making do with various sticks laying around. Kaiser was a great sport and was surprisingly a very good boy!! He didn't venture far from my side other than to chase after a stick. I felt bad that he wasn't getting his usual exercise so I even ran around a bit letting him chase after me. All in all, the 4 of us had a great time despite not having the ball. Now we know that the world will not end as we know it if Kai is ball-less for an hour. Thanks for the always entertaining outing guys. See you again next week! The scoop: poops and pees for all!

Time to bundle up (especially you Pink). It is a cold one out there today! We were thrilled to see what the park had in store for us on this sunny, yet frigid morning. The first half of our ‘whip around the park’ was quiet, which meant more room for us to roam freely. Pink was full of energy, and did not stop prancing or running for even a second! We eventually crossed paths with a few other groups of dogs, where we did our usual friendly greetings then kept trucking on our path. Kaiser, or as I like to call him « Mr. Social » made a new human friend out of a gentleman passing by. Those gorgeous eyes, and slobbery mouth are just too irresistible! Kacie nearly left the park with another dog family, as she was mesmerized by their black Bouvier. As we all approached the warmth of the car, Pink bolted towards the front seat door and waited patiently for me to let her in. Back to being warm and comfy, after a lovely jaunt! Multiple poops and pees for all 3!!

Happy Wednesday, K K & P! It's a blustery winter wonderland out there. Are you guys ready!? Feels like minus 22 C. Yuck! With that, we donned our warmest winter attire and headed straight for the park. To our surprise, it was pretty busy! Lots of fluffy pups in booties enjoying the day. Although Pink won the OOTD (Outfit of the Day) competition her pink jacket and black booties. They were the cutest by far! We spent our morning chasing the ball as well chasing each other. Any thing to stay warm! The cold brought out a very spunky side of Kacie today; she was running around like a maniac! She must have been feeling nice and toasty in her cute little coat. I hear this crew its off to Fernie so hopefully, with all our running around in the snow they will be already to snooze the whole way out to the mountains. Hope you guys have fun. Looking forward to hearing all your stories next week! The scoop: poops and plenty of pees all around!

The Tuesday Troupe was out in Parkdale's Off-Leash today, for only the second time. The four of us were eager to get some fresh morning air, and apparently so was half of the city of Calgary (okay maybe not quite half, but it was really busy). Our outing was filled with excitement, from Pink constantly making me giggle with her bounding around in the snow, to Kaiser sharing a HUGE stick with new pal ‘Moose’. Although, Kacie definitely takes the cake for most memorable interaction today. As a mother and daughter of the human kind passed by, the mother politely asked if they could pet Kacie (while Kai and Pinky were busy chasing their ball). This brought a smile to the young girl’s face, and she kept mentioning how sweet Kacie is. My heart was so full walking back to the car. These three bring out the best in people! 1 poop, 5 pees for Kacie. 1 poop, 7 pees for Pink and just 5 pees for Kaiser.

Happy Friday, K K & P! Hope you guys are ready for this. It's a cold one out there today!! We riffled ourselves into the car, all bundled up for our park adventure. Unfortunately, the paws didn't stay warm for very long, both Pink and Kacie were ready to call it quits just looking at the snow but they were troopers!! The 4 of us kept warm(ish) chasing the ball through trees, even Kacie got in on the action!! Although our time was a little shorter than usual we had a blast out there enjoying the sunny day!! I'm so glad I got to see you guys twice this week, I sure am spoiled!! Hope you guys have a great weekend and I'll see you all again on Wednesday!! The scoop: business for all! Poops and pees all around.

Happy Wednesday, girls and boy! The greatest day of the week has arrived! It is the best way to kick off my DGR week, spending the morning at the dog park with these dogs! Today was a very chilly day for us and everyone else who usually goes to the park The place was empty! However, even though we made no new friends, we had the whole park to ourselves! It was as if we were exploring in our own little oasis. Kaiser particularly loved it because he didn't have to play "keep away" with his ball from all the other pups. Now, don't get me wrong, Kaiser is the biggest social butterfly. At the slightest glimpse of another dog, he is in a full on sprint up to them to introduce himself. He's a maniac, but he sure is cute!! Pink, as well, was able to let her little guard down. She puts on quite the front as if she is the biggest and baddest Rottie at the park; I sure do admire her confidence. And then there's my sweet Kacie, fazed by nothing. She just strolls behind, never leaving my side. She makes for the best kind of company. As usual, I threw the ball for what seemed like a thousand times for Kai and Pink, especially today! We needed to get warm and stay warm and this definitely helped! We had a beautiful snowy day at the park and Calgary being Calgary looks like we will have a warm sunny day next week. Fingers crossed! See you guys then! The scoop: poops and pees all around!

I have been eager to meet Kacie, Kaiser, and Pink for some time now, and today was my lucky day! With all the excitement, I did not even start Runkeeper until nearly 10 minutes into our walk through the Parkdale off-leash park (we will say that was just warm-up time). I could not believe how well behaved these three were! I think I was merely there to throw Kai’s ball, and lead the crew in the right direction. We came across a few other pups. While Kacie greeted the dogs, Pink barked once or twice, and Kaiser looked for some attention from the dog’s walker. Kaiser takes the cake for the walk’s highlight moment, when he chose to go ´Number 2´ on a rather steep hill. Unfortunately for him, he set his ball down in front of him, which led to it rolling down the hill, followed by Kai chasing it, before finishing his Number 2 at the bottom. What a great first outing, it was so lovely meeting you three, with so much love to give! The scoop: 1 poop, 5 pees for Pink. 1 poop and 6 pees for Kaiser. And just 5 pees for Kacie.

Happy Wednesday, Gang!! New year, new park day! Wahoo!!! This bunch sure was excited for their first DGR park outing of the year, including me! As soon as I walked through the door, I was smothered with hugs; it was as if I hadn't seen Kai in years. He whimpered and whined with excitement, Kacie waited patiently for her turn as her nub of a tail wagged back and forth and Pink peed with joy...I'd say that's a great start! Everyone is thrilled! We piled into the car and away we went! It was a gloomy and chilly morning at the park, and we needed to stay warm, so up the hill we went! I love the view from this park; you can see all of Calgary it seems! With a lovely stroll, some ball throwing in the park, and some adventuring through the trees, the four of us had a fantastic morning back together. We became friends with a couple of Golden Retrievers, and a Border Collie. The crew and their new pals ran around like maniacs chasing each other, even Kacie was running around! Our hour today seemed to fly by, and by no time my dog squad was in the car and fighting the urge to sleep, Pink being the exception, she made herself a lovely little bed on my down coat and was out like a light; she's fancy. It was a very successful outing indeed; hopefully they stay this tired for the rest of the day! See you guys again next week! The scoop: plenty of pees, and poops all around!

Woot woot! It's a new year, pups! Let's celebrate with a road trip to Nosehill! These three were all on board. It was a crisp, clear, bluebird morning, and Kaiser, Kacie, Pink and I were ready for it. And while it was a celebration of the new year, some things don't change. Kaiser is still loving the routine that started in 2018: an outing with his big sisters, and his beloved ball. Pink is still giving Kai a run for his money; running with him after the ball, or enjoying her own Pinky-sized sticks I find for her. And Kacie, sweet Kacie, still meanders along, looking contemplative about everything she sees. Resolutions aside, sometimes with a new year, you need to embrace the things you loved from last year! Thanks guys for another great morning's walk! Au Revoir!! Scoop: everyone peed lots, only the girls pooped today.

Happy Wednesday, Gang! I had to think about the day for a second...Boy, this winter break is lovely!! Dogs are what my days consist of. Does it get any better than this!? Especially, when it's this squad. I get to hang out with these three and this seriously brighten my day minus the weird lady we ran into at the park...I'll get to her later. Today, the four of us squished into my car and away to the park we went. Thankfully, the park is only down the street, or else I'd never be able to see out of these fogged up windows. The excitement was steaming up the car! We finally arrived at the park, and these three leaped up of the car and darted up the hill. A little change of plans, I figured we would head straight to the top and try and burn off some of this energy by throwing the ball. On our way up, this is where we ran into our least favourite fan. Yes, this is the lady I mentioned. She was a little strange and terrified of dogs, and what was even more bizarre was she had two dogs of her own! She started to squeal when Kacie came up to her, terrified out of her mind. Then, Kaiser thought he better get in on the action and bulldozed right into her showing off his ball. All the while, Pink was cheering them on with her very vocal bark! After gathering Kacie, Kaiser, and Pink I assured her that they are incredibly friendly, but she was having none of it. She told me that this breed should not be allowed at the park! After all the times I've been to the park, this has got to be the strangest incident I have ever come across and who's to say an entire breed isn't welcome? Oh well, her loss! These are the best pups in the world! More loves for me! Despite this lady who was a small blip in our lovely park outing, we played and chased each other around. I know I'm tired so I hope these three are too! Hope you guys have the best Christmas and I'll see you all again next year!! The scoop: poops all around and tons of pees.
