DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 3.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 7 minutes New runner Dru joined me today with the pups so the doggies got some extra time outside and an extra person. We took them through the trails for photos and fun in the snow. Izzy sure loves to bury her nose in the snow. Oreo was peppy and when she saw a cute puppy across the street, she picked up her pace and we tried a short sprint! I guess she had a little extra speed and something to prove today. We finished with backyard shenanigans. These sisters sure do love zooming around chasing each other. It was an extra-ordinary time with Izzy, Oreo and Dru. I hope we see them again soon. No poops for Izzy but pees for both and Oreo had 1 poo. Runners: Ruth and Dru

![]() DISTANCE: 2.8 km DURATION: 34 minutes Finally, hey Izzy!! It is your turn. Looks likes your patience has paid off - the rain stopped. Let's go for a spin through the trees on the pathway. I really enjoy it there, it is like a mini mountain trail in the middle of the city. Izzy loved that trail. With the rain and all the fresh smells, her nose was down and working the whole time. I think Izzy will be ready for a nap after her run plus all the mental stimulation. Great job today Izzy Gal🐾. The Scoop: 1 pee, 1 poo. Walker: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 2.5 km DURATION: 35 minutes Oh my, do I feel loved. As soon as I walked in the door, both Izzy & Oreo were expressing their happiness that I arrived. Now the big choice about who goes first. Oreo won (the youngest). I do not think that Spunky Oreo was expecting rain😳!! She did a couple of dead stops with this look of bewilderment. I picked her up and gave her a cuddle and said:” let’s go have some fun.” Voila - the rain was fun🐾The Scoop: 1 pee, 1 poo. Walker: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 2.2 km DURATION: 27 minutes Well, Oreo sure wanted her walk today as she tipped her crate over when I got back from my Izzy outing. Okay, no dilly-dallying. She trotted along quickly on a mission. She is so cute and bold when seeing other dogs from afar. However, today she encountered a lion. It was a statue but Oreo lost some of her bravado. We shortened the walk by a few minutes as she was getting tired and so we could spend extra time back home with her sister Izzy. It has been a joyful 2 days getting to know Oreo and Izzy! The Scoop: 1 pee. 1 poo. Walker: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 3.4 km DURATION: 32 minutes Izzy was raring to go so we did a bit of running before settling into a brisk walk. What a gorgeous blue sky day to be outside! Izzy and I checked out some pretty modern mansions being built. We then sought out some shade on a trail in the woods before realizing it was time to get back to Oreo who was patiently awaiting her run. Izzy got some time outside her kennel again when I returned with Oreo. She sure is affectionate and we finished our time together with belly rubs! The Scoop: 4 poos, 2 pees. Walker: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 30 minutes DURATION: 3.1 km I decided to take Izzy first and we got along smashingly! I must say I have a thing for Labs having had 2 as family members. We had a great time and found ourselves at a beautiful home with horses. We stayed clear and appreciated their beauty from afar. After sister Oreo’s Run, Izzy won my heart by snuggling with me! See you tomorrow! The Scoop: 1 pee and 1 poo. Walker: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 2.7 km DURATION: 30 minutes Oreo got her walk after Izzy today and she sure had a lot to say to the neighbourhood dogs as she barked hellos out the door. She also likes to sprint and then walk. I love her bubbly personality. We saw a lost dog sign on our outing but no luck finding it. Post run, Oreo ate a bit of her kibble. She must have had post walk munchies! I look forward to tomorrow! Walker: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 3.20 km DURATION: 33:05 Hello Izzy, you are a beauty. Would you like to go out first? Izzy took her role as eldest sibling serious and was not sure of who I was and why are you coming into my house. I respect that sweetheart, I will take your young sister first. After getting back with Oreo and having some conversation and cookies, Izzy was comfortable that she would like to go out with me. This lovely gal is so well behaved on-leash. We started out with a run and Izzy did brilliantly. We did a bit of trail running (way more fun than a sidewalk) and I could see Izzy’s tongue starting to dangle. At the stoplights, Izzy laid down. We are close to home, let's make this our cool-down. Izzy is a great little runner. The Doggy Business Report; 1 good sized poop and 2 pees. When we got home, Oreo had rolled over her crate and had it upside down and in the middle of the room. We straightened everything back upright😂. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 2.33 km DURATION: 31:43 Oh my goodness Oreo, you are a little fluffball! What a cutie. Oreo had no question of 'Who is the stranger coming into my house.' She was so happy to say "Hello" and will you cuddle me? You are one happy pup! After picking up a bit of surgery that Oreo did on one of her toys (a little liposuction), we headed out for our jog. Oreo is not at all camera shy and loves having her photo taken. We jogged around her neighbourhood and I got to enjoy this fluff's bundle of energy. The Doggy Business Report: 2 pees.
