Indie, Ryder and I had an awesome week together! There were lots of walks (some runs for Ryder), cuddles on the couch, and wrestling from the living room to the backyard. On one of the beginning nights, Indie got into a little trouble as he decided to pick a fight with one of the plants in the living room while I was away for a bit over 2 hours. Whoops, I learned my lesson after that and put him in his crate when I had to be away for more than a couple hours. Although he was sad to be left in his crate I always gave him lots of love when I got back home. Ryder sure has grown into one chill dude, and a sweetheart too! On our walks, we worked on the pulling situation and we had a few good runs as well. At home, he was content hanging out in the backyard for long periods of time. Sometimes. I had to tempt him with a treat to bring him back inside. I took the boys out every day for some exercise. Some times were longer than others, and a few times I took them together instead of separate, on the busier days. My favourite routine was walking around the golf course with Indie and then running around it after with Ryder. Indie and I made the 4.22 km journey in around 45 minutes - 1 hour, whereas Ryder and I ran the loop in under 20 minutes one time. The weather during my stay had been crazy. We started off with some warm weather; one day was even +20°C, then it dropped to -20°C in a matter of a couple days. On my last day, we went for a walk all together. The weather had finally started to act right, so we made it a long one. When we got back home, the boys took a nap while I worked out and did some cleaning around the house. I gave the the boys lots of love before finally saying goodbye and putting Indie in his crate for bedtime (around 9:00pm). It was a little sad to say goodbye because we had such a good time together. 'Till next time dudes.

I have been looking forward to spending time with Ryder & Indie, 'The Lakeview Golden Delights’. For me this is like going back home. My husband & I were living in Lakeview at the time when we brought our Golden Boy, Murphy home, twenty years ago. These two gave the beat greeting when I arrived. The weather may have been snowing outside but they warmed my heart in moments. Ryder and his handsome coat showed me all his preferred sleeping spots, then decide he was going to be my lap dog. Such a golden thing to do! Little Indie, with that gorgeous cooper coat snuggled right up besides me wanting the blanket over him. Our walks, each going out 45 minutes separately, brought out their personalities. Indie with puppy awe, was intrigued in anything that moved and could go into his mouth. Ryder is ready to go on an adventure as soon as he walks out the door. Such a treat to spend a good part of a Saturday with these two boys. P.S. Indie lost a tooth, I found it on the couch. Does the Tooth Fairy leave a little something for dogs too?
