🎵Happy Birthday Huxley🎶. Today was Huxley's Birthday Party with Marley. Wow, I can not believe you are 4 already!! I remember when you were just a little monkey. Marley wanted to surprise Huxley today. Usually I pick Hux up first and then Marley. Today, Marley was waiting for him in the Jeep. The Party was held at Baker Park. As soon as these two hit the water Marley barked "Happy Birthday" to Huxley and chased him in and out of the water. The game of choice for the party was 'Tug o' war with a stick'. Both Marley & Huxley are competitive at this one.😜 Lots of swimming, running around the park, and just a great birthday. Huxley had a touch of the 'runs' today so the cookies were kept to a minimum. Maybe more would have help things!! 🤣 Tons of fun and laughs to be held today. Then, they both fell asleep in the Jeep on the way home. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 5 runny poops & 1 good one. Lots of pees.

Howdy Hux Pup, let's go for a zip around your neighbourhood before picking up your BFF Marley. Huxley always greets me with a shoe in his mouth. Oscar, the kitty cat, sits among the sneakers because he knows it is Huxley’s running time. Quick cardio completed - let's go and have real ’Doggy Fun.’ Huxley gets so excited in anticipation of seeing Marley. He has taken to jumping into her seat!! We reached Marley’s house and I was wondering how Marley would feel about this new seating arrangement. In true BFF fashion, all was great. Today was a first because Marley got Hux to chase her while she was on land and he was in the water! These two just crack me up! They are such good friends. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 2 healthy poops and lots of pees. Marley had 1 healthy poop and tried really hard to compete with Huxley’s number of pees.

It was a perfect day for friends, family, a picnic, swimming, and a bike ride. The Jeep was ’a full house’. First up, Huxley. Since today was a bit warm I thought Huxley would prefer more Marley and swimming time than our usual 30-minute run and then a walk. Huxley jumped in and said ”Hi” to Henry and Linden (my 5-year-old Grand Nephew). Huxley was whining and providing happy yelps until Marley got in the Jeep. Huxley loves his Marley time. Once the Jeep had all passengers, it was off to Griffith Woods. Everyone jumped out🐾. Henry & Linden had a picnic and bicycle time. Marley, Huxley, and I headed out for our walk and swim time. I swear M & H are part fish🤣. We had a much longer walk and achieved a reasonable 6K. These two friends packed in a lot more exercise with swimming and running in and out of the forest. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 1 poop and lots of pees. Marley had 1 poop and 5 pees.

Huxley came out speeding for his run portion today. I could tell he was excited to see me. Then after our run, off we headed to get his BFF, Marley. Then Hux Pup was really excited. These two are so hilarious to watch 🤪. They checked out where the other one had explored, smelt and of course peed on the exact same spot. They both would have added an additional 1.5 k onto Runkeeper with all the swimming and in and out of the trees. These two are getting so comfortable with each other. When they are checking out a scent, they are crazy glued together. It is my pleasure spending time with these two happy bums. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 2.5 poops and many, many pees. Marley had 2 poops and 5 pees.

Hi Huxley🐾, There is one thing I am always guaranteed when it is a Huxley day - lots of laughs. I think the dampness and rain brought out Hux Pup’s extra ’goofy’ nature. After being greeted at the door with a variety of shoes (that's right, not just one!), we headed out in the rain. As you can see In the pictures, Huxley had many faces today. I actually think he was working his charm for extra cuddles. Well, I tried to make up for not having Marley with us during our outing by meeting other pups out today. Everyone we met announced that their pup may not be too friendly. Huxley worked his Zen magic and put a lot of smiles on other doggy owners' faces. Huxley is so ’chill’ in his energy that everyone had a good visit. The Doggy Business Report: 1 healthy poop and lots of pees.

Two runs today for Huxley. One with just Michelle and one with DGR Dog Marley B. (see Marley's blog). First stop, pick up Huxley and do a quick 4.5 km community run. Good Job Huxley, now jump into the Jeep because we are off to see one of your friends. Surprise Marley - look who is joining us today!! It's your Pet Sitting Roommate Huxley🐾. Oh my goodness, were these two happy to see each other. We arrived at Griffith Woods and they where like two school kids when the recess buzzer has rung. I love love love seeing when two doggies connect. Miss Marley was like a young pup all excited to show Huxley her park. Huxley was all over the place, smelling the new surroundings and jumping in and out of the water. I think it is pretty safe to say they added an additional 2 km to what Runkeeper calculated. At the turn-around point they started to slow down to the point of at least keeping somewhat close to me.😊 At the end of the trail there was some slower little bums bouncing back into the jeep. Thank you Huxley & Miss M for making my afternoon so much fun. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 2 poops and lots of pees. Miss Marley had 1 poop and 7 pees.

Huxley Pup🎵🎵I have a surprise for YOU! Oh......I see you & Oscar, the cat, have a surprise for Me!! Evidence left at the scene of the crime would indicate a pillow fight had happened while Huxley & Oscar were left alone. Let's scoop up the bits of fluff everywhere and burn off some of those shenanigans. The first Surprise is - we are going to Nose Hill. The second surprise is a distant cousin is joining us!! Introducing Oliver, my Labradoodle Guest. As you can see these boys hit it off immediately and became instant BFF’s. I had a feeling you two would do smashingly. As I was driving Hux Pup home, they both fell asleep. I had to wake Huxley up when we got to his place. A great outing indeed. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and competing pee stops. Boys will be boys🐾!

Hi Hux Pup😍. Huxley’s response was wiggle wiggle, kiss kiss, and big smiles. We are going a bit slower today, but I have some ’fun in the sun’ planned for us. On a day like today and hanging out with such a great pup, there is only one place to go. That’s right - to the water!! I think the pictures show how excited Huxley was. He pounced in and out of the pond like a jackrabbit. Channelling the Easter vibe. He would always come back to me with this perplexed look. ”Why won't the ducks play with me?” Hux, my friend, don't worry I will play with you. After lots of energy was exerted, we took ourselves back up the hill home. I just love when Hux out of the blue rubs up against you just to get some extra cuddles. 🐾❤️ The Doggy Business Report: 1 big poop, lots of leg lifts for exercise, and about 6 pees.
What a great week it was with Huxley at our house and stopping by daily to see Pink, Oskar, Norton, & the fish. Huxley helped me several times with my running speed work. This giant Teddy Bear is one big mass of love ❤️. Whoever meets him just has to hug him! Huxley obliges with leaning into you and soaks up all you have to offer. Lots of car trips and outings with playdates were part of our time together. I will see you next Spring Break, that is if I can wait that long. Pack your suitcase anytime Huxley!! Big Hugs!

Huxley, I am so happy to see you!! It appears that you may also feel the same. Even though we only get together each year around this time, it always means it is "Happy Party Time." Mr. Attraction, has this magnetic persona. Every human & doggy wants to come and meet Hux Pup. Huxley's response, "Hi there! Can I lean into you?!" Doggies always get real calm around him and people just want to hug him. This is just one "Chill Guy"! I will see you in 2 sleeps my big love bug. The Doggy Business Report: Lots of leg lifts!! Half for business purposes and the other half was yoga practice. 1 big poop.
I must admit, as I sit here alone drinking my coffee (inside joke) that I am missing all my part-time fur family members. My holiday with Huxley (the cuddliest Goldendoodle ever🐾) plus Pinkie (the calico cat - who is boss🐱) and Oscar (the young and crazy wild one🐱) has come to an end. I seriously asked the humans of this household if they would consider adopting me😊. Every morning I had all of them join me for coffee. Pinkie & Oscar had milk and Huxley a Milk Bone but it really became a ritual. Then Huxley and my day would begin by hanging out together on many adventures. Nose Hill Park, going to work together, having lunch at my house and exploring a fantastic new off-leash park just to name a few. Then at night, while we all cuddled up together, we would talk about our day. Huxley would always fall asleep so I told the day's events to Pinkie and Oscar. I believe that Norton (the newt) enjoyed listening in too😂. Miss you guys. I hope to holiday with you all again soon.

Huxley met me at the door with a shoe in his mouth. This is a common trick that many dogs do as a ‘happy to see you’ gesture. What made me laugh was as soon as he saw me, he immediately dropped the first shoe and grabbed a sneaker. Hey Huxley, I’m picking up on your vibe today!! 😊 Let's skedaddle and stretch those legs. Boy-oh-boy that was what Huxley did. He got some off-leash time in Scenic Acres and as you can tell, he loved moving those long legs of his, Today was a real ‘Leg Stretcher’ for both of us. See you soon love bug 🐾😘. The Doggy Business Report: 2 large soft poops and 4 pees.

The first day back after a long weekend is tough but this Monday was different. I had a run scheduled with Huxley and it has been a year since I last spent time with this adorable pup. I guess you are not a pup anymore. Look at how big he is!! Huxley & I had the pleasure of meeting each other when he was not even a year old. There are some things that never change. That big loving personality of Huxley is infectious. Mr. Lovable and I headed out to catch up and see what was happening in Tuscany. First we ran into DGR dog Mira and her favorite running partner Tracy. We stopped and had a chit chat. Then we caught up with this group of people taking Miss Kona the pup for a walk. Kona loves Huxley and wanted to jump and lick him. Huxley is so chill, he is like ‘no worries’ this just gives me more time to lean into all these folks and get more love. I had forgot how Huxley was such a magnet to EVERYONE!!. I felt like I should be his bodyguard 😂. In true Huxley fashion he soaked it all in. Great seeing you.
I can not believe I am already into week two of pet sitting Huxley (the lovable, larger than life Golden Doodle), Pinkie (the cat who is a Cuddle Master) and look who else came out to say "Hi" its Norton the Newt. Well the whole gang and I have really been having a super time together. This family is just so fun loving. Huxley has had a few extra special excursions to 'Freedom Land' also known as Nose Hill Park which he just goes crazy running around and then about 40 minutes later walks slowly back to the car, with me in tow. Pinkie has had some supervised outside time but I must admit when she proudly brought me a dead vole I had a little 'squealing girly moment.' She was very happy with herself. Note to self: I must find a new toy for Pinkie, per'fur'ably plastic. Huxley and I have a little game that he tests me with each day, "Really Mom & Dad let me bring the bone in the house, trust me." His face is so cute that it hard not to give in, but I checked in on that one you sly dog.

Huxley & The Gang have been a blast to pet/house sit. I start the day waking up and having Pinkie (the kitty) laying on my chest and Huxley standing on the bed trying to snuggle right beside and putting his head on top of Pinkie. It starts the day off with a smile. Huxley is such a smart pooch. He can put his toys back into their crate. Well, at least I keep finding his new toy (my sneakers) in there 😂. We have had some great adventures touring Tuscany and getting all the spring smells in. Pinkie loves, loves when I am on the computer, she has been helping me with my blogs. I think I will call her my 'Ghost Writer'. Lots of fun and laughs happening here. PS. Mom & Dad from Huxley: "I'm told everyday I am the best boy ever!"
