I must admit, as I sit here alone drinking my coffee (inside joke) that I am missing all my part-time fur family members. My holiday with Huxley (the cuddliest Goldendoodle ever🐾) plus Pinkie (the calico cat - who is boss🐱) and Oscar (the young and crazy wild one🐱) has come to an end. I seriously asked the humans of this household if they would consider adopting me😊. Every morning I had all of them join me for coffee. Pinkie & Oscar had milk and Huxley a Milk Bone but it really became a ritual. Then Huxley and my day would begin by hanging out together on many adventures. Nose Hill Park, going to work together, having lunch at my house and exploring a fantastic new off-leash park just to name a few. Then at night, while we all cuddled up together, we would talk about our day. Huxley would always fall asleep so I told the day's events to Pinkie and Oscar. I believe that Norton (the newt) enjoyed listening in too😂. Miss you guys. I hope to holiday with you all again soon.

Huxley met me at the door with a shoe in his mouth. This is a common trick that many dogs do as a ‘happy to see you’ gesture. What made me laugh was as soon as he saw me, he immediately dropped the first shoe and grabbed a sneaker. Hey Huxley, I’m picking up on your vibe today!! 😊 Let's skedaddle and stretch those legs. Boy-oh-boy that was what Huxley did. He got some off-leash time in Scenic Acres and as you can tell, he loved moving those long legs of his, Today was a real ‘Leg Stretcher’ for both of us. See you soon love bug 🐾😘. The Doggy Business Report: 2 large soft poops and 4 pees.

The first day back after a long weekend is tough but this Monday was different. I had a run scheduled with Huxley and it has been a year since I last spent time with this adorable pup. I guess you are not a pup anymore. Look at how big he is!! Huxley & I had the pleasure of meeting each other when he was not even a year old. There are some things that never change. That big loving personality of Huxley is infectious. Mr. Lovable and I headed out to catch up and see what was happening in Tuscany. First we ran into DGR dog Mira and her favorite running partner Tracy. We stopped and had a chit chat. Then we caught up with this group of people taking Miss Kona the pup for a walk. Kona loves Huxley and wanted to jump and lick him. Huxley is so chill, he is like ‘no worries’ this just gives me more time to lean into all these folks and get more love. I had forgot how Huxley was such a magnet to EVERYONE!!. I felt like I should be his bodyguard 😂. In true Huxley fashion he soaked it all in. Great seeing you.
I can not believe I am already into week two of pet sitting Huxley (the lovable, larger than life Golden Doodle), Pinkie (the cat who is a Cuddle Master) and look who else came out to say "Hi" its Norton the Newt. Well the whole gang and I have really been having a super time together. This family is just so fun loving. Huxley has had a few extra special excursions to 'Freedom Land' also known as Nose Hill Park which he just goes crazy running around and then about 40 minutes later walks slowly back to the car, with me in tow. Pinkie has had some supervised outside time but I must admit when she proudly brought me a dead vole I had a little 'squealing girly moment.' She was very happy with herself. Note to self: I must find a new toy for Pinkie, per'fur'ably plastic. Huxley and I have a little game that he tests me with each day, "Really Mom & Dad let me bring the bone in the house, trust me." His face is so cute that it hard not to give in, but I checked in on that one you sly dog.

Huxley & The Gang have been a blast to pet/house sit. I start the day waking up and having Pinkie (the kitty) laying on my chest and Huxley standing on the bed trying to snuggle right beside and putting his head on top of Pinkie. It starts the day off with a smile. Huxley is such a smart pooch. He can put his toys back into their crate. Well, at least I keep finding his new toy (my sneakers) in there 😂. We have had some great adventures touring Tuscany and getting all the spring smells in. Pinkie loves, loves when I am on the computer, she has been helping me with my blogs. I think I will call her my 'Ghost Writer'. Lots of fun and laughs happening here. PS. Mom & Dad from Huxley: "I'm told everyday I am the best boy ever!"

Hey there 'Happy Huxley', what have you got in your mouth, that you brought to greet me at the door?? Oh.....my......Huxley have you been housecleaning? That's an empty box of a carpet cleaner. I decided to not explore the possible fact that Huxley maybe giving me a clue that he had hid something in the house. But I will pick up the shredded plastic bags you seem to have had some fun with. Come on you little rascal and let's use up some of your energy. 🐾😂Huxley is such a great guy to run. When we come across any dog, he sits beside me and just 'chillaxes' and it does not matter at all if they bark or jump or just walk by. Huxley sits and lets them go by. You are such a good boy 🐶. We decided to loop around and make our way to the coulee to see how the pathway was there. It was actually the best part for road conditions. Huxley got the high jinx and wanted to play while we were there. So we stopped for some tussle time and jumping around fun. A fun run, thanks H. The Doggy Business Report: lots of pees.

Howdy Huxley, you knew it was me who pulled into your driveway, didn't you?!😊 Plus I can tell you have this running thing all sussed out. I put Huxley's harness on and he stood right in front of the door. There was no way he was going to move unless it was out that door with me. You're such a good boy, but can I have my running shoes that you are standing on so we can make tracks?🐾😂 Pond bound was our mission today. It was an out-and-back on this sunny brisk morning. I knew getting there would not be a worry because it was all down hill. As everyone knows what goes down must get back up. Huxley took everything in stride and even helped pull me up that hill that seemed like it would never end. As it turned out we had a little time left to finish with a nice cool down. Huxley we have defiantly picked up where we left off. The Doggy Business Report: 7 pees and no poops.

Hello Girlfriends!😊 Who's that in the kitchen window doing dishes?? Hey, that's Reilly standing on her hind legs in front of the kitchen sink, looking out the window at me. I had to take a second look because at first I really thought someone was doing the dishes😂. Today Abby had her mind made up contrary to what everyone else thought would be best. See poor Abby has been under the weather and the plan was to let her outside and get some fresh air while Reilly and I went for a run. Abby was not having any part of that, SHE was going out too!! So today we all had a nice walk and a little jogging here and there. Abby was front and center, never missing a beat or hop or skip. Nor did she miss any bunny nuggets!! Reilly was really good, for she had lots of fuel to go but was totally enjoying that we all were out together. The Doggy Business: Abby had 1 long pee and one runny poop. Reilly had 1 poop and several pees.

H & M are back together! Yahoo!🎉🐶👍. That's right folks, Huxley & Michelle have reunited for another tour, well a few tours in Tuscany anyways. Huxley, you are just like this bear that I could hug all day long, but you have grown and filled out. So I should make a correction and say this 'Big Bear'. Huxley's ever so sweet personality is still the same and even though it has been awhile since we hit the trails together you are still as brilliant as ever. I was so looking forward to spending time with you and we even hit the off-road trails of 12 mile coulee; just like old times. The last photo is the look I got when I was leaving and Huxley was staying at home.... I almost scooped him up and took him home with me😉. The Doggy Business: about 8 pees, that's it.
