DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2
DISTANCE: 2.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes
Oh the weather outside is frightful, but coats and booties are so delightful! Archie had some mini-zoomies of Joy when I arrived at the house today! He attempted to evade me when I reached for his booties, but little did he suspect that I know he has a weakness for treats. After a little coaxing, we got bundled up and went out for a quick 20 minute jaunt in the deep freeze before returning home to play some tug with his favourite stuffed duck. We had another quick little run around in the backyard (where I believe he may have munched on a poop-sicle? He was too quick for me to find out for sure!). He then settled in for a snooze in his crate while I went to get Freckles. Sweet lady Freckles did not ‘pup-preciate’ the temperature outside, despite her very fashionable outfit, so we only stayed out for about 15 minutes and then had some pets and snuggles inside. As soon as we returned home, she didn’t waste a single moment before running over to the dog bed and curling up! I’m with her - hibernation sounds pretty good for the rest of the day! The Scoop: Archie - 5 pees, Freckles - 2 pees 1 poop.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3
DISTANCE: 6.8 km DURATION: 56 minutes
Stylin’ and Profilin’ with Freckles (read in your worst fake Italian accent). So here we have Freckles in her new beautiful new coat where she is meeting both function and fashion. She is rocking the cat...er...dog walk unlike her runner who is clearly only going for function. A blue face mask with a green toque = why must he clash like that? (Ok, end of accent). Well we lucked out as once the wind died off 10 minutes into our run it was really quite pleasant out today. With the sun shining too that hit of Vitamin D was also very welcome. Freckles ran really well today although I think I tired her out as the last kilometre or so was a little slower and she was quick to go lay down as soon as we got her home. The boots went on real easy today as Freckles is quite cooperative about putting them on. The Scoop 1 poop and quite a few pees so I stopped marking them after the meaningful ones.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2
DISTANCE: 7.1 km DURATION: 1 hour 4 minutes
It was so great to be back out running today especially with Archie and Freckles. We took advantage of the nice weather (might not be saying that soon) and enjoyed the sunshine. Both dogs ran really well today, in fact, I was the slow one; perhaps one too many Christmas cookies? Archie wanted to run and wasn’t that interested in having his picture taken today although he did give me a great selfie. Freckles was also happy to be out although at two different forks in the road she gave me looks as I don’t think we went the way she was hoping for. I got a unique picture of her today as I caught her being distracted by a drone overhead so that was different angle then we usually capture. So happy to be back out with them and can’t wait to do it again tomorrow. The Scoop: 1 poop for Freckles and nothing for Archie. They both had a few good pees but I did stop counting all the little ones that were just meant to colour the snow.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2
DISTANCE: 7.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 2 minutes
Going Dora mode with Freckles So today Freckles and I got our explorer on and went looking for new trails. Because it was just the two of us, we had time to go looking for a path I have seen but never was able to figure out where it started. It turned out to be quite the nice little path. It had some little ponds, benches, and an open space to really run through. Freckles ran really well and never seemed to tire out today. She picked up extra energy towards the end which was unexpected and a good push for myself. The Scoop: 2 poops and 8 pees. She seemed to want to mark our route so we can find it again next time.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2
DISTANCE: 7.0 km DURATION: 1 hour 2 minutes
It was so much fun to see Archie and Freckles again today after a few weeks. After mostly sticking close to home last time, this time I let them show me around the neighbourhood much more. Archie found some fountains and ruins (I think they might be fake but didn’t want to tell him that). Freckles also pointed out the same fountain after a slight detour looking for more green spaces. Both ran so well again, I can’t wait to get back out with them soon. 1 poop for each, 3 pees for Freckles, and I lost count with Archie as we had a lot of marking pees.
DGR RUN OF THE DAY
DISTANCE 6.9 km DURATION: 1 hour 3 minutes
I had so much fun today meeting and then running with Archie and Freckles. We formed an instant friendship as Archie was snuggling up to my leg so tight I actually had a hard time getting out the door. We explored mostly around home for our run today as I wanted learn their personalities and any visual cues with them. Archie was able to run for 40 minutes before I brought him home to take Freckles out. Freckles did really well running compared to what I was led to believe; it must be the perfect fall weather. They both run so dignified compared to my pup that I was calling them Sir Archie and Lady Freckles. I can’t wait to see them again in a couple of days. I did lower the nose piece on the collar just for pictures after giving a really good look around so I hope that’s ok. 1 poop and 2 pees for Freckles and only pees for Archie but I did lose track on the number.
DISTANCE: 5.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 15 minutes
It was nice to meet Archie the big ball of energy today. He was out the door first and ready to go! We stuck to all the paths in the area and checked out all the bushes and shrubs on the way. After 40 minutes out and about, we headed back for Freckles' turn. Freckles and I went for a slow 20 minute exploration of the paths in the other direction. The Scoop: Archie had 20+ pee and no poop. Freckles had 1 pee and 1 poop.
DISTANCE: 6.5 km . DURATION: 1 hour 27 minutes
Everything went well today and if you can't tell by the map , there were lots of pee stops. Archie’s jogging has really improved. We were able to do a continuous light jog with pee stops. Freckles like always is awesome. Today is my final run with these two fun pups, as I will be talking three months off from DGR! Have a great fall guys.🐾❤️ . The Scoop: 32 pees and 2 poos.
DISTANCE: 6.0 km DURATION: 1 hour 21 minutes
Freckles loved the temperature today, and so did I. We started to get rained on at the end, Miss Freckles had her nose turned up to Mother Nature... We did our regular stop at the pet store and visited the ladies. See you tomorrow Frecks! The Scoop: 27 pees, 2 poos.
DISTANCE: 5.22 km DURATION: 1:09:50
Well Miss Freckles, we ended up at the Bone and Biscuit once again. You tried to visit the boys at the barber shop. Do you need a shave? Then we entertained the girls at the pet store. Freckles wanted to shoplift some fun chew toys, but we convinced her that wasn’t a great idea... we don’t need the police coming Frecks. A paw cuffed Pitbull will not look good in the neighbourhood. When we left the B and B, Frecks immediately wanted to go back for more love and attention. We continued our outing with traditional rolls and sniffs. It was a great day for both of us. Thanks girl! 1 poop, 19 pee.
DISTANCE: 5.13 km DURATION: 1:14:49
How did your Freckles adventure go today, you might ask! Well, we had a break in the grass, and another and another and then a roll and then a nap, and then another break. We even had a break at the Bone and Biscuit where we met the lovely store cashier, who loved Miss Freckles and spoiled her with treats. It is hot out there today and Freckles and I are truly Canadian... we like the cool running weather, this heat has got to go! That is why today we went with the flow and stopped when we needed to; simply to make sure this pup didn’t overheat. Enjoy your AC, Miss Freckles - until next week. 1 poop, 6 pees.
DISTANCE: 5.29 km DURATION: 43:32 Archie
DISTANCE: 1.91 km DURATION: 25:47 Freckles
Good Morning Archie! Nice to see you again. You are full of energy! Our day started much different than yesterday. It seemed with the cooler weather everyone (and their dog) were out for a walk. Arch and I started the same way as yesterday, but this time we dodged some other dogs. We stopped and I kept him close. A quick correction on the collar got his attention and we patiently waited until we could continue. Archie stopped to sniff around and I looked into the sky to evaluate when the rain would come. I suddenly felt something wet spraying my leg. I guess I was standing a little too close to Archie and my leg ended up being hit with some secondary backsplash pee lol. We kept avoiding oncoming dogs, so our run was full of some stopping and walking to make sure everyone was safe! When we got back to the house Archie went right to the water dish to rehydrate! He then laid by the front door unsure if he wanted to run again, or take a nap. Thanks for another great outing Arch! lots of pees, no poops.
Hi Freckles! You are such a sweet girl. Once I opened the gate, Freckles was much slower going down the stairs this morning. When we left the house. there were no 400m sprints, just a fast paced walk! We made a giant loop. We passed a couple of dogs and their owners. Freckles kept trying to chew grass. If she wasn't trying to eat it, she would be rolling around in it to cool down. The cloud overhead was still coming in, I think we got back to the house in good time! Freckles too enjoyed some water and then decided she wanted to sit on the dog bed and relax for a few. I happily sat on the ground, petting her. Then upstairs she went so Archie could come out! Nice to see you again Miss Freckles! 1poop, 4 pees.

Hi Archie!! You’re so big and handsome! It was such a beautiful day to get out for a run, and Archie was stoked to get outside. After getting the collar all sorted, we headed off on our adventure. Archie kept a good pace for the majority of our run. Each time I stopped to try and take a picture Archie would rub his nose against my legs in an attempt to remove the nose harness. I had to giggle at his efforts 😂. We ran close to the trees, trying to avoid some of the nearby construction! On the return home Archie’s nose kicked into high sniff. The flowers had received his attention. Once we got back to the house, Archie gulped water. I laughed at him. Each time he lifted his head, the water poured out of his jowls 😅. Silly boy! I think we enjoyed one another’s company. I’ll see you tomorrow! Time to get Miss freckles out now! No poops, lots of pees.

Hello Sir Archie and Miss Freckles, I want to start off by saying whenever I have these two in my daily schedule, I look forward to our outing. Archie, you're up first. Today was a hard day for Archie. He was excited because of all the people and animals out enjoying the weather. Archie wants the neighbourhood to himself. Freckles, your turn girl! And roll, and roll again. She sure does like her back scratched on the fresh cut grass. We headed to many shady grassy areas for a break today. Running? No way - this dog is chilling today. Freckles has so much personality; she really makes me chuckle. I can figure out what she is thinking. Sometimes, she thinks just like me🤣🐾🐾 Archie had 5 pees, no poops. Freckles had 3 poops, 3 pees.
DISTANCE: 5.40 km DURATION: 1:02:14
Finally the sunshine has come out guys!!! Let's head outside for a beautiful adventure. Archie and I headed to the pond, enjoying all the birds chirping away. Archie thought he could chase one but, nope we can’t do that. I headed back to pick up Miss Freckles. We enjoyed the quietness of the neighbourhood, listening to the mowing of grass and the construction going on. The smell of fresh cut grass is so delightful. It smells like summer. See you all tomorrow. Freckle had 2 poops, 3 pees. Archie had 1 poop, 6 pees.
