Happy Wednesday, Freckles!! And another beautiful run down in Montana (Legacy)...but worth the drive!! I would actually drive to Montana to see this girl because she's just so darn cute!! We had a lovely, speedy run through Walden and Legacy with lots of exciting things along the way!! Chip bags blowing in the wind, dogs in windows, and the snowmen were the big things to spike Freckle’s interest today! She sure knows how to keep me on my toes while running. In the blink of an eye, she’s off! For such a sweet girl, she sure is strong!! Thanks for the awesome run, and being a great break in between a busy day of exams. I'm sorry if I bored you with my fluid mechanic's trivia and equations but believe it or not that's going to help me on my exam!! Thanks for the help, you're the best! Hope to see you again soon! The scoop: 1 poop, 6 pees.

Hello Freckles and Archie!😊 I haven’t seen these poopers in a while, especially Archie! I took him out first and we followed the frozen bunny nugget trail.. Seriously, it was a there and back. He knows the route well!😂 Freckles, let’s hit it! My friend was in the mood to run until she wasn’t! Again with the bunny nugget trail, it must run in the family.😜 We also had some lengthy decision-making to do at every corner - open field or street crossing? You get the gist. She’s so cute! I love it when Freckles looks up at you to see if what she’s doing is okay. You be you, Freckles, that’s why we luv you!😁Anyways, we rounded out our adventure with one last romp across the field and back to the comforts of home. Thanks for hanging with me this afternoon Freckles and Archie! I had a blast! 1 poo and several pees for Frecks; 4 pees for Archie today. Cheers! Looking forward to seeing you kids in the New Year!

Freckles!!! My girl, how I've missed you!! We didn't even skip a beat; she smothered me with kisses as soon as I came through the door. She seriously is one of the best dogs ever; so lovable!! We quickly got her suited up for a run, and we were off. She wasted no time showing me around the lovely community of Legacy. Things sure have changed in a year. Wow! It was a construction site the last time I was here, and Freckles' house was basically at the end of the community. It looks so great!! We set off on our old route into Walden and up to 194th. We shared lots of stories and caught on lost time, I sure have missed spending time with this girl. All I want to do was to just hug her. I heard she has a new little brother. Unfortunately, he was not there today, I hope to meet him one day!! He sure looks cute. Well, Freckles, thanks for the speedy run with lots of pitstops. All your sniffing sure makes my job easy! See you again, Wednesday! I can not wait! The scoop: 2 poops, 6 pees!

Merry Almost Christmas Freckle Monster! I believe today was our last meeting before Mr Claws comes to your home to fill your doggy bowl. In today's blog, I am going to talk about my year with Freckles. It has almost been two years since I met this wonderful furry friend. Our first meeting made me sweat as there was an anxious Pitty, barking at me through the window. Jump to now - the dog who burns rubber on the beautiful hardwood floors... just so excited for her daily outing. What a great dog you have become. You are friendly, loving, and a joy to be around.! The Pugs down the street may have a different opinion 😂😂. But, I am happy to know you. It was a great 2018, and I am looking forward to our 2019 runs together. Enjoy your holidays Freckles. 1 poop, 7 pees and a lick of a Wendy’s to=go bag!

I am not sure how long it has been since I personally ran Archie and Freckles but in that time their neighbourhood of Legacy has grow by leaps and bounds. And speaking of growing, so has Archie who now towers over Freckles! Well, Archie was first up and we did about 3.5K in the backwoods which was lovely as Archie was not bothered by other dogs or distractions. We did a bit of running and then eased off. One of his purple booties ripped at the end of our outing. My apologies! Next up was Miss Freckles. I could have just eaten her up; she was so sweet. As my memory recalls, Freckles starts with a bang. Yup, we were off and running at a brisk pace until, she was done. She was firm about the direction she wanted to go. I like a lady with a strong mind! The Scoop: 1 poo for Frecks and both Archie and Freckles peed 4-5 times. What a lovely early Christmas present to spend time with these two.

It has been over a year since Freckles and I last ran together, but she sure has not changed. I was greeted with a loud bark, followed by the sweetest panting, spinning, and tail-wagging. It took us a little while to get her boots on, but we were soon out the door. Starting with a quick pace, Freckles and I ran with the wind (and blowing snow). We slowed down about half-way through the run. With the cold weather taking its toll, not to mention the thick foot of snow, we were running through. I thought we had made it safe and sound without any slips or falls until... I took an unexpected tumble about a block away from Freckles' home. While she was not fazed by the ice, or my fall, Freckles looked at me, turning her head, as if to say "Are you getting up? I am cold! Let's go!!!" What a fabulous snowy run with the sweetest girl. The scoop: 2 poops and 6 or so pees.

A few key words to explain my time with Archie and Freckles: The first, EXPLORE! When Archie heads out for his break, his nose is focused almost completely on the ground; desperately trying to take in everything he missed. I could be a six foot squeeze toy and I'm sure he wouldn't notice. For Freckles, the word is RUN. As usual, her first kilometre is taken at a sprint. But after that initial rush out the door, her word is WONDER. Freckles can't help but take in all the happenings of her neighbourhood. We jogged underneath graceful geese heading to warmer temperatures. We ran beside excavators continuing their busy work. We tried to run past several trees, signs and hydrants but they all smelled too delicious or curious to pass quickly. Freckles took every opportunity to stop and enjoy today. And considering the ominous warning of an upset tummy before we left, I was in the mood to accommodate. Maybe we should all explore our runs with wonder. The scoop: Archie had 6 pees, no poops. Freckles had far too many markings to count, 1 poop.

Hey hey Freckles! How are you? She is as sweet as ever! We donned her booties and then off we went. We kept our run to Legacy today. This was Freckles’ choice. Not that I objected. We ended up on this trail behind some houses overlooking a creek. She was taking in smells and I was taking in the sights. It was a win-win for both of us! But it’s always a win when I get to run this sweet girl! Thanks for the run Freckles! See you next time! Scoop: two poops and many pees.

Freckles the Grinch! That describes our run today! Run, what run, the Grinch took over Miss Freckles and she was not going to run anywhere. With the new off-leash party going on in this neighbourhood, it is very hard for her to be focused. Off-leash dogs everywhere! Is there a new law? The unfortunate part is when a dog comes running to a dog on leash it makes the leashed dog uneasy.... so really it isn’t their fault at all. Tomorrow is December Frecks and hopefully the Christmas cheer will take over from here on. Enjoy your day girl. 2 poops, 14 pees, and 88 sniffs.

Oh Archie! Oh Archie! What is wrong...? I have never seen you like this before. Archie had a hard time with other dogs today, and used maximum power to lunge towards them, barking and carrying on, which is not his usual personality. We had a difficult walk/pee break because there were a lot of other dogs out and this did not make Archie happy! And then there was Freckles. She was in a great non-exercise mood, stopping and sniffing, which was just fine with me. Every time I tried to speed things up, she reminded me who was in charge... the one with four legs, not two. Oh girl, so much Pitty attitude for such a cute dog. It was beautiful out today, so just being outside was great. Frecks had 1 poop, 7 pees. Archie had 3 pees.

Chinooks are lovely for running; especially running with Miss Freckles. Even though this girl was stubborn today, it was still a great day to get outside. Today many dogs were off-leash by the pond. I am not sure why, but this put a pause in our running time, to dodge random running dogs. Frecks was very calm considering. Unfortunately ,I forgot to put on my RK,and we lost about a kilometre and ten minutes. I was just so excited to get outside, and run. When we headed home, I gave Frecks a good wipe-down to get all her muddy parts dry. It was dirty out there today. Until tomorrow Girl! 1 poop, 18 pees - I actually counted! Crazy! 18!

Ha ha! Ok let’s face it, today was Miss Freckles' most favourite run ever by far. We decided to go a bit further on those back trails and we ended up near Freckles' favourite store! And did she ever knew she was near by; she actually dragged me there. The 2 ladies at the stores recognized her and invited us inside! No need to mention I had no say in the matter. Freckles pulled me in and started looking around like a kid in candy store. She was so happy; it was like heaven opened its door to her.. No need to say that I didn’t even exist anymore. Freckle had eyes only for her new friends, cookies. You said cookies?” or “Of course, I can have treats..” . At the end of the run, I think Miss Freckles gave me a 10 out of 10 for today!! I sure know what to do to match my best score ever. Poop Business Report: Freckles had 1 poop and 4 pees!

Miss Freckles was so happy to get out today. She was singing when she heard it was her time to get out! She loves this kind of weather. We decided to stay on those back trails and paths; less salt for the pooches to walk on. We had to be careful as we had to run over some ice- covered areas still. The sun was out and we had great time trotting alone but we ended up coming back with wet feet and a wet tummy. We got to meet those 2 Labradoodles that Freckles already knows. We also took time to take some Freckles selfies (well, she didn’t want me in the picture 🤣). After drying off Freckles' tummy and little paws, she got to enjoy some treats, well more than one, but we're not going to tell her mommy! Poop Business Report: Miss Freckles had two poops and 4 pees.

We started with four and finished with three. booties! OMG, I lost a bootie! I dropped Miss Freckles off and went on a hunt for the great purple dog bootie! Where could it be? I couldn’t find it anywhere! Bootie is MIA. It sure was beautiful out today for our dog run; we couldn’t ask for better weather, Frecks seemed to want to sniff a bit more than usual, but that was okay, we loved the break to feel the heat on our running muscles.. Athletes need chill days and Freckles is definitely an athlete. She is strong, fit, and fabulous. It is always a pleasure to spend an hour of my time with this great girl. 7 pees, and 1 poop.

Today turned out to be a beautiful sun shining day. I got to Freckles' house a bit early so that I could take Archie on an extra long pee break to enjoy today’s weather. When I arrived, it was plus two degrees and so sunny! This will be perfect for an outing. As requested, Archie’s was first, attempting to put Archie’s booties on with him pulling them off as soon as I got one on, I made the decision to go without. Next up, Freckles. It was so warm out. I took off a layer before my next outing, and that is why I decided not to put Freckle's winter outfit on; if I am hot so will she be. We had a great run. We were determined, focused and had only a few sniff breaks. What a great day for a doggy outing. Have a good one guys. Archie had 4 pees, 0 poops. Freckles had 1 poop, 6 pees.
