Have you ever heard of an Otterhound? Well, this is my first experience with this breed and I have the pleasure of having Fergus (the Otterhound) stay at my home. If he represents all Otterhounds, then here is what I have learned: 1) Otterhounds have a hound-like bark (low howl) to show there excitement. Fergus usually made this sound when greeting new strangers or when I took out the leash signalling walk-time. 2) Otterhounds can have icy beards. Fergus usually has a beard cloth as he drinks and drools. I must say it got wet but he is so darn cute! 3) Otterhounds are class clowns. They are big and funny like clown's shoes. 4) Otterhounds are social. Fergus sure liked his time with Teddy and was very keen to play. He initiated the play a lot. 5) Fergus is a bit unsure with some people but when he gets to know you, he is very loyal and sweet. We sure did bond over out time together. He really settled in. His stay included some Netflix, a daily dog walks to get fresh air, lots of backyard playtime, and a play-date at DGR Co-Owner Tammy's house with her dog Juno, Teddy, and me. I think we was smitten with Juno though Teddy is her boyfriend. Thanks again Fergus for introducing me to the world of Otterhounds.
