Echo arrived on Saturday afternoon and excitedly walked in the house and just knew her friends were waiting. I got a quick "Hi "and then “Where are they?” Waiting in the backyard for Echo’s arrival were her DGR friends, Ellie, Sophie and Aoife. Even our AARCS Foster, Apoc (called Bert) was excited to partake in the play-time party. The warmer temperatures made for perfect wrestle and running matches. With a wide range of ages for these young dogs, starting at 8 weeks - 2 1/2 years old, they all did really well together. Echo went home this morning but I do wonder if she is taking a Sunday afternoon nap? As I write this blog, all the other pups are snoring away.

All I have to hear is ‘Puppy’ and I am all in. Introducing one energetic 6-month-old cute girl….Echo. She is an absolute sweetheart with lots of character. Echo loves dogs, so she came to the right house for a little vacation. She and DGR Ellie played for almost the entire time they were together. Aoife tried to keep up with Echo, the tiny firecracker, but she ran out of steam after about 40 minutes each play session. I was absolutely amazed at how well this young girl does on leash, a real dream. She loved her time with DGR Huxley on their walk together today. Yesterday, I popped out to my Mother’s house and when Echo jumped back into the truck she was pretty sure she was going to drive. You have been a real delight little girl.
Pet Sitter: Michelle DGR RUN OF THE DAY ![]() DISTANCE: 8K DURATION: 1 hour 57 minutes Huxley’s new title is “Doggy Fitness Co-ordinator Extraordinaire.” Huxley, it is back-2-back doggy runs/walks for you today. Huxley is so popular and loved by all the DGR doggy athletes. First up, the Doodle Sisters Sophie & Ellie. This was our warm-up session. My bad for picking a solid ice trail. The girls got in their steps and Hux Pup and I got our muscles warmed up. Back to my place for a change of dogs. Second session sprinting with Aoife and some off-leash exploring. We did take 5 minutes to listen to a man that gave us a history lesson on the Irish Wolfhound, pre-Roman times. Then, our cool-down required another quick trip back to my house. Leashed & harnessed up Echo and the gang hit the pathways again. Echo is only 6 months old and was tickled pink to get out with the Infamous Tuscany Huxley. The Doggy Business Report: Huxley had 1 poop and many pees. Sophie had 1 poop and a couple of pees. Ellie just 2 pees. Echo was too excited to do anything. Runner: Michelle |
