Charlie, my boy! Happy Friday! It has been way too long since I've seen your sweet face. What are we waiting for? Let's go! We have a beautiful day outside to go and enjoy. Charlie and I started just as we left off. Close friends with lots of stories to tell and lots of catching up to do. Charlie is such a sweet boy; full of love and energy. This good boy refreshed my memory of his lovely neighborhood of Tuscany and showed me all around the route of our old stompin' grounds; it sure was nice to be back. An afternoon running with my old pal was the best way to get back into the swing of things after my little vacation down south. Even though I could feel my tan fading with every step we took on this chilly-ish day, spending it with Charlie made it all worth it. I hope I get to see you again soon, Charle! Until then, my friend! The scoop: 1 poop, 4 pees.

What a beautiful day for a run! Charlie was ready when I arrived and even whined a bit. He was so excited to get out and enjoy this day. Charlie took off right away and I had to keep up with him this time. This guy loves to dig in the snow and also check out the yellow spots along the way so after the first couple of kms, I had to convince him to keep going a few times. The snow is really soft now and each corner is a snowbank with the snowplow clearing so I can't tell you how many banks we had to climb over but I'm sure I will feel it tomorrow. I won't complain as we're both are just happy for the sunshine and can't wait for our next run. Charlie stopped about 8 times to pee and had one poo.

CHARLIE! 😊 My friend recognized me today, probably because I wasn’t wrapped up like a burrito!😜 He also decided early on that he wasn’t into serious running, It was another craptastic day out so I tried to keep him moving but then he found a stick. I can’t resist that sweet face. So that pretty much set the tone for the next hour or so😁 Charlie wanted to head into the coulee for some 4x4-ing so I agreed and when I fell down the embankment I decided I was walking! 😂 (snort, snort!) Charlie tried to help but he didn’t know how so he just stuck by me. What a sweetie! We then carried on for some more twig toss, until the ice- balls were starting to make him walk funny. At this point, I couldn’t get them off so we meandered on back to the abode. Thanks for making my day handsome! What a great way to end the week!😃 3 poos and many pees today. Cheers!

Charlie was pretty excited for our Wednesday run, I hope he didn't think I forgot about him. We were hoping it would have warmed up a bit by today but it was still pretty cold out and my phone stopped working around the 5K mark. It looks like we just stopped in the middle of nowhere. We did finish and I was glad I took a few pictures early on in the run. Charlie did great in the snow. He loves to dig as you can see by his nose that is covered in snow and ice. The path was not cleared after last night's snowfall so it was a bit of a tougher run for me, Charlie loved bounding in the fresh powder. We had a pretty good run considering the elements and Charlie met a new friend, a Chihuahua named Taco. This little guy did not seem happy about the cold but Charlie was his usual gentle self and said hi. We finished strong. Charlie stopped about six times to pee and had one poo.

Charlie had no clue who I was when I first arrived!😂 I was wrapped up so tight and then I took my glasses off and offered him a treat. His opinion changed quickly and I got my usual happy greeting.😃 Okay Charlie ,let’s go party! What else are you going to do on a day like today? I let my friend take the lead and he was pleased. It didn’t take me but a moment to figure out where we were headed (in a round about way) We went straight to the off-leash area and in an instant Charlie found himself a stick for us to play with.😊 After we made it through that part, I had to intervene. Charlie wanted to go on to the next off-leash area but he was shaking and his toes were so full of snow they were spread far apart😳 Operation ICE BALLS! My hands were cold but I tried my best to help him out and he didn’t complain once! Such a trooper! Thanks for a fantastic adventure Charlie! I’ll make it up to you next time! 2 poos and many pees today. Cheers!

Wow, what a temperature change! It was a pretty chilly run today with Charlie. If you want to get in a faster run, do it in the colder weather. Charlie loves the cold and snow so he was so ready for a run today and took off right out of the gate. I had to kick it into gear both to keep up and to warm up. He kept an awesome pace and we both enjoyed our time out on the trail, and look at that snazzy new haircut! We did not run into many others as it tends to get pretty quiet when it's cold so we had the pathway to ourselves for the most part. It's supposed to get colder but I have a feeling Charlie won't mind! I can't wait till our next run! Charlie stopped 7 times to pee and had one poo.

Oh hello Mister Charlie! I have to admit that when I read the blogs and I see a cute puppy face, I'm like.. hmm, I would love to meet that puppy one day! And guess what Charlie, the universe must have heard me. You were one of them! So nice to meet you Charlie. Since today was another awesome sunny day, Charlie and I loaded up on our fair share of Vitamin D. So today, since I was new in that neighbourhood, I counted on Charlie to direct the show by touring me around. Well, it turned out that Charlie forgot his GPS at home so we took a few GPS breaks so I could find our way home. We got to run on some groomed trails as well as sidewalks. Of course, with the ice we had to be careful. Charlie took plenty of opportunities to sniff around. He is such an angel, Charlie Angel 😇. Thank you for an awesome run Charlie. Poop Scoop: only a few pees for Charlie today!

I was very much looking forward to my run with Charlie today. It has been a crazy week and a relaxing run with this handsome guy was just what I needed. It's a beautiful day today and Charlie was happy to be out in it as well. We took our time and I let him stop and do his investigating. We stopped a few times to try to get the perfect selfie. I am not sure I succeeded but we had fun doing it. I'm sure anyone watching was amused. We said hello to some new friends on the path and made the usual stops to check and smell things. It was just had a really relaxing and fun Friday run. Charlie stopped about 8 times to pee and had one poop.

When I arrived today Charlie was napping so he slowly came around the corner and then realized it was run time He quickly perked up. We started off well today keeping a really good pace. There were a few stops along the way but overall, it was pretty steady. I did notice that Charlie seemed to be stopping quite a bit and looking into the trees. He could obviously hear or smell something that I could not so I kept him pretty close, just in case. The Chinook wind was also pretty strong so that was a bit of a challenge but overall it was a nice clean run and pretty private. There was hardly anyone out today for some reason. Looking forward to my next run with Charlie. Charlie stopped about 8 times to pee and had one poop.

Brrrr, winter has returned! But that's nothing for our Friday run. Charlie LOVES the snow so when I picked him up today and we started down the road he took off like a shot! I had to keep up with him this time. Charlie kept up a pretty good pace for the first few kms. He stopped a few times and then would take off again as he was so happy to be bounding through the snow. We did stop a few times so he could dig his nose into the snowbanks and play a bit which he loved. He also said hello to a few dogs along the way. The people didn't seem too happy about the cold but the dogs were loving it. Our run was amazing as always and we took the route home over the bridge on one of the paths, this always makes for a nice photo. Charlie stopped about 6 times to pee and had one poop.

My Tuesday run with Charlie was a bit on the crisp side so I would not be surprised if the next one was in the snow. Charlie was his usual excited self when I arrived today; very happy to go for a run We started off well but this ended up being a stop and start day as Charlie wanted to check out all there was to see and smell today. I pulled into the grass a few times as he would get fixated on a spot and was not leaving till satisfied. Which if fine, every time can't be a marathon. We carried on with our run, said hi to a couple of the dogs that we regularly run into and overall, it was a good day. There was still some bad ice out there so we tried to avoid that and did a bit of hopscotch so we didn't slip. Charlie stopped about 5 times today to pee and had one poo.

I was very happy to have a run today with Charlie. This is therapy for me as well as exercise for him. Today, I was so tired and not really feeling like I wanted to run but as soon as I arrive and called for Charlie and he came running, it immediately changed my perspective. He has so much fun outside that how can you not want to join in. Charlie was his usual amazing self and it another amazing day for a run. You really can't beat this weather and we had a pretty private outing today as well. We saw very few people on the pathway. Charlie was the King of the Hill as you can see in one of our pictures. We stopped to enjoy the view for a few minutes. Charlie finished strong and was rewarded with a treat. We both can't wait for Tuesday! Charlie did hid usual 6-8 stops to pee and had 2 poos today.

It was a cool Tuesday run with Charlie today. A bright and sunny day but with a crispness to the air. Charlie is always happy to go for a run so when I arrived and called for him he was there in a second. We have some tip-toeing to do to get out of his cul de sac as it's a bit of an ice rink right now. Once out. we were on our way. Charlie kept up a pretty good pace today. He still wanted to stop and check things out. He started sniffing quite a bit in one area and then I realized we were right beside a nasty site. The coyotes had obviously had a successful night and left a poor bunny (what was left of it) right next to the sidewalk on the main road where we run down. The circle of life but I hate seeing that! We quickly left that behind and moved on with our run. We met up with some other dogs along the way, said our hellos, and finished strong! Charlie stopped 6-8 times to pee and had one poo.

Happy Friday Charlie! Our second run of 2019 was on a very windy but bright and sunny day. Charlie was happy to see he was getting a run but once out was not too impressed with the wind, he kept looking at me with this "seriously lady?!" look on his face. He seems to enjoy the sun (no wind or rain) or the snow. We kept moving and had to maneuver around some pretty bad patches of ice that are not getting the sun so they can melt. Charlie did slow down today and needed some encouragement to keep going but those treats in my pocket seemed to do the trick. He ran behind me most of the time but kept going. Yeah Charlie! Charlie stopped about 5-6 times to pee and had 2 poops today.

Happy New Year! Our first run of 2019 and Charlie was so excited. When I got there, I had to call him a few times as I don't think he was expecting to run today but eventually he bounded downstairs ready to take on the New Year. We did a reverse run from our usual route to keep things interesting. We also went a bit longer to start things off right and so I could run off some of those holiday treats. I still can't believe that it is this nice out, compared to last year when we had weeks of -30C. This year has been amazing for runs. (I hope I didn't jinx it) Charlie had a great time. He slowed down a bit on the way home as we had a big hill to get up and he may have indulged these past couple of weeks as well. All in all, an amazing way to start 2019! Charlie stopped about 6 times to pee and had one poo.
