DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3 ![]() DISTANCE: 6.5 km DURATION: 1 hour 56 minutes Charlie, my friend, it’s always such an honour to hang out with you and what a fantastic spring-like day! My friend wasn’t up for running which was fine by me so we casually meandered about. It was a snow rolling, sniffing and social adventure with this handsome boy. We may have stopped for a small feed once or twice as well. I really didn’t want this walk to end as it’s going to be the last adventure for a while. Take care of yourself Charlie. You will be missed. Everybody deserves to have a friend like you.🥰 1 poo and several pees. Cheers! Runner: Tracy

DGR RUN OF THE DAY #4 ![]() DISTANCE: 5 km ,4 DURATION: 54 minutes Ack! That was our reaction to the weather.... Due to unforeseen circumstances, Charlie and I haven’t seen each other in quite some time. It was a most delightful reunion! First order of business today was a rather lengthy game of (yes - you guessed it) STICK TOSS! When we both had enough of that wind, the two of us decided to take cover and hit the mighty trails. We ran into some old friends. Forgive me I had a brain toot ( just trying to keep it PG) and I forgot their names but we had a nice visit. We carried on trying to stay sheltered from the wind. We saw another old friend Miss M. (Moose). She was just hanging out having a snack. After that, we moseyed on back to the castle. That for BRIGHTENING my day Charlie! I sure did miss you my friend. 1 poo and several pees. CHEERS! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #4 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 53 minutes Well, it seems like forever and a day since I’ve seen this handsome fella. But what a phenomenal way to end the week! As Charlie and I made our way through the hood’ we discussed many things and decided that we were both better off staying in our bubble.... definition of insanity “Tracy” look it up. Charlie, on the other hand, has it together. We played stick toss, visited some old friends, and just enjoyed each other’s company. It was a gorgeous day and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it, THANKS CHARLIE!🥰 2 poos and many pees. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 8.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 56 minutes Charlie! I see your sporting a burr-free hairdo.....you look spectacular! Well my friend, let’s make this an adventure like no other as this is my last run of 2020. The best part is, that it’s with you!🥰 Charlie had a little more pep in his step today and as soon as he was free from the shackles that bound him to me, he was on the hunt for that special stick. It took a while but eventually he found the right one and it was a game of stick toss like no other. Two full kilometres of bending and tossing... it’s a good thing I’m still young (no comments) Sadly, the stick was lost and we moved along. Thanks for all that you have given me Charlie! You're a true friend and I appreciate it more than you know. 3 poos and many pees today. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family! CHEERS! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 8.1 km DURATION: 1 hour 49 minutes Charlie - have you ever had one of those weeks (of course, you haven’t ) where it doesn’t matter how much you hurry, you are always late? Well, that was me all week long. So, needless to say, I’m glad it’s done and I’m especially glad I got to end it with you!🥰 My friend and I took full advantage of this delightful weather but with this above seasonal sunshine it makes for interesting terrain on the trails. Charlie, of course, meandered along gracefully but let’s just say I’m no ballerina..... and then he found himself a mighty big burr bush. Poor guy! I tried my best to get them out but without a comb it just becomes annoying (for him). Thanks for ending my week on a high note Charlie! Clearly, you had a “ BURR- EE” good time. 2 poos and several pees today. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 8.8 km DURATION: 1 hour 58 minutes Charlie and I went to the mountains today.... the urban mountains that is. My friend started sniffing with a purpose as soon as we left his domain. As usual, I being the ever so generous leader (I thought that was funny too), let Charlie’s nose guide us on our adventure today. What an adventure it was!. Three deer and a moose! How lucky are we to live in such a great place?!?!!! Besides that, everyone out was extra friendly but I suspect that had something to do with the weather. Doesn’t matter to me - I’ll take a friendly smile over the alternative any day! Thanks Charlie for taking us on such a phenomenal Friday frolic! This is one for the books! 3 poos and many pees today. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3 ![]() DISTANCE: 9K DURATION: 1 hour 43 minutes CHARLIE! This little gherkin always brightens my day.🥰 My friend and I were both feeling great today almost like we were 45 again! Not a word.... so we ran and then ran some more, it was FANTASTIC! Of course, we had to have a game of stick toss and hit a trail or two because we can. We also met some friends and had a little visit. When it came time to head back, Charlie and I looked at each other and both agreed we could go the extra mile. Because we are “Young and Wild and Free” (in our minds) Thanks for a most excellent time today my friend. Have a nap. You deserve it! 3 poos and several pees today. CHEERS! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #3 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.7 km DURATION: 1 hour 54 minutes CHARLIE! You sweet little puddin’ pop you. My friend was a little perplexed as we were staying close to home for the first little bit. Walking around the block back and fourth. He looked at me as if to say “ Have you finally lost it Tracy?!?!!!” Trust me Charlie your going to love what I have in store for you today. Surprise! Theodore and Ruth are here to party with us today. Hurray! These two kids hit it off immediately as I knew they would. As for Ruth and I..... kidding! I was so happy to have someone to talk to that can answer back! The four of us had a delightful time despite mother nature’s furry. And before we knew it we had been out for another 2 hour tour. What can I say, time flies when you're in good company. Thanks for making this a spectacular adventure Charlie, Theodore and Ruth! 1 poo and several pees. CHEERS! Runners; Tracy and Ruth DGR RUN OF THE DAY #5 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.2 km DURATION: 1 hour 40 minutes What a perfect day for a power walk with my handsome friend CHARLIE! This cutie pie always brings me lots of joy.🥰 My friend was in great spirits even though he had some dental work done earlier in the week. It must have made him feel better because on our way back Charlie found himself a stick and so we had a game of stick toss “ Olympic Style” . And then, just like that Charlie was ready to return home. Thanks for making my week Charlie! 2 poos and many pees today. Cheers! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #4 ![]() DISTANCE: 9.1 km DURATION: 2 hour 2 minutes It’s good to be alive isn’t it Charlie! My friend and I had such a joyful excursion today. Wearing our giant smiles (because that’s what happens when we see each other), we headed out and our inner GPS took straight for the trails. Along the way, we ran into a handsome little man named Luka and he was absolutely enamoured with Charlie! It was so cute that I said to his mom... “ So there will be a puppy under the tree this Christmas?!?!!” She laughed but we all know it true. After that, we made our way over to the off- leash area. Charlie was more interested in all the delightful smells that he didn’t even notice the other pups until they were all up in his business (if you know what I’m saying). After that, one short dip in the stinky pond and homeward bound we headed. Thanks for just a lovely time today my friend. Charlie you're the greatest! 2 poos and several pees today. CHEERS! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 8.8 km DURATION: 1 hour 53 minutes HAPPY FRIDAY CHARLIE! My friend was on a mission of sniffin’ today. He had no time for our usual Olympic Stick Tossing games it was all about exploring which lead us right down into the coulee. Great choice my friend! There’s nothin’ like a good old fashioned coulee crawl on a warm day to keep us cool. On our travels (in the coulee) we met a couple of city workers who were absolutely lovely! So friendly that we stopped and chatted. They told me what a wonderful pooch I had and let’s just say I agreed with them....😊 Anyways, we continued on until we found ourselves back at the ranch. Thanks for making my day Charlie! You always do! 2 poos and several pees. Cheers and enjoy the weekend. Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 7.1 km DURATION: 1 hour 24 minutes Charlie and I got an early start today to beat the heat and he did great! We ran a bit and explored some pathways that were located in the shade. It was already 20 degrees at 9 a.m. so I let Charlie set the pace. We found a little creek and some new pathways we hadn’t been down yet. I even gave him the option of wading into the water but he was content with just sticking close to me and staying in the shade. Lots of people and dogs to say hello to as well. Everyone was out early this Tuesday morning as expected. A neighbour even offered her sprinkler later if we wanted.....lol The Scoop: lots of pees and one poop. Runner: Denise DGR RUN OF THE DAY #2 ![]() DISTANCE: 9.1 km DURATION: 1 hour 54 minutes CHARLIE! I know I’m yelling but I was so looking forward to seeing my friend again as it’s been a while. This handsome fella had a little more perk in his twerk than usual and so we ran for a good 5 km! But after that, it was back to our usual lallygagging pace which involved swimming, stick toss and snacks! All good my friend as it was well deserved. What a fantastic way to end the week! Thanks Charlie you always make my world a little brighter! 3 poos (runny) and several pees. Cheers sunshine! Runner: Tracy DGR RUN OF THE DAY #10 ![]() DISTANCE; 6.8 km DURATION: 1 hour 15 minutes It was a last minute run today with Charlie. He was waiting at the door when I arrived excited to get going. We took off down the street and he did really well. It was getting pretty hot out. We rotated walking and running and took advantage of the shade when we could. Charlie is still not convinced about the doggie water bottle so I think it’s going to be a hard sell, I’ll keep trying though. On our run, Charlie does know exactly where the duck pond is and as we got closer his little ears went up and off he went. When I found him, he was neck deep in the water just sitting there with a look of relief on his face. He jumped out, did a good shake, and was pretty much dry by the time we got home. There was no stopping him this time! The Scoop: lots of pee stops and two poops today. Runner: Denise DGR RUN OF THE DAY #4 ![]() DISTANCE: 6.9 km DURATION: 1 hour 14 minutes Yeah, I got to have a run with my favourite guy Charlie today! He was waiting for me when I arrived and was ready to go. We started off a bit slow as Charlie had to get reacquainted with our route so there was some sniffing to do to make sure we were going the right way I’m sure. Charlie kept up pretty well and I started a bit early just in case it got as hot as they said it might. I also brought a doggie water bottle which he wasn’t sure about at first but did finally try near the end. We did some exploring off- leash and Charlie spotted a pond with some ducks and he was heading straight for it when I said no and he turned right around. It was funny to see his reaction, I just pictured a soaking wet dog, which would have been fine as we can always dry him off but the pond was pretty muddy and yucky looking. He’s such a good boy and always comes running when I call. The Scoop: lots of pees and 3 poops. Runner: Denise |
