I was very much looking forward to my Tuesday run with Charlie and this cute face never disappoints. I was told Charlie had been a bit slow yesterday so I watched him and yes, he was moving a bit slower so we adjusted our pace. He stopped lots and wanted to check things out and do more of a fast jaunt then a run so that is what we did. Charlie kept up pretty well but was behind me most of the way today. It was a beautiful day so I can't blame him for wanting to soak it in and enjoy. He was his usual gentle self as we greeted a few dogs on the path. A couple were just puppies but gentle giant Charlie is always so careful. Charlie stopped for about 5 pees and had one poop.

Good Friday indeed! I’m with one of my favourite easy-going pooches and even the weather can’t get us down.😊 She was a little brisk out there today so Charlie and I hoofed it to one (of many) of our favourite places to relax, enjoy and play... yup you guessed it. STICK TOSS! It’s always fun to watch my friend go on the hunt for that oh so perfect stick. He’s quite selective, don’t ya know! If it doesn’t smell or taste right he won’t touch it. I like a pooch with discriminating taste don’t you?!?!!!😂 Anyways on the last of one of our free-range stops Charlie couldn’t help himself but hit the pond for a refreshing cool down. Clearly he was working harder than I was because all I wished for was my toque! After that we made our way back to the comforts of home. Thanks for another fantastic Friday run Charlie! 2 poos and many pees. Cheers and have an Eggcellent Easter!

WOW, today was an amazing day for a run. Charlie was super excited when I arrived; jumping around and raring to go. He kept up a really great pace for the first few km's. After that, he did slow down for a bit to explore and enjoy being outside. I couldn't blame him; this was a day to enjoy. We flew around our route and added a few hills to make it a bit tougher. We have to work towards our summer bods! I could not resist taking a picture of Charlie at a fire hydrant, I'm sure he was not impressed...lol We topped it off at our hilltop spot overlooking the mountains for a beautiful picture before heading home. Another amazing run with Charlie in the books! The scoop::Charlie stopped about 6 times to pee and had one poop.

Charlie!😊 I heard that you had a really good time while you were away. So much so that you were way too tired to make last Friday’s run! All good - been there done that if you know what I’m saying😜. Charlie’s choice today. Whatever you want, I will oblige (cause that NEVER happens😂). My friend and I cruised all the off- leash areas we could possibly think of within reason. We made some friends, played stick toss, rolled in the snow, and finally made our way back to his crib. I’ve had a fantastic week and couldn’t think of a better way to end it but with Charlie. Thanks for always being so much fun to hang with handsome! 3 poos and many pees today. Cheers!

Today was our first run back after Spring Break holidays for Charlie. It turned out to be a really nice day for a run, I was a bit worried as I heard talk of rain and Charlie is not a lover of rain but the sun was out and the birds were singing. Charlie had to be coaxed a little bit as he was more interested in stopping and sniffing today and even ended up with a few burrs in his fur from digging in the bushes. However, I'm not above a little bribe or two and had treats on hand to get his attention. Despite Charlie being a bit of a slowpoke, we made it through in pretty good time and without anything major to report. We said hello to a few of the regulars who we see on our runs. We enjoyed every minute today. I can't wait for the next time. The Scoop: Charlie did his usual multiple stops to pee and had one poop.

Charlie, I think my brain is turning into mush. I’m so sorry I was late! I actually went to another dog's house and it’s a good thing I snapped out of it before I went in😳😂 Then to top it off, I couldn’t find his collar.... HAPPY FRIDAY! Anyways, after we got that “ bleep” out of the way Charlie and I were off to the races! I’m not sure what was going on with us today but our inner athletes made an appearance.... miracles never cease!😜 We ran to the very bottom of the hood’ and had a party! There’s always time for a party is Charlie and Tracy’s motto.🥳 It was a long way back to the top of the hill but my friend and I pushed forward and conquered it with determination and some snow rolls along the way.(Charlie not me😆) Thanks for making my day, handsome! See you when you get back. You will be missed. 1 poo and many pees today. Cheers!

A beautiful Spring day for our run today. The sun was out, the birds were singing, and Charlie and I were out enjoying the amazing day today! Charlie was happy to see me and excited to go today. He started out a bit slow as there is so much melting and all sorts of smells to check out. We sped things up a bit and continued on our route. We also ran into a dog walker that I swear had at least 10 dogs attached to her waist, even Charlie was amazed and watched them go down the street. They passed by with only one barking but other than that just kept in their group. I think it would be very hard to run with that many attached to you so I'm glad it was just Charlie and me. It's a bit muddy and sloppy out still but I won't complain. If it stays this warm it will be gone in no time. I will miss my runs with Charlie while he's gone but look forward to seeing him again in April. The scoop: Charlie stopped 8 or so times to pee and had one poop.

Albert Einstein said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Hmmmm, I wonder if that says something about my route choices (and character ) this week!😂 Anyways, believe it or not Charlie and I ran for 4km before the party began. Seriously folks, he was looking at me like I was insane (😜) and decided if I was going to make him run, he needed fuel to get him through it.😆 Finally, we reached our party destination. Charlie looked at me and said (in his own way) “ Now that’s more like it Tracy! “ So that’s what we did for the rest of our journey and why not? It was a gorgeous day out and I don’t think either of us had anywhere else to be.😬 Thanks for another excellent adventure Charlie! Maybe next week we will work on our speed.... or not.😜 2 poos and many pees today. Cheers!

Well, today was one of those days.....We could not find Charlie's collar so we made do; not that we were too concerned, it was more to just guide him as I have no worries that he would ever take off on me. Then Runkeeper kept pausing. We also had a bunch of ice to deal with today (boy you really notice those that don't clear their sidewalks on days like this) and poor Charlie just was not into running. He had a big weekend and I think was still tired. Even with all my encouragement and promises of treats, he was only into a light jog. Oh well, it happens and I am certainly not going to force him to run if he's not into it. We enjoyed the time all the same. There were only a few others out and they commented on how slippery it was. Hopefully, Spring is around the corner. We will re-group and I look forward to our next run. The scoop: Charlie made several stops to pee but did not poop.

Guess what Charlie and I did today?😜 We finally caught a break with the weather so I knew that this was going to be a long one.😊 My friend and I started off running like we do but today Charlie found the “Mother of All Sticks!” I just laughed because I did throw it for him a couple times and then he kept running into me with it.😳😂 Not on purpose but it was big and awkward. I confess I threw it in the trees and found him a more reasonable-sized stick. We continued on our journey with a little trail running and then dipped our toes into Scenic Acres. By the time we had reached the final stretch, this pooch was pooped! Charlie had absolutely no desire to run and that’s okay because he probably put on at least 4 more kilometres than I did. Thanks for another magnificent meander my friend! Sleep well... 3 poos and many pees today. Cheers!

A gorgeous day for a run with my favourite guy! The sun was out and it was perfect today with Charlie. He was excited and happy and we had a great time. Charlie took off right away today. There was quite a bit of ice so we had to watch our step but there were no complaints from either of us. This is the type of weather I love! We met lots of dogs and people out today. One person asked if we had seen the moose, so I guess they are making themselves well known in the area. I haven't seen them in a few days but am keeping my eye out for them. Such an amazing sight! Charlie kept up fairly well today. He did his usual stops to sniff the yellow snow and explore a bit but kept going. We took some time to take a few pictures and have a few treats as well. I tried some different angles to show off this handsome guy. I am counting down the minutes until our next run. The scoop: 8 pees and one poop.

Charlie and I had a meeting at the end of the driveway about our run today. Why we didn’t have it in the house where it was warm is beyond me!😆 Once he was satisfied that he was in charge today, we went on our merry way. Just when I thought Charlie was in for some serious running, there it was “The Golden Stick!” The Stick Gods were shining down upon my friend today (definitely not the weather gods) and that was it. His face light up and I couldn’t resist!😊 We moseyed about trying to avoid the wind as much as possible. Clearly, the weather didn’t seem to be a factor today (I lost complete track of time😬). Even on our way back, Charlie insisted we hit a short coulee trail for one last party before returning to the comforts of home. Thanks for making my day Charlie! It was great to see you again. 2 poops and a few pees today. Cheers!

What a beautiful day for a run with my friend Charlie. We waited a day to see if it would warm up a bit and we timed it just right! The sun was shining and the birds were singing. Everyone was happy it was not -25C.....finally! The mountains were beautiful as well so I could not resist taking a picture with them in the background. Charlie was super excited for his run today. He started off very well taking off like a shot. After the first couple of kilometres, he did settle down and wanted to explore a bit. Even with his slow-down, we managed to get home pretty fast so I went around the block as well to make sure he got a full hour run in. Fingers crossed that this weather holds out for a bit. The low down: Charlie did his usual 6-8 stops to pee and had one poo.

Charlie, my boy! Happy Friday! It has been way too long since I've seen your sweet face. What are we waiting for? Let's go! We have a beautiful day outside to go and enjoy. Charlie and I started just as we left off. Close friends with lots of stories to tell and lots of catching up to do. Charlie is such a sweet boy; full of love and energy. This good boy refreshed my memory of his lovely neighborhood of Tuscany and showed me all around the route of our old stompin' grounds; it sure was nice to be back. An afternoon running with my old pal was the best way to get back into the swing of things after my little vacation down south. Even though I could feel my tan fading with every step we took on this chilly-ish day, spending it with Charlie made it all worth it. I hope I get to see you again soon, Charle! Until then, my friend! The scoop: 1 poop, 4 pees.

What a beautiful day for a run! Charlie was ready when I arrived and even whined a bit. He was so excited to get out and enjoy this day. Charlie took off right away and I had to keep up with him this time. This guy loves to dig in the snow and also check out the yellow spots along the way so after the first couple of kms, I had to convince him to keep going a few times. The snow is really soft now and each corner is a snowbank with the snowplow clearing so I can't tell you how many banks we had to climb over but I'm sure I will feel it tomorrow. I won't complain as we're both are just happy for the sunshine and can't wait for our next run. Charlie stopped about 8 times to pee and had one poo.
