Upon meeting Blu it was clear where he gets his name. He has the most beautiful piercing blue eyes. We had a quick introduction with pets and we were out the door lickety-split so one of the kitties (appropriately named Houdini) didn’t escape. I have never met Blu so I was pretty cautious and tried to get a feel for his disposition. We went in and out of some trails because the sky was incredible tonight. I also was avoiding other dogs. We did see a hare, a cat, and a few dogs out and about but we were focused on getting to know one another. He sure liked my liver treats and it looked like he wanted to give me a paw shake. There were a couple of corrections when he tried to jump up or nip at the leash or my feet. Nice meeting you Blu. It is funny because that is my youngest son's b-boy name( Blu). The Scoop: 2 poos, 9 pees.
It was a puppy party and sleepover the past 24 hours. We had the pleasure of Kenny & Sully’s company in our home from Friday morning till Saturday morning. There were walks to Nosehill, several pack walks at our local off-leash park, which received several compliments about that 'good looking pack.' There was dinner and treats plus EXTRA EXTRA playtime - no bedtime curfew for this gang. Sully and Aoife (our pup) would try and play ‘chase me and my stick’. Sully is pretty quick so Aoife came close but did not quite get it. Sully & her loved playing together with Sully’s green S chew toy. Kenny was a fantastic babysitter and also guarded Aoife’s crate at nap-time. Make sure that the pup sleep, was his mission. King Kenny & Sir Sully’s time was way too short. Hope for another pack reunion real soon.

Bowie was an Energizer Bunny today! I decided to switch it up and run Fish Creek Park paths and this decision made one HAPPY dog!!! Bowie was wonderful in the car and so well-behaved everywhere! No dog, squirrel, or bird was going to distract Bowie from her fast running. It was a wonderful afternoon in the beautiful weather!! The Scoop: no business. to report.

Kenny, are you okay babysitting Aoife our new pup while Sully, Marley, and I go to Nosehill? Kenny happily obliged, he thought to have a little nap after the car ride was a good idea. Kenny, Aoife, and I sauntered over to our community off-leash park for some fun in the sun🐾😊. Well, that was fun! Time to get into weekend mode. So excited Kenny & Sully get a sleep-over. The Scoop: 4 pees, 1 poo.

I have been waiting all week for this reunion!😊 Charlie and I didn’t miss a beat. We soon settled into a comfortably pace as my friend got reacquainted with his neighbourhood.😜 Charlie and I played some stick toss, he went swimming, we walked, we ran, and we rested. Oh so delightful! Just like being on holidays, hey Charlie?!?!?😆 I’m so glad your back, I missed that sweet face. Thanks for hanging with me my friend! CHEERS! The Scoop: 14 pees, 1 poo.

Everything went well today and if you can't tell by the map , there were lots of pee stops. Archie’s jogging has really improved. We were able to do a continuous light jog with pee stops. Freckles like always is awesome. Today is my final run with these two fun pups, as I will be talking three months off from DGR! Have a great fall guys.🐾❤️ . The Scoop: 32 pees and 2 poos.

Kahlua!!! She smiled as she ran up to me. Where’s your stuffy? She immediately ran back to the living room, grabbed her stuffed gingerbread house and brought it over to me. What a cutie! It was a granny-shuffle/walk day for Kahlua and me. One foot in front of the other, as we went right, left, right, left, straight, left and right. Kahlua was enjoying the cooler weather, as she happily followed closely behind me. Great job today girl! The Scoop: 1 pee, 1 poo.
DISTANCE: 5.9 km . DURATION: 59 minutes
It was a fun walk with Marley today! I brought Skoki along, who is an energy bundle and definitely a motivator for Marley. Skoki showed Marley his fave river spot! The Scoop: 2 pees, 1 poo.

Gogol was very frisky today. Several times on this stretch we had to stop to correct this behaviour. Then he paused to roll, catch his breath and pick up a stick, There were several stops to try to distract him and calm him down. He enjoyed rolling in the grass, and just laying down watching cars and people go by. Not the speediest or longest run, but I think he really enjoyed his time outside today! The Scoop: 3 pees, 2 poos.

Today Lucy and I had perfect running weather, so I decided to push our distance a little bit to get her fitness back up. We headed over to Beddington and Sandstone Valley to enjoy those paths as a way to break up our usual loop and stay fairly flat. Lucy likes exploring new places as she’s quite snoopy and likes looking into everyone’s yards We made some route adjustments as the paths we wanted are also off-leash zones and we came across a giant pack of dogs of all shapes and sizes. That’s ok though, that just meant more yard snooping! We had some shady grass breaks so that she could cool off and catch her breath, but for the most part we just enjoyed the run! I look forward to the cooler running weather, and I think she does too! Thanks for the 9K Lucy! The Scoop:: 1 pee, 1 poo.

Zenna and I met today for the first time and what a lovely companion she turned out to be! This lady is an excellent runner, kept an amazing steady pace, but also knew how to chill like a boss. She sniffed all around, relaxed in the Stanley Park garden, and planked in the river to cool down! Her long ears flew back in the nice breeze and she seemed to enjoy the beautiful pathways and neighbourhoods of Riverdale and Rideau. Zenna has an amazing demeanour, is super friendly, and gave me good-bye kisses. I miss her face already. Ruth joined us for this run to get me acquainted with this lovely gal! The scoop: 1 poop, 4 pees.

The temperature and shady skies made both Kali and me very happy on our run today! With the rain making everything so fresh, I’m pretty sure Kali enjoyed all the new smells. We stopped for a couple minutes to investigate a clump of raspberry bushes, in particular. I couldn’t find any ripe berries but Kali thought the smells at the bottom of the plants were delightful! The community flowers are still gorgeous for so late in the summer, but Kali thought taking a rest point in a green space of thistles was the best place! Thanks for running with me, Kali! You’re always a joy! 0 poops and 0 pee breaks.

It was a little rainy at the beginning of our run but then it turned out to be a great evening for a run with Nell! We zoomed into Mission with a few quick bathroom breaks and photo ops but for the most part, it was a speedy little Friday night run! Thanks for another great workout Nell. See you again Sunday!! The Scoop: 1 pee. 1 poo.

Bowie, thanks for being patient as I got called away to run DGR Dog, Bouvier Zenna. I wanted to make this run a good one that included exploring my old running route in Fish Creek Park. Bowie really enjoyed the trail I picked that had a mix of river stops, paved pathway and grassy hills. I think she will sleep well tonight as we got an 11k in the books. This may be my last run for a bit as DGR Runner Nancy is back and lives in Bowie's neighbourhood. Big kisses to Bowie for being an excellent running partner! The Scoop: 4 pees, 1 poo.

A spring in his step! Rossi was ready and waiting when I arrived. I got a full height greeting, almost knocking me over, you gotta love dogs! No games today, he sat straight down for me to put his harness on and we were off. We took a different route today, hoping to get a more continuous run in today since it wasn't as hot. We made it all the way to Shouldice Park Dog Park and back before stopping for a drink and paddle in the river. The Scoop: 5 pees, 1 poo.
