We have had the pleasure of having Princess Callie as our houseguest for the last 5 1/2 weeks. Having known Callie for almost two years, when I found out that she was in need of a sitter for an extended period I didn't hesitate to take her! She is quite a loveable pup who, over the last month, has worked her way into everyone in my family's heart! We established our routine of meals, walks, naps and cuddles that everyone became very accustomed to. She even came with us on a trip to Fernie, and thoroughly enjoyed playing by the river, with the snowy mountains in the background. Now Callie is more a "people" dog in that she much prefers the company of humans over dogs. But even her and Juno established a level of comfort with each other. It was neat for me to watch them walk so happily side by side twice a day, or even play with each other in my backyard. I do think that over this last week Callie was starting to feel that this staycation was getting a little long, as she took to sitting by the door that she last saw her human 'mom' go through. But my goodness was she ever happy when she realized she was going home today. (See video) We are going to miss you Miss Callie! We look forward to seeing you next time, as we will definitely take advantage of the offer to come and visit, and we hope you come visit us again too!
