For the love of Jersey! What a fantastic run!! I was feeling kind of “blah” today and my whole outlook changed when Jersey and I hit the trails. We had a gorgeous view of the city and the mountains as we ran through some ploughed trails and some that had pretty deep snow (it was a great calf workout). We saw geese in “v” formation and airplanes in the sky. Best of all, the sun shone and it wasn’t cold. Jersey kept checking in with her big, brown eyes and beautiful smile. It was such a wonderful way to spend an hour on New Year’s Eve day. I feel blessed. Pee=3 Poop=0 Runner: Rosemary

Jersey and I had lots of fun running in the snow this afternoon! Jersey was full of fun, sprinting with me sporadically and always focused! We met a black lab (I think) named Sadie and a husky pup named Luna. Luna had magical, blue eyes. We ran near a place I used to work almost 10 years ago. We passed lots of yummy food places and I heard my stomach growl. Near the end of the run, we hit the little park near Jersey’s place and raced each other through some really deep snow! It was great fun. Pee=3 Poop=1. Runner: Rosemary DISTANCE: 8.98km DURATION: 1:12:18

We stayed fairly close to his house and just went in and out of the streets there. Carl was holding his left back leg up for parts of the walk, so I ensured we went slow. Carl had two pees and no poops. Runner: Joanna ![]() DISTANCE: 6.93 KM DURATION: 1:04:17 Abby and Jake enjoyed the park so much yesterday, we decided to head back there again today. Watching them play together is so funny. They make their play sound so aggressive, but are so easy going with other dogs. When Abby ran off to sniff around on the other side of the park, Jake was very concerned that she wasn’t close by and went looking for her. He also helped move her along when we needed to leave, going back and nosing her in the right direction! It’s a very cute bond that they have. Abby peed once and pooped once, Jake had many pees and one poop. Runner: Elizabeth ![]() DISTANCE: 5.73 KM DURATION: 1:01:22 Abby is pretty funny when we go on our runs together, she knows that we are headed for the dog park once we get on our route, and is so enthusiastic in her running. She also knows when we’re headed back home and dawdles all the way back, taking a sniff here, a sniff there! She makes me laugh every time; Jake is just so happy to be on an outing that he’s game to go anywhere! We had a good little romp at Sue Higgens today, Abby and Jake hunted field mice again. Both were very good listeners at the park, and when it was time to get leashes back on and head home. Abby had one pee, no poops, Jake had multiple pees, one poop. Then, off we went to explore the neighborhood and ventured new streets, familiar ones, saw nice humans who greeted us, squirrels and birds flying everywhere. I started to get very interested in a squirrel going up a tree but Claudia distracted me by singing a song about me!! No poops for me and 3 pees!!! Meanwhile, Kash sidled up to me for a few pets and nuzzles. Once Talus was calm enough to harness up, we were off. We weaved through garbage and recycling cans all the way up the hill. Talus was like an old pro, weaving in and out. We took the pathway and headed for the mountains. The view was breathtaking. I took some photos but they just didn’t do the moment justice. We looped back and suddenly saw two deer quietly lounging in the snow. Talus was so quiet as I tried to get photos (again, not doing the moment justice). Then we sped back home and Talus was rewarded with a milkbone treat. It was a beautiful morning run that I got to enjoy with a really cool dog. Thank you, Talus Pee=4 Poop=0 Runner: Rosemary |
