Rowdy and I had a great weekend together from lounging around on the couch to walking by the Bow River. We had an absolute blast! This lovable pup is by far one of the sweetest I have met, and he followed me around wherever I went! He was a great housemate and I miss his wiggles and his smile already. They made it so hard for me to leave without taking him home with me! It was great meeting you Rowdy, I wish all the best to you!

![]() DISTANCE: 9.64 km DURATION: 1:12:09 Quinn & I flew out the door this morning! Usually, protocol suggests a warm-up except when there is a rabbit antagonizing an eager pooch. You just run and try and catch it😂. I thought with this start, we would be sprinting the whole hour. Sunday rules kicked in after the inevitable ’No Success’ on the bunny front. Quinn got a lot of sniffing in and every so often I had to remind her it's cold out here! Another peaceful and fun outing. I promise to be better acclimatized for our next run. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop, 6 pees, and many sniffs.🐾 Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 10.00 km DURATION: 1:01:08 Happy Sunday, Nell!!! We wasted no time getting started today not only because we were so excited but because it was FREEZING! Minus 1?! Yuck! Come on Nell, we need to warm up ASAP! We soared around the river today, adding a little extra to our usual loop. We needed to escape the mass of people taking selfies!! I have never seen so many selfies being taken at once in my life, I am really kicking myself for not getting a selfie with all the other selfies! Dang it! Next time. Anyways, we had a great speedy run. This may be our last time together before the snow falls! Crazy! We shall see Wednesday. Have a good rest of your Sunday, Nell! The scoop: 1 pee. Runner: Paige ![]() DISTANCE: 10.26 km DURATION: 1:15:35 How is my ’Weekend Gal’? Quinn was feeling extra Zen today. We agreed to call today's crisp & cool outing a jog 🐾. We had no need for speed, just that rhythmic pace of being in sync and one. This gal is just the best Weekend Gal. See you tomorrow sweetheart for some more Fall beauty. The Doggy Business Report: 1 poop and over 8 pees. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 7.15 km DURATION: 1:11:30 It was a beautiful view on one of the last days of September. I had this photogenic guy with me today and boy did we kick it into top gear! Well, not really, but we went much further than we normally do and Ennis was very excited when we threw this giant log all over the dog park. It got stolen eventually, but we did a couple more trails and then headed home. Great job, my boy! You're an amazing companion to run with. Scoop: 1 poop and several pees. Runner: Sarah ![]() DISTANCE: 6.06 km DURATION: 57:30 Happy Fri-Yay girls! Good news! It’s not snowing. But it’s cold enough that jackets are required. After a boot adjustment, the three of us were off for a brisk walk. Don’t you just hate it when it feels like something’s in your boot? It was like the proverbial pea under the mattresses for Gibbons. Not that she’s a princess. She’s been tough as nails with her recovery! We had a beautiful walk past all the Autumn colours. When it was just Toki and me, we got our speedwork in and I finally got to see the new paths they built past the pond. While the paths were great and have opened up a new running route, there was some mud along the way. This meant shower-time for Toks once back home. Sorry!! Scoop: one of each for Toki and two pees for Gibbons. Runner: Tammy ![]() DISTANCE: 8.04 km DURATION: 1:00:45 Today was my first run after having done the Half Pint of the Golden Ultra last weekend, and while I thought I was recovered, my left hip and my knees begged to differ. Apparently stretching and recovering after an accumulative 45 km is important. The Juno’s didn’t seem to mind this slower pace though, as they were happy to play with each other and were also content with the treats that they both received. I have a new theory that Juno F. only stops running and lays down because she wants a treat, not because she’s actually tired. So, we took it pretty easy this morning as I’m not quite as recovered as I thought I was, but we had a fun morning nevertheless. The scoop: 1 poo and 3 pees for Juno F. Runner: Taylor ![]() DISTANCE: 8.36 km DURATION: 53:23 Autumn weather is upon us again today, but the lovely kind of weather. It was cool, clear, and very colorful. This will likely be my final run for the immediate future as I begin my new career next week. I hope to return come spring, but I won't know for certain until closer to then. Lincoln was as enthusiastic as ever to socialize with any and all of the other dogs we crossed paths with but today was all about running as long as possible in the window we had. Scoop Score: #1 x many, #2 x2. I'll miss our regular runs Lincoln,. Stay safe through the winter! Runner: Michael DISTANCE: 9.19 km DURATION: 53:23
Today, Gogol achieved something quite spectacular. When I stepped into his home to come in, he was patiently waiting at the door. First of all, there was no barking whatsoever. Then, I reached for the harness, and normally Gogol would walk away or sort of do a doggy-frown of shame when I go to put his harness on. But, not today! He actually stepped forward and bowed his head like an Olympian accepting a gold medal. About the run: It was an average Gogol and Ryan run, and long story short, Gogol had some off-leash time and we still managed to get 9km. I'd say, we killed it. Runner: Ryan ![]() DISTANCE: 6.51 km DURATION: 1:02:45 Well done, Fall. You've outdone yourself today. Marley and I found a perfect autumn morning to stretch out our legs. Not too hot. Not too cool. We had only a meandering path along a perfectly still reservoir, and soaring group of birds to keep us company. And I'm choosing to believe that Marley was continually opting to rest, in an effort to take in the gorgeous view. Surely the liver treats in my pocket that were dutifully awarded when he started moving again bared little weight. Marley and I took every opportunity this morning to gaze at the horizon, as we kept an easy pace. Well, except for the times when Marley needed to roll in the grass. And except for the time when the call of liver treats was too tempting. Thanks for the kisses on the outside of my treat pockets, Marley. You never cease to amaze me and make me laugh. Well done, Marley. You've outdone yourself today. The scoop: 2 poops, 8 pees. Runner: Sheri ![]() DISTANCE: 5.64 km DURATION: 1:08:36 This morning's walk with Byrdie and Teddy was all about using our senses to enjoy the journey. As for sight, we looked at lots of great street art and grafitti. Teddy was eager to pose but Byrdie was a girl on a mission so we did not capture her in front of many colourful walls. We also saw some gorgeous sunflowers that brightened our moods. As for sound, we did hear a meowing cat. It was so loud that I thought it may be in heat (I have experienced my own cat in this situation and let's gets say, it is LOUD!) As for touch, I think Byrdie gave Teddy lots of kisses. Today, we also went up several flights of stairs so I think they could feel the burn of the workout! Lastly, Byrdie found a bone using her keen sense of smell and tasted it only briefly as I was on it and took it away. The scoop; 1 poo and 1 pee for Miss Byrdie. One more thing to mention: Byrdie's mom told me that she told her that Teddy was coming over and Byrdie's excitement level picked up right away. I love how dogs gets excited to see their pals too! Walker: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 8.16 km DURATION: 1:05:20 LUCY! Sweet Cheeks! It’s been way too long and you haven’t change a bit. You're still the happiest dog in the world!😊 Well, at least I think so.... What a great way to end the week. My old friend and I got caught up and then hit the streets running. Unfortunately for Lucy, I’m still sick so I felt like I was holding her back but she told me (with her smile) it was okay!👍🏿😜 We perused about enjoying each other’s company. It was fairly quiet which was nice for a change. However, we did run into a little cantankerous pooch. Lucy doesn’t really favor little dogs (with good reason) It’s okay Lucy, sometimes they scare me too!😳 We then hit the open field, eventually making our way back to where we started. Thanks for your patience my friend, it was really good to see you again.😊 Keep on smiling! 2 pees for Lucy today. Cheers! Runner: Tracy ![]() DISTANCE: 6.44 km DURATION: 58:27 Great run with Zeke today! He was excited to see me even though I wasn't sure at first if he wanted to go running. Once we got on the trails, he was happy to go! It was still quite wet on the path and muddy but he loved it. He especially loved the bridge area with grass on both sides. He was jumping side to side! Too cute!! We stopped to sniff the grass and leaves. Autumn is very beautiful!! He was so sweet upon our return home and just stood there patiently while I cleaned his paws! He was super excited when I filled up his treat ball! Great times Zeke! It was great to spend time outdoors with you! 2 pees and 0 poop. Runner: Oxana ![]() DISTANCE: 10+ km DURATION: 1:10:10 TGIF Nell!! Another week down, Wahoo! Sorry, I am a little later today, but I promise I'll make it up to you by having an extra speedy run. Our actual distance was just over 10km I am not sure why my Runkeeper jumped so far at the end. We zoomed to the river this afternoon; wasting no time. Lots of construction down in East Village and along the water. They are really doing a really nice job of fixing up the boardwalk. Once all the new wood paneling is down and benches are in, Nell and I will definitely have to do a little photo shoot down there. It's going to be beautiful! For now, the yellow leaves and wide open pathways will just have to do. This speedy gal is very quick when trying to take her picture but when I get her looking she sure is photogenic! Thanks for always making my day Miss Nell. I'll be back for a speedy run Sunday! No scoop today. Runner: Paige ![]() DISTANCE: 5.77 km DURATION: 57:22 Kahlua just wanted to sniff absolutely everything today, I don’t know if it’s the Fall leaves triggering it or what but it made it difficult to run today as she was adamant. But she enjoyed herself nonetheless. When I first got there, she brought me her monkey to play with so we spent a little time playing before we headed out. She also attempted to catch a few squirrels today, it was about the only thing she would take her nose off the ground for, Silly girl! The scoop: 1 poo and a zillion pees. Runner: Eve |
