Jersey and Dodge were awesome! We had a great, though short, time together. Here are a few of the highlights:
Jersey LOVES her Frisbee, as I'm sure you know. We spent quite some time playing with it. She sure is a smart cookie and knows how to keep Dodge from getting it! Dodge and I played a bit of tug o' war with the Frisbee as well, though he doesn't seem to understand he's supposed to try to take it away. Whenever I would let go, he would push the frisbee into my side until I grabbed it again. He also enjoyed getting his ears scratched, I could not resist giving his floppy ears some good scratchin'! I had no idea that Jersey was such a big cuddle buddy! When we headed to bed she splayed herself across my lap and insisted on giving me endless kisses. When it comes to cuddles in bed, Jersey knows no personal space haha! Unless it's from Dodge, of course. These two seemed to refuse to be on the bed with me at the same time. In the morning, we headed out to the green space, Jersey really wanted to play with me but I hadn't brought her ball (rookie mistake!). I definitely made up for it when we got back home though. Dodge was content to run around having his own leash, bucking like a bronco. What a fun time! Pet Sitter:Gabi

I was very much so looking forward to my weekend with the the trio of Kaiser, Kacie and Pink. When I arrived in the morning, Pinky (as always) was so excited to see me. She does this little wagging tail, get low kind of dance that makes me smile. Meanwhile, Kai is running through my legs and Kacie is telling him to stop. Always an introduction with those three! The weather was on and off for most of the weekend so we tried to make the best of it whenever we could! Mom told me there were coyotes in some of the off-leash areas we normally frequent, so I kept an extra close eye on Miss P! In fact, I would take the girls on their own then take Kai out on his own for some one on one bonding (ball) time. We all got caught in the rain a couple times, which no one seemed to really care! The girls were funny when it came to bed-time. Pinky needed to be on the pillow while Kacie politely laid at the end of the bed. Kaiser would try to get close, which resulted in Pink going to his face to bark and growl, and Kacie showing him her teeth from the comfort of her spot. Sorry Kai, I guess this is a GIrls' Slumber Party! Kai and I even made amends at the end of each day with him laying down and staying there as I exited the house. This was a great success for BOTH of us. Thanks for all the slobbery kisses all weekend guys!
Pet Sitter: Cayley ![]() DISTANCE: 8 km DURATION: 1 hour 8 minutes It was a hot one today for Miss Zenna. After a bit of a slow start which included sitting under trees for the breeze, she found her legs and off we went on a nice stroll together. There really wasn't a planned route today, but Zenna was agreeable to whichever direction we turned and, as a result, got a special treat of not one, but two planks in the water, one on the out and one on the return. She truly was loving every minute of being in that crisp water. I think someone is going to have a good nap this afternoon. Thanks, Zenna, for a lovely time! The Scoop: 2 poops and a whole lot of peeing. Runner: Cheryl ![]() DISTANCE; 10.2 km DURATION: 1 hour 17 minutes Oops, Kali, I had Doggy Logs on Check-In Mode. My bad!!! No map today. This is one of our special routes. Hawkwood Drive onto Arbour Lake Dr onto John Laurier. Then up Hawkwood Hill (OMG puff puff). Our distance just over 10 k. Once again, it was like floating with this sweet gal . We definitely have kicked off our long weekend! The Scoop: 3 pees. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 5.4 km DURATION: 54 minutes Whew! I got my sweat on today! Kahlua and I were walkers today, but we were fast and going non-stop. We saw a couple squirrels; Kahlua chased one up a tree. We conquered some hills as per usual, and even went up and down the Glencoe Stairs. What more is there to say, today is/was/will be a good day. Excellent job Kahlua! The Scoop: 3 pees, 1 poo. Runner: Ryan ![]() DISTANCE: 9.4 km DURATION: 1 hour 46 minutes Charlie and I had an excellent time today!😊 We actually got in some serious running (light jogging😬) before beating around the bush, lallygagging, and getting sidetracked - you get the gist.😂 Charlie was a bit of a social butterfly today so we made some new friends. Then the coulee was calling to us and that’s when we lost track of time. It does that to you, sucks you in and then spits you out just at the right moment. We then hit one last trail and I could tell my friend was done because running was no longer happening. Thanks for another fantastic outing Charlie! CHEERS! Runner: Tracy ![]() DISTANCE: 7.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute It was great to meet and run Rossi today, I think it took him a little while to figure me out, but once we got going we were on fire! We pushed it up the big hill to the hospital and I wish I could have known our time for that segment because it felt awesome! This guy sure can run. He's always got a goofy face on, when his tongue hangs out when he pants. It always looks a little too big to fit in his mouth! Around the 40 minute mark, Rossi seemed to slow down a bit, though he may have just noticed how close we were to home. We had to make some evasive maneuvers since as we still had lots of time to go! I hope I did Rossi justice as his runs with Allison and others look totally epic, I know I got great workout today! The Scoop: 5 pees. Runner: Gabi ![]() DISTANCE: 9 km DURATION: 1 hour 8 minutes Today Lucy and I were in a constant game of 'mouse hunt or poop'. It's always a race to see if I can spot what she's sniffing or before she does and I'm pleased to say that it was a tie! 😂 Luckily, she's a good girl and didn't eat anything. We enjoyed as many of the trails as Confluence Park had to offer, and were lucky enough to find a new one! By the time we found it though, we were almost done and Lucy was pretty tired so we headed home for some park belly rubs and house snuggles. It was a great hour, and I know she had fun because we was more than ready for her nap! Thanks for the awesome hour Lucy! I'll miss you this month! The Scoop: 2 pees. Runner: Laura ![]() DISTANCE: 8.6 km DURATION: 1 hour 17 minutes The gals and I had quite the adventure today! As there was no plan of attack we just played it by ear and everyone had some say in which way to go. Yes, even me! Mona, Reilly, and I headed for the path and then into the coulee for a quick slurp. Up to the streets we hopped on over to Scenic Acres and partied our way back. I wasn’t ready to call it quits yet so the three of us trotted along until we couldn’t ignore the calls of the coulee any longer. So back down to the trails until the gals decided they had, had enough! Thanks for a most delightful adventure Mona and Reilly! I had a great time! CHEERS! Runner: Tracy ![]() DISTANCE: 4.3 km DURATION: 1 hour 12 minutes Momma Marley😊, that greeting is a little hint of what is in store for today's walk. Hux Pup is on holidays with his humans, but don't be disappointed. DGR Little Lola is waiting in the Jeep. She is a few months older and ready to play🐾. This is a perfect day for even more change!! Off to Baker Park for a fun river walk. These two poochies do so well together. Sort of like Big Sister and Baby Sis. The way they look at each other just melts my heart. You two have a sleepover booked at my house later in September. A great ”Girl Friends” Day. The Scoop: 3 pees, 1 poo. Runner: Michelle ![]() DISTANCE: 5.0 km DURATION: 1 hour 6 minutes Molson put on a great display of balancing his chew toy between his feet and rolling on his back so I just had to get a couple of pictures of this great juggling act. He then proceeded to do his favourite back rub so he is definitely feeling good about life. He met up with the Black Lab who once again decided that licking Molson was the thing to do - let’s just say Molson was tolerant. The Scoop: 4 pees. Runner: Bob ![]() DISTANCE: 7.12 km DURATION: 1 hour 5 minutes Today was a perfect day with Nikita and Lucy! Neither of them were in a hurry to get anywhere or do anything, so we just happily ran along at a really steady pace; stopping occasionally for pee and sniff breaks. We didn't even get tangled in the leashes! We went and checked out some new paths in Harvest Hills which the girls loved. We also scouted some soon to be opened paths that look really good! Towards the end of the run, we took a few more shade breaks, and by the end had easily breezed through 7 km. All in all, it was a perfect day, and judging by the constant smiles and snuggles from Nikita and Lucy, I think they would agree! Thanks for the great run girls! No poops for either, 3 pees for Nikita, and the rest for Lucy! Runner: Laura ![]() DISTANCE: 6.1 km DURATION: 1 hour 1 minute I was so happy to get the chance to run this cutie again! I cannot gush about him enough! He is an awesome running partner who is so polite and easy-going, and a real looker too. We didn't seem to go as fast as our last run together, Bear reminded me to relax and enjoy this fabulous weather while we still have it! It also meant we got to take some breaks for pets and cuddles. Even when he wanted to chase squirrels and stare down a cat, Bear listened really well. He sat and waited nicely when other excited dogs passed by, Bear really is a dream to run with. He's a smart cookie for sure, I hope he enjoyed our morning together as much as I did! The Scoop: 10 pees, 1 poo. Runner: Gabi ![]() DISTANCE: 5.3 km DURATION: 54 minutes Kahlua and I did some speedwalking on this quite morning. We strolled through the bottom part of Earl Grey Park where grass and branches were overgrown onto the trail. Kahlua stopped a couple of times to smell some of the little purple flowers that grew in tiny patches. Kahlua was a happy girl on our outing, as we passed a couple of dogs and she didn’t even get anxious or bother barking at them. Great job today Kahlua! The Scoop: 3 pees, 1 poo. Runner: Ryan |
