![]() DISTANCE: 9.08 km DURATION: 1:00:19 Good morning Juno! What a nice smile you always have for me! Let's greet the day with that smile and a run. It was a beautiful morning for a run with blue skies, and fluffy white clouds. I think all three of us were just enjoying being outside on such a nice day. After an exuberant greeting from my Juno, we set off with a very steady pace, with the pups only pausing to do their business. It wasn't especially speedy, or eventful, but I think that's what we all enjoyed about it! Thanks for the run Juno! The scoop today: only pees. Runner: Tammy

Ruby was not eager to go for a run with the new stranger. Although hesitant she took her steps carefully. Her assertiveness let me know when to run and when to slow down. She seemed to enjoy running in the field and up and down the hill. We passed a house where a dog lived. It barked at us and Ruby let me know to reroute. As soon as we started heading back home, she quickly picked up the pace. She was kind enough to let me take a few pics. The scoop: 2 pees and no poops. Sam didn't hear the garage today so when I first walked in he was nowhere to be found, until he heard me call his name and he bounded down the stairs like a maniac. He was in an extra goofy mood today which is always my fave! He does this thing if I don't start the run fast enough when we get outside that he bounces like tigger until we get going. I decided we should probably have some off-leash time to evacuate some of his extra energy and boy was he happy. He ripped around like he was being chased by a monster! The last photo was nearing the end of the end of the run and I laughed as he huffed and puffed with his tongue out the side! This will be my last weekday run for a little bit until I sort out my schedule as I'm starting a new job tomorrow so thanks for making it extra fun Sam! ❤ Lots of pees and three quite runny poops. Boy was Desi eager and full of energy today. I always know she is extra eager when she holds the leash in her mouth for the first part of the run. We headed down to Griffith Woods and had a great time. The sun was shining and the snow was soft and fluffy. Given the nice day, I was surprised how few dogs we met - but then, we did stick mainly to the narrow trails. Desi likes those trails better since she can easily sniff both sides of the trail. On the way back, Desi cooled off with several rolls in the snow. Scoop: 1 poo and 1 pee. Runner: Mario DISTANCE: 8.35 km DURATION: 1:03:43
Part way through my run with Abby and Reilly this morning, I really felt like I was in the middle of a girls night out. Ok, ok so it was a morning out, but all the other usual elements were there. 1) Great shoes - on me, absolutely! 2) Great food - ok so I didn't eat anything, but Abby and Reilly seemed to really enjoy the occasional snack from my magic pocket. 3) Little bit of dancing - LOL, again that was me as I periodically kicked and spun to untwist my two companions after our sniff breaks. 4) Lost in a good time - it was impossible to not love the morning sun on some of the most peaceful trails I've seen in Calgary. What a beautiful place to run. It was very nice to meet you, Abby and Reilly. Thanks for the perfect morning. The scoop: Abby 3 pees, 1 poop - Reilly 9 pees, 1 poop. Runner: Sheri A day of bushwhacking through the Aspen Forest. This always makes for a great morning for Molson and Roxy. They love the runs through the deep snow and a chance to chew on a twig. Molson stopped and chewed off the snow balls between his paw pads, but otherwise we all enjoyed the sunny morning. One poo each, plus two pees for Roxy and many for Molson.

Hello Buster! You seem happier today... me too! Shall we? Buster and I being in a much more cheerful mood than last time, headed out footloose and fancy free! Whatever happens, happens... what happens in Mckenzie Towne, stays in Mckenzie Towne!😬 Well unfortunately for those of you reading this blog nothing exciting happened today. Fortunately for Buster and I nothing exciting happened today on our adventure. It was smooth sailing. Buster and I didn't run into anyone, it was quite pleasant and before we knew it we were back. Time flies when you're having fun! Thanks for the great run today Buster! Keep on smiling😊! 5 poos (not solid) and several pees/leg lifts(😂) today for Buster. Runner: Tracy ![]() DISTANCE: 6:52 km DURATION: 1:09:08 Both Indy and Jasper have been on holidays so Teddy and I were really excited to see these boys today. I had just finished walking Kenny and Teddy and it was the noon hour so my energy was a bit zapped and my stomach was rumbling. No worries as these 3 doggies were raring to go. The fun part was that as I walked them I had Indy (a Chocolate Flat-coated Retriever) on one side and Teddy (a Chocolate Rescue X) on the other and Jasper ( a Golden Retriever in the middle) so I kept thinking they were like an Oreo cookie with the chocolate outside and creamy middle. Yes, I was hungry. It was a really nice surprise when I dropped off Jasper and his mom had healthy, yummy cookies straight out of the oven for me. The dogs had such a great play today. Indy was right by my side which reflects his loyal sweet disposition. Jasper was the social greeter and made friends with all humans we encountered. Teddy was the dog most interested in chasing other dogs which makes sense as he is a playful guy. Three great dogs with three exceptional and different personalities. The scoop: Jasper: 1 poop and many, many pees. Indy had 4 pees only. Welcome home Indy and Jasper; it is great having you back! Runner: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 7.06km DURATION: 1 hour 7 minutes Today, Sully got his first DGR pee breaks and he was a champ. I took him out pre and post running his brother Kenny. The scoop: 1 poop, 2 pees, lots of tail wagging and a few puppy cuddles. Today, Kenny and Teddy had some great running at River Park with other dogs in addition to their walk. However, the real highlight was their tug 0' war with a large stick. I tried to catch the many stages of their stick being exchanged. Kenny would have the stick and then Teddy would get down on his front paws and bark at Kenny until a game of chase ensued. Teddy managed to take away the stick and then at one point instead of competing for ownership, they decided to share. It was a cute moment that rivalled my time with puppy Sully. The Scoop for Kenny: 1 poop and 6 pees. Runner: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 8.98 km DURATION: 1:02:25 Lincoln and I had a wonderful time together; the sun was shining, the sidewalks were pretty clear, and we got to check out some pretty amazing views. We headed along some different streets again today and successfully passed quite a few walkers. We passed a jogging dog that caught Lincoln’s attention despite a treat distraction, as well as a home with a large dog that took quite a few prompts to get Lincoln to calm down and walk on by. Near the end, we came across some construction workers carrying supplies which I was expecting Lincoln to react to, but he totally ignored them which was really great to see. As usual, we ended our time together with a roll in the snow by the front door. Until next time Lincoln! One poop and three pees today. Runner: Christine ![]() DISTANCE: 9.61 km DURATION: 1:02:58 An outing with Lucy who I call Lulu always brightens my day. She greeted with me with Mr. Zebra in her mouth and was so squiggly with excitement. I wonder if she thought I was her regular DGR Runner the lovely Michelle. On our last outing I got distracted and got lost so my mission today was to find Confluence Park where I have done many a run. It meant that Lucy and I did some trail running to get to the right path but I think she ❤️ it as she had a few opportunities to bury her nose in the snow. We saw a couple of off-leash dogs so we did some hill work instead of passing . It was so nice to have a stress free run with such a sweet, smooth running dog. Thanks Lulu! The scoop: 2 pees and no poos. Runner: Ruth ![]() DISTANCE: 12.23 km DURATION: 1:05:23 It was a little bit cooler today than it was over the weekend, but that didn't bother Nell at all. She wanted to run as soon as we left her building. We briefly stopped for a potty break, and then it was off to the races. It was full speed ahead. We didn't see any other dogs and she always ignores other runners. Nothing seemed to distract her until she noticed some geese by the river banks. She just stopped and stared at them and tried to get closer to them. No thanks, Nell, I've had my share of run ins with geese. We'll keep our distance. We made excellent time around the pathway and we were back home before I knew it. Thanks for the workout Nell! One pee and one poop. Runner: Bryan ![]() DISTANCE: 6.68 km DURATION: 58:00 At first he was shy (see photo). Once outside Sam led the way. He sure kept me on my toes and it was a challenge keeping up with him. We ran and made some pee stops and a lot of sniffing stops. We ran into a few unleashed dogs which Sam did not approve off. I distracted him with running which worked most of the time or had to use treats a couple of times. The scoop: 5 pees and 1 poop. Runner: Valeska ![]() DISTANCE: 5.77 km DURATION: 56:55 From Molson: Hey all DGR dogs how do like the SIZE of my stick!!!? I left it behind after the off-leash part of my run. So if you're in the area, feel free to have a play with it. It's so heavy and you can really sink your teeth into it. 🐾😁 From Liz: It turned out to be a fun run today even though I couldn't feel my fingers for the first 15 minutes of being outside. We saw some running friends of mine who love Molson and Roxy and met an 8 year old very light colored Golden Retriever and were able to play for a few minutes. It's always so great to see dogs playing in the snow. I got a shot of M&R having fun at the end of the run😄 1 poop for both dogs. Molson had about 20 pees and Roxy had 2! Runner: Liz ![]() DISTANCE: 8.12 km DURATION: 1:08:26 Happy Monday Sadie and Loki! Today I decided that the three of us were going to have a Monday Fun Day😁 Woo woo! I brought a ball with me, let the excitement commence. We headed out and I released these kids from their chains and the party began. Sadie was kind enough to let Loki have the ball for a while and then I think she got a little impatient😳😂. They are so funny running around, talking to each other constantly, then a quick stop drop and roll. Where's my treat? So cute! Okay, let's get some running in (for me). We hit the streets for a bit and back for some more playtime. I couldn't help myself they were having such a good time. Back to some serious running and home we went. Thanks for the fun afternoon Sadie and Loki! They are such a joy to run😊! 1 poo for both Sadie and Loki and approximately 5 pees each. Runner: Tracy |
