![]() DISTANCE: 7.38 km DURATION: 1:02:07 Good morning Miss Freckles. I am so happy to see you. I think she was thrilled to see me too as she knew it was running time. We got ready quickly and out we went. Just like the past few days, we stayed on safe dry paths around the neighbourhood. We ventured on to some side streets a bit just to change the scenery but we decided to come back on the main sidewalks. I'm afraid that ice is here to stay a bit longer. Winter, go away!! 😃 We stopped few times to take some selfies; well Freckles' selfies. She approved of all the ones we took to be posted on the blog. We had a fun run. The weather was awesome again today. Freckles got her paws dried once back home and enjoyed some treats for a well done run. 👍 Freckle had 1 poop and 3 pees. Runner: Fab

![]() DISTANCE: 1.12 km DURATION: 52;57 To the park we went! Kenny and Sully had a blast playing fetch today. I even remembered to bring along three balls so Kenny would have the chance to play too; Sully likes to have as many of the orange chewy balls in his mouth at a time as possible! We met two other dogs and everyone exchanged pleasantries. Really today was all about chasing and chewing the balls! Both Kenny and Sully took many stops for marking, as well as both a pee and poop break for each. We also had a nice family cuddle for a while once we got back home. Biggles sure does love being part of the action! Pet Sitter: Christine ![]() DISTANCE: 6.02 km DURATION: 1:03:47 Today, I walked in on a party! Both dogs were singing and barking and dancing around so much that it was hard to get their leashes on! With one of the last super nice days to run, I totally can understand their anxiety to get outside and go. We initially ran pretty quickly, but the heat started to get to Lucy and by the end, she was taking lots of shade and snow breaks. Nikita seemed to handle it better. Their favourite parts of today's run was 1) going outside!, 2) seeing a cat, 3) chasing the cat, 4) barking at the cat, and 5) seeing a bunny! Thankfully, the bunny was right at their house so when it hopped away we went right inside. My favourite parts were enjoying the beautiful day with Nikita and Lucy, and the party we all had when I first got there. Thanks for a really fun run girls! Lucy - 4 pees, no poops. Nikita - 2 pees, no poops. Runner: Laura ![]() DISTANCE: 4.73 km DURATION: 59:27 When I picked Jasper up for our trip to River Park, he decided he wanted to play a game of tag before getting in my car. I chased him around the front lawn until eventually I got ahold of him. I think me running around trying to catch Jasper would’ve been a great show for the neighbours. Jasper really didn’t want to get in my car at first. He must have thought I was taking him to the vet. However, once we got closer, the excitement kicked in. Jasper made plenty of friends at the dog park, both human and animal, specifically a Poodle that played with him for at least 15 minutes. I had a very hard time getting Jasper to follow me and not this Poodle. Overall, today was a great walk and it always makes my day to get out with Jasper. The scoop: one poo and many pees. Runner: Owen ![]() DISTANCE: 9.72 km DURATION: 57:10 Happy Thursday Nell! This is the last nice day before the polar vortex so let's make it a good one!! We hit the pavement rockin’ and rollin’; sprinting along the river. As we zoomed through all the people walking home from work, we came across many fire-pit ”pop-ups”. This city adds such a unique touch to their pathways, I love it! It was a perfect addition to our evening run. Watching the sunset combined with the smell and warmth of campfires along the way; it was amazing! Yet again - another great run with my gal pal, Nell. It sounds as if Sunday may be a no go for a run being that it will be -24 so hopefully, we will be back at it Tuesday! Until then, Miss Nell! Can't wait! No scoop to report today. Runner: Paige ![]() DISTANCE: 8.25 km DURATION: 1:02:07 If you're inside while reading this blog, stop immediately and get outside. Winter is coming with a wallop this weekend so Leo and I took every opportunity to enjoy the mild weather while we could. I told Leo we were earning the right to sit underneath a blanket with a good book, with family at our side. And possibly as an ominous sign, Leo took it upon himself to linger in a few snowbanks likely not knowing that he won't have to work hard to find another next week. But keeping my focus on today, Leo and I took in our usual route not far from waddling geese and the river. There were quite a few runners and dog walkers out today, and I think Leo was a little disappointed we didn't linger and make friends. As usual, Leo was more of the mind to stop and take in all the wonder around him. We returned to his door filthy again, but a towel fixed that problem in a pinch. Stay warm, Leo. See you next week. The scoop: 1 poop, 7 pees. Runner: Sheri ![]() DISTANCE: 9.96 km DURATION: 1:06:06 Today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and running Rossi! He warmed up to me right away, and led me to all his favourite spots in Edworthy and around his home. I knew when we were getting off his 'track' when he would stop and pout until we turned around! After the first few times he did that, I started to call him 'Lord Rossi' because he was a total gentleman to run with - always keeping close and looking back to see if I was still there - but he also threw some pretty good Boxer fits when I tried to take him in a direction he didn't want to go. All of the pictures are usually at one of these turn-around points, so there aren't many smiles, but rest assured, he was smiling the entire time! If I run him again, I'll definitely wear my trail shoes so we can explore more of Edworthy. He loves the trails so much that when we were on a path and he saw a 'shortcut' through grass to another path that people have made, he would refuse to move another step until we went down the grassy path. What a character! All in all, it was a fantastic run and it was so wonderful to meet you Rossi! I hope you had a great run! 3 pees and 1 poop. Runner: Laura ![]() DISTANCE: 5.93 km DURATION: 1:00:44 It was such a beautiful day for a run! We did struggle a bit with energy when on sidewalks, but once we got to the trails we took off!! I'm just like Juno - I like scenic routes much more than just sidewalks! So many fun things to see and discover on trails! We saw squirrels, birds, snow, ice, other pups, and trains!! Such a great time today! Did some great climbs as usual! Thank you Juno for such a great time! 2 poops and 4 pees. Runner: Oxana ![]() DISTANCE: 5.73 km DURATION: 1:12:53 These kids were a little off the wall today!😆 It took us a minute of going around in circles to get suited up for our run. All good. Polaris and Kobe always put a smile on my face.😊 After that, we headed out anxious to enjoy the last of our nice days for a while 🙈. The three of us started out running but then Polaris decided she was done and started to roll and stroll!😂 Kobe didn’t mind whatsoever you could tell by the look on his face that he appreciated every single break. As for myself, I’m just happy being out with my two BFFs from Arbour Lake. After we hit the pond and came across the bridge, Kobe took over and led us back to the ranch. Thanks for the fun afternoon Polaris and Kobe! Pleasure as always! 1 poo for Polaris, none for Kobe, and many pees each. Cheers! Runner: Tracy ![]() DISTANCE: 7.61 km DURATION: 1:25:54 I can honestly say that you’ll never be able to call Mona, Reilly, and me the “Speedy Bunch!“ Perhaps the “Crazy Bunch” or even the “Brady Bunch” but definitely not the speedy bunch! 😂 These ladies were just too cute for words today! For some reason, Mona wanted to go shopping! She tried to get Reilly and me to go to Market Mall?!?!! We said no, I didn’t have my wallet.😜 Eventually, we made it to the off-leash area and forgot all about shopping! Mona and Reilly took me down the icy trails, and into unknown territory but as always, I just went with it. We then hit the river for a well-needed drink. I could see the longing in their eyes for some water sports (I guess we’re all looking forward to summer) and then back to where we started. Thanks for another happy adventure Mona and Reilly! 2 poos for Reilly, 1 poo for Mona, and many pees each. Cheers ladies!😊 Runner: Tracy ![]() DISTANCE: 7.84 km. DURATION: 1:00:14 It was a great morning with my favourite girls. There were lots of exciting things for Gibbons and Toki to smell today, as a bunch of brush and grass had been cleared away along the sides of the paths. The girls were happy to jog at a leisurely pace; apart from the occasional bursts of energy from Toki. Sadly for Toki, there were no squirrel encounters. However, there were a few other doggies to say hi to along the way! At the end of the run, we went to the backyard for the girls to poo. Toki and I had fun playing tug o' war. Gibbons just wanted some cuddles in the sun. It was a great morning! The Scoop: Gibbons had 1 poo, 1 pee. Toki had 2 pees. Runner: Brooke ![]() DISTANCE: 9.17 km. DURATION: 1:27:33 Another lovely day in my favourite gang's neighbourhood! Shadow was eager and happy to go for his run. But wait, is it not Thursday today? Oh yes, Shadow it is Thursday. You are right and it looks like you will enjoy a run every day now. Shadow was quick to see the bright side of it. “Will I get more treats now that I run more?” I think yes! Shadow was all business today; trotting along at a fairly good pace. He didn’t even want to stop much to sniff around. He came back home full of energy and very happy! Then it was the gals' turn for a little walk. I have to say Pinky really enjoys being part of the gang. We even walked a little bit further today, and she loved it. The other wonderful news is that Mocha felt much better today. Hurray!! Today, we had no poo at all. Shadow had multiple pees. Mocha and Pinky had 2 pees and Java had one pee. Runner: Fab ![]() DISTANCE: 3.13 km DURATION: 54:03 Ice skates would've been an acceptable footwear choice on today's walk with Gogol. Everywhere we stepped: ice. It was like Mr. Freeze (the Arnold Schwarzenegger version, of course) had made a visit. We went along a path that cuts across the middle of the ridge. It was narrow, and 90% black ice. It was awesome! I had to keep myself up by holding on to branches and staggering my stance to gain ultimate levels of balance. Gogol was doing pretty fine on the ice, and he was very kind as he waited for me to catch up. Good job Gogol! I'm sorry a bootie was lost in the end. 1 poo, many pees. Runner: Ryan ![]() DISTANCE: 7.06 km DURATION: 51:57 Although my body is in a lot of pain today, this sweet lady helped me push through it. Kahlua and I maintained our pace as usual, and we conquered the slippery sidewalks with ease. Our last kilometre was a little bit challenging as we just ran around the block. Kahlua knew she was close to home, and was going to just walk it out, but nothing motivates Kahlua more than squirrels. Once she lays her eyes on just one of those cute little rodents, she gets a boost of energy from deep inside her soul. Lucky for them she's on a leash, but they still scurry up trees in terror. Good job today Kahlua! 1 poo, many pees. Runner: Ryan ![]() DISTANCE: 3.18 km DURATION: 33:27 Nikita and Lucy were on full alert today! They stared and barked at anything that moved in their neighbourhood, and then both decided that instead of going to the park right away, they'd better check out a couple of other neighbourhoods too! Nikita eventually led us back to their park where we finished off the half hour. On these short runs, they never know if they can stay longer or not, so they always try to tell me that actually, it's supposed to be a long run today and we're going to sit here and not move until it is! They crack me up. After many pets and a few failed selfies (with one success!), we were able to get home calmer than when we left. I think they enjoyed their outing as much as I did! Thanks girls! 2 pees each, no poops. Runner: Laura |
