Today, Lucy and I went exploring again. We liked the Beddington neighbourhoods so much last week that I thought it would be a nice treat to head over there with more time and distance to spare. We found some beautiful little paths that Lucy loved! Although, I think she loved the close proximity to squirrels on the paths more than the paths themselves! Whenever we were out of the wind, Lucy got a little warm, so we took our time and had some walk breaks. The paths we found were mostly lovely and shaded though so she was happy to run along and explore. It was another quiet run, but there was one very exciting part for the both of us - a squirrel almost fell on Lucy's head! It was trying to scramble up a fence away from her but wasn't a super good climber. I have dog attack spray, but no squirrel attack spray so I was happy to see it make it up and over. We ended out our run with some cool-down time; walking around her home to finish up our 10km, and then had lots of water and pets once inside. She is such a good girl, and is always so happy to have been on a run. Our post-run snuggle sessions are definitely one of my favourite parts of running Lucy. I hope she's having a great nap! Thanks so much for the run Lucy! It's always fun exploring Calgary with you! 1 pee, 1 poop, 0 squirrels.
